Chapter 22 - The Ex-Husband's Revenge - Chapter 22

After dinner, Leon and Iris left the Young household together. They headed to her villa at Dragonbay.

At that moment, the housekeeper already tidied up a room for Leon to stay in.

Lying on the bed, Leon finally had some peace. He planned on properly looking at what he inherited from

the ancestor of the Wolfs.

Shutting his eyes, waves of memories that he inherited

flowed into his mind.

Among them were various ancient and secret techniques.

There were medical books, secret manuals, and more.

What? There was also a method for dual practicing?

Leon decided to figure out what practitioners were.

Martial artists pursued martial arts. They practiced inner and physical strength.

Sage art practitioners practiced the sage arts. They focused on the spiritual energies of the world.

Comparatively, the sage arts were even deeper and harder to master.

However, after thousands of years, the sage arts were long lost. Even martial artists were incredibly rare.

It seemed like sage arts were quite remarkable. Leon felt like it was something he needed to pick up.

Leon discarded any stray thoughts as he sat cross–legged on the bed, starting to practice.

As he meditated and breathed in and out, thin wisps of spiritual energy began to slowly flow into his body from the air. Trace amounts of spiritual energy started to gather within the energy centers of his body.

The spiritual energy slowly began to flow and condensed into the size of a bean, staying within his energy center.

By the time Leon woke up from his practice, it was already dawn the next day.

"Huff…" Leon let out a long sigh.

He did not sleep for an entire night, but not only did he not feel exhausted at all, he felt incredibly awake instead. His whole body seemed to be filled with energy.

"I've entered the initial stage of energy refinement," Leon clenched his fist as he let out a smile.

"It's a pity that there isn't much spiritual energy around here. Otherwise, I'll probably have been even faster," Leon shook his head. Based on the memories he

inherited, the sage arts needed spiritual energy from the environment.

The better the surroundings were, the more spiritual energy there would be.

That was why many ancient experts liked to hide deep in

the mountains.

Mountains?

Right, the villas in the area were surrounded by

mountains and rivers. There was a mountain right behind this villa. Could the spiritual energy be denser there?

The moment Leon thought about it, he felt tempted to head up the mountain to try it out. However, he felt like it was already too late. He discarded the notion, planning on thinking about it at night.

After Leon made his plans, Jenny already finished preparing breakfast and called out to him.

On the dining table, Leon kept on stealing looks at Iris as

he ate, feeling a little uncomfortable.

"Leon, can you just focus on eating? Why do you keep

looking at me? Is there something on my face?" Iris

touched her face curiously.

"It's not that, I was just thinking of quickly finding a

place to rent somewhere. Then I'll be able to move out,"

Leon laughed awkwardly. He had money at that moment.

He felt bad to continue staying with Iris and relying on

her.

Yet, he did not feel like moving out for some reason.

Iris suddenly stopped eating as she said softly, "You can

keep staying here. I have plenty of empty rooms anyway.

It's more convenient for you to stay with me instead of finding a place to rent outside.

"It's been quite lonely staying here alone the past two years. I've been wanting someone around to talk to me…"

"Really? That's great!" Leon was elated. After all, he would be able to save some money then.

However, it merely confirmed Iris' thoughts about him being a pervert.

That was not necessarily a bad thing.

So, Iris rolled her eyes at Leon, "Hurry up and eat! After you eat, I'll take you to the company with me and get your job arranged for you."

"Okay," Leon nodded. Thinking that he would not only be able to stay in the same place as Iris in the future, but also go to and return from work together, he could not stop himself from feeling a little happy.

After they had breakfast, Iris took Leon to the villa's

garage.

The garage was very big, and there were quite a few cars

inside. All of the cars were luxury cars that were worth a

fortune.

"Leon, you can pick any of these cars you want. I'll give one to you for you to go to work with in the future," Iris pointed at the row of cars in front of her and said.

Leon was shocked. He hurriedly put his hands up and

said, "I don't have a driver's license!"
