Joining us for the journey was Guilliman's vessel and the other Ultramarines ship. The prodigal son of the Emperor wishing to make certain that I do not attempt anything. His worries were not unfounded but extremely cautious, the Custodes protected the Emperor and they were even more lethal than the Space Marines. None of my troops would be able to contest the Custodes, they were basically lesser gods, no demi or children of gods, but lesser gods. In Warhammer 40k that meant very little psychically but Physically they were immense beings of sheer lethality and death, equipped with technology from the Dark Age of Technology. In other words they were fucking terrifying. This wasn't even mentioning the sisters of silence that were psychically repulsive and were also killing machines.
The reactor for the Dark Justiciar blazed in bright white light as the same wormhole emerged, the dark matter shields spanning around the Imperium vessels to ensure their safety. Much like the journey from multiverse to multiverse our venture only took seconds to be realised and for the armada to appear in the mighty heart of the Imperium, the Sol system.
In a mass of bright light and immense spatial distortions my massive fleet of over 2000 vessels emerged into the solar system. Immediately our sensors started to detect the movements of thousands of ships, an entire battlefleet for a segmentum. The sensor data was intimidating when the sheer size of it was almost triple what I had and even then this was only one of four segmentum fleets. Transmissions passed between Guilliman's ship and the rest of the Battlefleet Solar.
Jean, Hela and Selene were staring out of the main viewing window, witnessing the ever expanding image of Holy Terra and Luna. Off to the side on a separate screen was the Forge World of Mars the capital planet of the Adeptus Mechanicus.
"Holy shit... What is this?"
Surprisingly Selene was the one to make the comment as she watched on in abject fear at the sheer scale of what she was seeing. A whole entire world turned fortress world, hundreds of thousands of defence platforms, station and defences layered around the atmosphere of Terra. Along with a fortification that was the size of a moon, the Phalanx looming over the holy capital of the Imperium, the Imperial Fist's Banner painted across numerous sections of the 'vessel'.
"W-why was this necessary again?"
Some of the crew looked on in fear as well, the idea of plunging into this anthill being one they disliked heavily it seemed. Jean was the one who posed the question and she was just looking at me with a small spark of fear, something i disliked to see in my women, I didn't want them scared.
"Oh, you know... reasons..."
Jean rolled her eyes and continued to, scratch that, she changed from staring to glaring as her intent was obvious. She wanted answers.
"Look, Horus betrayed the Emperor due to some Chaos god Shenanigans. Half the Imperium went with Horus and launched a Coup on the Imperial Throne, Terra. Thus began the Horus Heresy, an event that has a lot of depth and intricacies. Ultimately the Emperor killed his son and banished his soul, following that, the Emperor was mortally wounded and was strapped to a device called the Golden Throne. Long story short this device power a things called the Astronomicon within the Warp that allows Humanity to traverse it for space travel. All together, it has been ten-thousand years since then and he has been suffering by keeping the beacon lit as well as aiding humanity from within the Warp."
Jean looked like i just spouted a bunch of nonsense whilst Selene listened on in horror. Hela was the unique one out of them both as she just began to speak.
"Interesting... So this God Emperor has made a great sacrifice for Humanity within this Galaxy and struggles to maintain this beacon whilst fending off the forces of this chaos you speak of. If that is so, are we here to aid him?"
Smiling at her question I felt the connection we share quiver as they all looked at me in mild confusion, my emotions difficult to comprehend for even basic Primordials.
"Yes... And maybe. It is difficult you see. He does not like AI or anything like it and it was outlawed by him even before the zealots took over. Not only that, he is extremely intelligent and conniving. I have serious doubts about his 'cluelessness' that he showed throughout the Horus Heresy, not to mention the fact that he left several problems behind in an effort to evade a crisis later... So, as i said, maybe and also yes."
Nodding in understand Hela turned back to the bridge window and watched as the thousands of ships of the battlefleet solar gathered near the path my ship was taking. Deciding to be a good and gracious guest I sent a text order through my personal ID to all the other captains and made them wait a fair distance away from Luna, my ship being the singular one to take the path towards the docking port of Luna; The Moon. Guilliman's ship followed and at the same time we docked, my ship automatically connecting and disregarding the need for Human aid. It seems Justiciara was a little moody about being around all of these fanatics.
From there I orders the crew to be ready for anything and to make sure the entire vessel was locked up and secured. I also gave explicit orders to Justiciara to stun and capture any person that comes onto the ship that wasn't me. She grinned and gave me a cute blush, my wives watching on in the background, shaking their heads in defeat.
"Its always the AIs..." She was whispering so I pretended i didn't hear her.
"What was that Jean?"
"N-nothing... Just commenting on how pretty you looked..." I almost scoffed at her response but held my part of the act, smiling widely at her.
"Awww, thanks love." She blushed in embarrassment as she looked away in mild shame. Her thoughts were easy to read and even easier to see on her face as Hela and Selene started to tease her about it.
When docking preparations were finished we started to exit my capital ship. Immediately we were met by Guilliman who was escorted by a large mechanical monstrosity of untold proportions. Flesh was replaced with machine and metal, mechanical arms extending jaggedly from 'his?' back as its eyes just gazed at me in pure intrigue.
"Leader Emelia, this is Arch Magos Belisarius Cawl, of the Adeptus Mechanicus."
My gaze moved to the monstrosity that was the so called 'pinnacle' of Imperium technology. I nodded my head, hiding my true feelings as my women just tried to focus on something else other than him, their gazes scanning the massive dockyards that rivalled our own Fortress Ascendant's.
"Are you Emelia?"
"You can just call me Emelia Prime, I am a Primordial after all." The view scope of his 'eyes' zoomed in at the unfamiliar term but he still acted like he understood.
"Ah, Emelia Prime, very efficient. Good. Would you be willing to allow me and my entourage into your vessel?"
"No. By an agreement made between me and the current Leader of the Imperium our technology may not be shared or looked into. It is unfortunate that you cannot work with us on technological matters but until I am sure of our alliance and more specifically my Empire's position I cannot allow that."
Guilliman looked on in mild interest, my manner in dealing with the Adeptus Mechanicus bringing some doubt to his mind, I could tell he had some minor difficulties understanding them fully.
"A matter for another time then. Good, conversing with you is more efficient and less emotional then most other Humans."
"I feel no particular emotion or satisfaction in speaking with you but it is necessary and for the good of my people, so i must."
Emotions, although stunted, floated from the Magos's mind as deep respect and happiness floated through him. He had apparently met someone who could understand fully what it meant to be emotionless. Guilliman was hesitant to step in but did anyway as he stepped in front of the Magos.
"I Will escort you to the place from which you can place the 'Star Gate'... I will warn you, if you try anything...-"
"I understand perfectly. I will supposedly be killed before I could even make it to the Throne Room. Not that you could, but I am here for talks anyway."
His brows furrowed as he stepped to the side, ushering me onwards.
"Very well then. On we go then. Magos are you following?"
"Indeed, tool, I shall follow."
Guilliman scowled at the Magos for that quip, the Magos not giving a fuck and moving onwards as my wives just looked on at the two men in mild confusion and laughter. Shaking my head I followed Cawl who looked as if he had fully downloaded schematics for the entire Luna facility. We were going to take a shuttle down to the surface...
