Chapter 35 - You are full of shit !

"There is no need for you to take the bell anymore"

The trio, still a bit confused, looked to him for an explanation. Tenzo clarified that the whole exercise was a test of their abilities and teamwork, and the fact that they made him reveal his Mokuton was sufficient for genin level.he also ended his explanation with freeing them

"I don't see the need to do more, I already have a basic idea of your abilities and personalities. "

"Really ? Awesome ! "

"Yes ! "

Naruto and Sakura cheered at the news, expressing their excitement. However, Sasuke, driven by a desire for more challenging battles, wore an annoyed expression. Tenzo instructed them to clean up the battlefield and then meet again near the wooden stump at the training ground. The trio nodded in agreement, ready for whatever came next.

Much later, as the trio gathered again, sitting on the ground with crossed legs, Tenzo initiated a session to deepen their understanding of each other. He started by telling them to present themselves, sharing not just basic details like age, likes, and dislikes, but also providing insight into their dreams and aspirations.

"I'm Tenzo, but outside, you have to call me Yamato-senpai, or Yamato-sensei. It doesn't really matter. I'm over 24. I like to sculpt and work on woodwork. I dislike people bothering me while I do my hobby. My dream is to become the greatest woodworker in the world."

Naruto, with a mischievous tone, asked, "What would happen if someone bothers you while you're working on your pieces?"

Tenzo, suddenly wearing a ghostly expression, replied, "They wouldn't enjoy the result."

"Aaaaaaaaaa a ghost!"

With the stage set, Sakura took the lead in presenting herself. She shared not only factual information but also snippets of her personality, providing a glimpse into her character. As she spoke, Naruto eagerly raised his hand, ready to jump into his own introduction.

Naruto's presentation was as energetic as expected, with his dynamic personality shining through. Telling tenzo that he love ramen,he added that he dislike paperwork, and that his first decree as a hokage would be to ban the evil paperwork. He concluded his introduction with a bold proclamation of his dream—to become the greatest Hokage.

Sasuke, sporting a side smile, couldn't resist injecting a sarcastic comment into the mix, suggesting that Naruto had a better chance at becoming Hokage than Kiba dog, to Naruto indignation. This playful banter between Naruto and Sasuke prompted sighs from both Sakura and Tenzo, the latter asking if it was a common occurrence. Sakura, in a deadpan manner, assured Tenzo that he would undoubtedly get used to such lively interactions.

Sasuke, with a demeanor reminiscent of his past, delivered an intro, expressing his disdain for idiots and his ominous dream of killing someone. His cold smirk focused on Naruto, who couldn't help but feel a sudden chill.

"Hey, what's your problem, Sasuke-teme !? Quit trying to scare me like that, you bastard! "

Tenzo, trying to diffuse the tension, chuckled and intervened.

"Alright, enough of that. Time for a mission, let's get back to your usual routine, team. "

"Yes ! " x3

-----------------------------------------------------

The Hokage's office was adorned with scrolls, artifacts, and a solemn atmosphere befitting the leader of the village. As the trio and Tenzo stood before him, Hiruzen Sarutobi, the Third Hokage, acknowledged their presence with a wise gaze and a nod.

"Ah, Team 7 and Yamato. How are you all faring?" The Hokage's warm smile invited conversation.

Tenzo stepped forward, his posture respectful. "Hokage-sama, I now go by the name Yamato."

The Hokage's eyes twinkled with understanding. "A fitting choice. Now, how has your integration with Team 7 been?"

Yamato spoke up, "It's been challenging, but we're learning to work together."

The Hokage nodded approvingly, his attention turning to Naruto. "And what about you, Glad to be back at doing missions, Naruto? I just hope this time, you wont rush into danger without thinking of the repercussion "

Naruto, as always, didn't hesitate. "Hokage-Ji, can we get a big mission? A cool one, like facing dangerous monsters!"

A hearty chuckle escaped the Hokage's lips. "Always eager for excitement, Naruto. However, I'm afraid I only have D-rank missions for now. Iruka, could you please assign them three missions to complete over the week?"

Iruka, who had been quietly observing the exchange, nodded. "Of course, Hokage-sama. I'll make sure they get suitable tasks."

Iruka began distributing the scrolls to each member of Team 7, the anticipation evident on their faces. However, just as he was about to hand Naruto a scroll, the Hokage, Hiruzen Sarutobi, interjected.

"Wait, Iruka. Bring the brown scroll here," Hiruzen requested, his tone holding a mysterious edge.

Iruka, caught off guard, managed a stiff smile, feeling a sudden wave of sympathy for his old student. finding out what was being asje, he carefully approached the Hokage with the designated brown scroll in hand.

"Leave this one to Naruto," Hiruzen instructed, a sly smile playing on his lips. With a dismissive wave of his hand, he signaled Iruka to go on.

