"Ray Grandfell, you're late."
"I apologize, sir I totally forgot about the training and I practiced on my own."
"On your "mind realm"?"
'How did he know?'
Ray was silent for a few moments.
"Yes."
Suddenly Rell, Approached Ray.
"You!! Don't you know how dangerous it is for us mage to enter the mind realm!!?"
"What're you talking about? I've never had any trouble inside the mind realm."
"You mean this isnt the only time you entered it?!"
Rell asked.
"Yes, I've done it on multiple occasions."
"!"
After the council heard this they were baffled.
The headmaster then approached Ray again.
"Ray, do you know what the mind realm is?"
"I guess a training space where I can steadily grow."
"Your half right, but half wrong, yes it's a training space but it isnt just a place where you can "steadily" grow the creatures that manifests in the mind realm can...kill you."
'What? It's actually possible to get killed in that place?.'
"Why are you telling me this?"
"To prevent you from entering it!"
"Have you forgotten?? You're the chosen one if you die too early the empire could get destroyed by the demons!"
Then suddenly Ray snapped
"Then couldn't you guys just train the others!!?"
Ray shouted furiously.
"Why do I have to bear the responsibilities of the entire empire just because I'm a little more talented than others!?!"
"Cant all of you just solve this by yourselves instead of giving all of the responsibilities to me!?"
The council was bewildered at Ray's behaviour.
Then Ray's grandfather, Voln walked towards Ray as he shouted.
"When did we say we were going to let you face all those responsibilities by yourself?! Calm down!"
'What the fuck was that? Why did I suddenly...'
Ray calmed down as he apologized.
"I'm sorry...I dont know what got into me."
*sigh
"It's late but, let's start you're training."
"Here??"
Ray asked curiously
"Of course not, were going somewhere else."
Voln said.
"But what about my classes?"
Then The headmaster said.
"Don't worry I got that covered, and there's an important person here."
Just as the headmaster finished his sentence a person emerged from the shadows.
*whoosh*
"She is one of the Legendary 4 "True Magi"
The headmaster stated, as a woman wearing a jet black clothes and had the attire of an assassin appeared from the shadows.
'The legendary true magi?! I've heard of them, They're genius mages who've contributed a lot in the advancement of magic!'
Upon hearing this Ray was quite shocked knowing that he's mostly calm.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, Chosen One, I am The Shadow Magus. "
And as soon as the shadow magus appeared
She stated as Ray was baffled.
'I immediately tried to use Heavenly Eye on her...but this, this is unbelievable!'
Ray thought as he gazed at the shadow magus's stats.
[Power immeasurable!] [Power immeasurable] [Power immeasurable]
Ray tried several times to gauge her power, but even the system couldn't give Ray the unsurmountable strength of the shadow magus.
Then the shadow magus looked towards Ray and asked.
"Chosen one, are you okay? Your nose is bleeding."
She said nonchalantly.
"What?"
Ray asked as he wiped the blood from his nose.
'What is this?! This is the first time something like this happened!'
Because Ray tried several times to gauge the shadow magus's power his mind was overloaded by too much information from the system's messages causing him to have a nosebleed.
Then the shadow magus asked
"Did you try to gauge my power?"
'How did she know?!'
"..."
Ray was silent.
"That's a useful ability but you shouldn't have used it on me..."
meanwhile the council magus's were shocked upon seeing what was happening to Ray.
And on the other hand, the shadow magus pondered as what technique Ray used.
"Grandfell kid, are you okay?"
Rell asked.
"My grandson did you really try to gauge the shadow magus's power?? I'm amazed, to think you would have a skill such as that."
All of them had misunderstood what happened they had thought that Ray successfully scanned the shadow magus's power, except for one.
And just as Ray was about to explain that he didn't actually succeed he's sentence was cut off by a someone.
"I think you misunde-"
Then out of nowhere a purple haired individual appeared, upon seeing her Ray thought that she was a lot kid due to her small stature.
"All of you are misunderstood him, he didn't gauge her power, it's more like he tried to but failed."
'H-how did she figure that out without me even telling it to any of them yet, she isn't a normal kid.'
