Oh, boy, Jason had no idea what he was getting himself into. Leo closed Festus' panel, climbed down, and sat across from Jason, patting his legs with both hands. He didn't want to talk. He didn't want to even think about it. But....he had to get through this one way or another right? If he got rejected, he got rejected. Simple. Accept it, drive through the pain, and move on. Leo sighed, noticing those piercing, blue eyes wouldn't quit staring at him, probing at him, waiting for him to talk. He took a calming breath and decided to just blurt it out. "I-I have a crush! There, I said it. Happy?" Leo tried to run away, wanting to look like he was busy starting a new project, but Jason held him there with his stare. "Oh? And, uh, who is it? You know, if you don't mind me asking?" Leo gulped. What if he was judged for liking a guy? What if Jason didn't take him seriously? What if- "Hey, hey, you don't have to-"
Leo blurted it out, too nervous to stay silent. "Its you, Sparky, it's you!" Jason blushed a little. "Don't call me that, either. And, Leo?" "Hmm?" Leo mumbled, full of nervous energy, and staring at the ground. "I've also got a crush. Can you guess who it is?" Leo pondered for a moment. "Piper?" Jason wrinkled his nose. "No, Leo, think." Leo did. But he didn't get anywhere. Jason sighed but he wasn't disappointed or mad.
"I'll give you a hint."
He leaned in, so close, Leo felt his breath on his ear. "His last name is Valdez."
