Chapter 6 - Chapter Five: Lyanna Morrigan

It had been two weeks, and Alex was outside playing with Raven when they saw a carriage arrive along with two guards in complete armor with swords at their sides.

Alex and Raven were both confused by what was happening, and they quickly went inside their house to tell their mother who had arrived. When they told her, Anna's eye lit up as she exclaimed "She's here!" before Anna left the house through the front door.

Alex and Raven both looked at each other confusedly before they followed their mother out the front door and towards the carriage that had stopped in front of their house. One of the guards opened up the door, and the first person to step out of it looked nearly identical to their mother, with long black hair and purple eyes and even a similar body as their mother. The only real difference was that she had a small beauty mark at the bottom of her left lip.

"Lyanna, it's so good to see you!" Anna said while motioning to hug her sister.

"Anna, it's been far too long" Lyanna said, responding to her sister's hug.

The two embraced, and another person left the carriage, this time a girl around the age of Alex and Raven. She had long red hair wrapped up in a ponytail and beautiful amber-colored eyes. She was wearing a red dress that matched her hair, and as she looked around and saw Anna, she ran up and hugged her in excitement.

"Aunt Lyanna!" the girl said loudly.

"Aunt?" Alex and Raven thought to themselves.

Alex looked at the girl and thought to himself "I guess we have a cousin we didn't know about...and that must mean that this Lyanna person is..."

"Hey Amelie, my how you've grown. Your turning into a proper young lady now." Anna said, looking at the little girl.

Lyanna laughed before saying "Yeah, if being proper means completely chaotic, then your right, dear sister. It took me hours to convince her to get ready to come down here yesterday."

Anna laughed when hearing, "That's how children get."

While the two were talking, a third and final figure was left out of the carriage. She was around the same age as Amelie, Ren, and Raven; she was dressed like a maid, and she had short brown hair that reached down to her shoulders. She also had brown eyes.

She walked down shyly with her head down, staying off to the side. Anna, noticing this, walked up to her and said "Hello, you must be Eve; my name is Anna."

"H-Hello Miss Anna..." Eve said shyly.

Anna pointed over at Alex and Raven and told Eve "Eve, these are my children, Raven and Alex. I hope you three become good friends."

Eve, when looking over at the two siblings, had a slight sparkle in her eyes before putting her head back down shyly.

Alex, seeing how shy Eve was, made a quick decision and walked up to Eve before putting his hand up for her to shake and introducing himself to her. "I know my mom just said my name, but I'm Alex. It's nice to meet you."

Eve looked up at him and said "Hello...I-I'm Eve."

Alex smiled at her before hearing his mother's voice calling him over.

"Alex, Raven, come here!" Anna said to the two.

The siblings listened and walked over to where Anna, Lyanna, and Amelie were standing.

Out of the corner of Alex's eye, he spotted Mary talking to Eve and taking her inside their house.

Lyanna looked at the siblings and said "Wow, look at how much you two have grown. I haven't seen the two of you since you were younger. You may not remember me, but I'm your Aunt Lyanna, your mom's older sister."

"We're twins, Lyanna..." Anna commented on hearing her sister call herself the older of the two.

"But I came out first, so that means I'm older." Lyanna said almost as if she took pride in that.

Anna groaned before just accepting the fact that Lyanna would never give that up.

Alex, now with a much closer look at Lyanna, did see she was, as he had previously assumed, nearly identical to his mother in almost every way. The only difference was the beauty mark under her lip; other than that, the two had no differences.

Lyanna then walked over to her daughter, Amelie, and put her arm around her to introduce her. "This is my beautiful daughter, Amelie. I know she doesn't look like me at all; she gets her looks from her father."

With a closer look at Amelie, Alex noticed she did not really look like her mother; she had different colored hair and eyes, and she didn't possess the beauty mark that her mother did; instead, she had a few freckles around her nose and cheeks.

"Uhm Hello." Amelie introduced herself.

Lyanna then looked at Anna, who nodded in response, and Anna asked her children "Why don't you two take Amelie into the house and show her where she and her mother will be sleeping?"

Alex nodded his head while Raven responded "Sure, mommy!"

The two siblings took Amelie into the house, but before doing so, Alex looked back at his mother and Lyanna, who simply waved at him before he walked into the house. He knew something was about to be discussed of grave importance.

Anna made sure Alex, Raven, and Amelie were all gone from sight before she turned to her sister and asked her "Eve...is she?"

Lyanna quickly answered "Yes, my personal guard saved her from...them before she could be initiated.

"Did they take care of that sect?" Anna asked.

"Yes, I burned it to the ground; no survivors." Lyanna said it with a sigh.

Lyanna put her hand on the right side of her right thigh before asking Anna "How's Kaede?"

"She's...improving. She still has trouble speaking about how she feels or even showing emotion, but I can tell she does at least care about Alex and Raven, which is progress from how she used to be." Anna answered.

"Good..." Lyanna said, then looked over at the house and asked Anna "Do you sense your magic inside of Alex and Raven?"

Anna smiled "Both of them possess powerful magic; Raven's I can identify as similar to my own; if honed correctly, she could even be stronger than I am. Of course it will be tough to get her anywhere near that level."

Lyanna nodded but then asked "What about Alex?"

This question made Anna look puzzled "I can sense his power; my power does reside inside him, but it's...weird."

"Weird?" Lyanna asked.

"Yes, he has tons of power residing in him, but it seems my power is only part of it." Anna said.

"How? Isn't he only connected to our family line?" Lyanna asked her sister, confused.

"Yes, it should be impossible for him to have such a large amount of foreign power inside of him. It wouldn't be a problem if there was only a little bit; after all, evolution and change are only to be expected as the generations continue, but this amount...it's almost as if there's some outside influence supplying him with insane amounts of power." Anna answered.

"Maybe he's blessed by the gods?" Lyanna said it jokingly.

Anna laughed a little at her sister's response "If only...but you know the divines rarely get involved in human matters. Besides, they've already blessed the 'hero' of this generation. This has to be something else... I just need to solve this puzzle. His magical growth will be the greatest mystery I've ever seen. I can't predict what will happen in the future; I can only help him."

Lyanna smiled and said "Interesting...question is, how will Alex handle said power?"

Anna looked at her sister, confused, and asked "What do you mean?"

Lyanna answered her truthfully. "Power corrupts; we both know this well. Especially with our...bloodline history. We both know that if you cannot sense his power, then everything he will become will be unknown. What will you do if his own power changes him?"

Anna's expression turned extremely serious "That won't be a problem; I won't let power change him into something unrecognizable, and if it does...I will handle it the way I see fit."

Lyanna looked at Anna's face and said "Whatever you say, younger sister."

"We're twins, Lyanna." Anna said, sighing.

"Still my little sister." Lyanna teased.

*Inside the Blackwood Household*

Edward was walking down a hallway, and next to him was his ever-loyal butler.

"That damn woman...she dares invite her sister without even asking me?" Edward said it angrily. "Ever since our fraud of a marriage, she has been avoiding me as much as she can. She should be mine! Instead, she still holds her rebellious streak. If I had my way, she'd be mine in every single way..."

Edward sighed and asked his butler "Alfred, go into town and use my coin to get to talk to Imelda. Tell her to send me one of her best girls; the coin doesn't matter."

"Preferences sir?" Alfred asked.

"...black hair." Edward said with a wicked smile.

"Understood sir." Alfred said before bowing and leaving.

Edward continued to walk to his chambers, holding that wicked smile on his face and thoughts of evil flowing through his mind, all of which were those of Anna "One day...you will be mine, you bitch."