"And I forgot to introduce myself, pleased to meet you, Ray Grandfell, My name is..."
"Flora Deusfleur, The Flower Magus."
'She's a titled mage? And her title is a unique one at that, this means she's already managed to create her own "origin magic" unlike an "origin spell"!'
'But she seems to be part of the council, well their were others who didn't show themselves to me when I visited them, she must be one of them.'
Then Flora asked Ray.
"What are you so curious about? Your stare is quite intense."
"O-oh It's nothing."
"I know you're quite curious about how old I am, since I look like a kid don't you?"
"Honestly, Yes, your height surprised me, but are you really a child?"
"No, moreover, I'm much older than i look, and I'm also older than Gardan, my real identity is..."*
* (The real identity of flora will be revealed later on, but it has already been revealed to Ray in the verse.)
"WHAT?!"
'It's been a while since I was genuinely shocked, but she's...nevermind.'
Then the headmaster said.
"Okay okay, I think you guys have finished your conversations, so Ray, you will be training with all council members and the shadow magus or miss, xxxxxxx ."
'I didn't understand that last part, but there's no need to think about it for now.'
"So how long will I be training for?"
"2 years at most, I've already informed your professors, and friends that you will be in solitary training for 2 years."
Then Rell Grimm added.
"2 years? That's quite a long time, will this bird who hasn't even learned how to fly yet be able to take it?"
Then the headmaster answered.
"Don't worry, Rell, This flightless bird is quite capable even without wings."
'Are they really using "birds" as metaphor to describe me?'
The shadow magus asked Ray.
"So kid, are you ready? But lastly, I need to repeat this, never use the mind realm unless it's an emergency or you've mastered the flow of mana."
'I don't see any reason to, but I have a feeling It's better not to tell them this.'
"Yes, of course I'm ready."
Then Gardan said.
"Ok then, everyone get near me, I will now use a mass teleportation spell."
Everyone gathered around him as blue particles appeared in the air and a huge magic circle was being conjured below them.
And a moment later, they teleported, and left behind a note in the castle to inform the guards what happened.
Then after they finished the teleportation process Ray saw an unfamiliar place.
It was the most peculiar area Ray had ever seen, Huge fields of grassland in the right, and a barren land on the other, they seemed to have been split perfectly.
Ray asked curiously
"What...is this??"
Then suddenly out of nowhere an unknown voice said to Ray.
"Welcome, Ray Grandfell, or should I say Ray xxxxxxx, or should I call you...Asura!"
Then Ray looked around and saw a mysterious figure.
He then asked.
"Who are you?!"
"Aw~, Don't you remember me? It's your "Arch nemesis", keke!!"
Upon hearing this, Ray immediately remembered a certain memory.

Earth, year XXXX, 6 months until human extinction
A humanoid figure in the middle of a destroyed city shouted.
"Hahaha!!! Finally! I've managed to descend to this forsaken world!"
*crack
The humanoid figure looked back after he heard a sound, and he saw a human concealing his face coming towards him.
"Hm? Are you here to die, lowly human?"
"Did you do this? Were you the one who annihilated this city?"
Then the figure laughed hysterically.
"Ha! Of course I was."
The human asked.
"Then you must be strong enough to kill me, right?"
"Who would ask such a stupid question? Of course I am to think the human race is not just weak but are also idiots, the only thing worth it about this world, is It's resources."
"If you really are powerful enough to kill me, please use your strongest attack!"
Then the human revealed his face, a black haired man emitting a dark aura, with no wounds whatsoever which was extremely rare when "doors" appeared, the man cried.
"You...you really do want to die don't you? Fine then, bye bye~"
The humanoid figure said as he brought down a meteor from the skies.
"Now please don't be disappointed but if I use my strongest attack I may destroy this world, now's not the time for that yet."
The man looked at the falling meteor as he smiled.
"Finally, I can die."
The meteor hit the man as expected.
But, as the meteor disintegrated due to the power of the mysterious figure, and as the dust dissipated, the man was alive, with no scratches on him.
"W-what?!"