Confused by the unusual exchange, Naruto turned to his team, questioning why the Hokage seemed so peculiar today. The team, equally perplexed, could only exchange puzzled glances. Seeking an answer, Naruto turned to Tenzo, who struggled to contain his laughter behind a stiff expression.

As the trio eagerly opened their scrolls, a sudden chill overcame them when they saw the missions assigned to each.

Sasuke, relieved to find a mission involving walking a nobleman's dogs, let out a sigh. Sakura, discovering her task was to deliver supplies to a merchant caravan, showed Sasuke her scroll with a grin.

However, all eyes turned to Naruto, who stood there frozen, his body visibly shaking. The atmosphere around him grew tense as the weight of his mission seemed to hang heavily in the air.

Desperation in his eyes, Naruto turned to Tenzo, pleading for assurance that it was all a joke. Unable to contain himself any longer, Tenzo burst into laughter, the sound echoing through the room.

"Hahahahahahaha "

Intrigued by the commotion, Sasuke and Sakura took the scroll from Naruto's hands and read its contents. Soon enough, they joined Tenzo in uproarious laughter, the absurdity of Naruto's mission sinking in.

"Manure picking and earth irrigation? A whole week ? Hahahaha "

Sakura giggling, she told naruto to do his best "a future hokage can't fail his missions, naruto ! "

Naruto, appearing utterly broken, his spirit seemingly trying to escape his body, desperately clung to Tenzo's leg. He begged for another mission, pleading with a gaze that tugged at Tenzo's sympathy.

"Please please please Yamato-sensei ! Lets change the mission ! "

However, Tenzo, still chuckling, firmly denied Naruto's request, emphasizing that it was a mission handpicked by the Hokage himself.

Turning to his teammates for support, Naruto sought solace, only to be met with swift rejection. Sakura and Sasuke, denying him almost in unison, encouraged him to do his best. Sasuke, wearing a mischievous smile, couldn't resist a teasing remark, suggesting Naruto might aim to become the "manure kage" if the dream of being Hokage proved too challenging.

"Well, Naruto, if being Hokage is too hard, you can always aim for the manure kage. Perfect fit, don't you think?"

Naruto, offended by the jest, yelled back at Sasuke for his relentless teasing "Shut up, you asshole ! Just wait until I become Hokage, and then we'll see who's laughing!"

"call me an ass all you want but its you who will end up smelling like one. "

"WHY YOU--- "

Hiruzen, catching wind of the banter, and Iruka, drawn in by the laughter, joined the playful teasing. Both addressing Naruto with mock formality, they chimed in unison.

"Ah, our esteemed Manure Kage-sama! A title fit for a leader!"

"Indeed, Manure Kage-sama, your greatness knows no bounds!"

They all burst into laughter, leaving Naruto in a state of embarrassment and frustration.

"Old man ! Change it ! This is too much ! "

Hiruzen, wearing a stern expression, began his lecture on the importance of embracing all kinds of missions.

"Naruto, the path to becoming a hokage is filled with challenges. Sometimes, we must accept tasks that may not seem glorious but are crucial for our growth."

Internally, Hiruzen couldn't help but chuckle at the absurdity of the situation. Nevertheless, he continued with his theatrical performance.

"Facing a seemingly menial mission head-on is a testament to your dedication! It's about demonstrating resilience and determination in the face of adversity!"

Sasuke exchanged glances with Sakura, both sharing an amused yet slightly exasperated look. Naruto, still in a state of disbelief, couldn't fathom the gravity the Hokage was giving to the situation.pointing at him, he conveyed his thoughts

"You..are full of shit ! "

Hiruzen, maintaining his righteous facade, delivered a line that even he found humorous deep down.

"Naruto, a true shinobi doesn't back down from any challenge, no matter how unconventional it may seem!"

Continuing with his lecturing despite the comical display, he raised his index finger dramatically.

"a shinobi's path is filled with challenges. Embrace this mission, for it will shape you into the Manure Kage you were destined to be! "

Iruka couldn't contain his laughter, and even the stern-faced Tenzo cracked another laugh. The absurdity of the situation was not lost on anyone as Naruto's melodramatic plea and the Hokage's exaggerated wisdom created a very humorous scene.

Naruto,in dogeza mode, managed a pitiful plea

"Hokage-sama, please! I'll do your paperwork for a month, just not this mission!"

Iruka, wiping away tears of laughter, tried to reassure Naruto.

"Come on, Naruto, it's just a D-rank. You'll be fine!"

Sasuke couldn't resist a smug remark.

"Yeah, Naruto, maybe you'll discover your hidden talent for... fertilizer jutsu."The room erupted in laughter, with even the guards chuckling at the spectacle. Hiruzen, maintaining his serious expression, finally gave in to a grin.

"Remember, I believe in you !"

Naruto, still on the floor, his soul getting out of his body, managed a weak "how could you betray me, Hokage-ji !" as he was dragged out of the room by his amused teammates.
