If one were to look at the current Solar System that Redna resided within they would find an unsettling scene playing out. In the darkest recesses of space an eldritch and biological fleet flooded into the pallid light of the sun. Large tendrils and tentacles whipping and clashing as they propelled the 'vessels' forwards through some chthonian method.
Opposite of this massive fleet were ten large craft of the Veritas Imperium, their black and white colouring shining like a beacon amidst the deepest darkness of space. Shields began to be projected by these ten vessels as the lights that were previously very bright now became sundering as a massive Void Shield and conventional energy shield apparated over the entire fleet. Along with this power display came a large amount of slowly sheering segments of the ships, nano-technology at display as fighters were made instantly and could be controlled from within the ships. The previously 10 ships were now accompanied by hundreds of Arrow-head shaped fighters that slowly rotated around the fleet, like a swarm of bees.
Amidst this preparation before the storm, a woman stood in the middle of space. Her eyes were glowing pure white and black as her twelve sets of wings lightly flapped behind her back. Horns of a true dragon and the Void Dragon arched upwards from her head, combining into a truly intimidating draconic crown. Her form was completed covered in black and white robes as her fingers came to points, dark blue light covering her body in spectral armour. In her right hand was a long white katana, golden lights slipping off the blade before disappearing.
"Tokiyūjin no Enkan... A fitting name." The entity, Emelia, spoke out into space, her voice carrying through space without the need of atmosphere. Her eyes drifted forwards to the oncoming swarm and specifically the massive bestial form of the Hive Mind that could clearly be seen by her psychic immensity and Primordial senses.
"Time to make my display of power to the Galaxy, i suppose..." Flexing her back and wings her own Psychic might was released, for every entity and being to see, much like the Tyranid Hive Mind. Unlike the Hive Mind however, her aura was billowing out in profound auroras and golden spectrums. Her aura's form came with an amalgam of elements that made her power, the crimson blood of Vampirism mixing with the Celestial white of Holiness as Fire billowed around both sides, green lightning crackling over the body of the aura. Horns of purplish-blue energy created a wreathe of royalty as her aura's eyes were pitch white and black. Yellow threads dangling around the 'body' of her aura.
(Emelia's Perspective)
The Hive Mind reacted violently as it was not used to being challenged as such. A bright purple and white haze began to spread from the Hive Fleet as the ships increased speed. Almost in reaction my fleet began to move forwards, its fighters now setting up in an attack formation.
I could feel the palpitating strength of the Hive Mind, it was noxious, dangerous and ultimately had me worried about my odds... As far as I could see, I was an equal match to this amalgam of minds. A screech of sheer anger and hunger sundered through space, the sound psychically projected to me as I noticed the eyes of the Hive trained on me. All around us I could feel the gazes of entities, peoples and beings, it seemed as though were were in a gladiatorial ring and the other 'people' were sitting on the sidelines watching for their amusement. My power fluttered at the thought as my sins and virtues began to churn ever higher, the threatening presence of the Hive making them all the more hungry to devour, to steal, to decimate, to send it off to its final rest... And ultimately Indifference, this entity was powerful, sure, but it was not like me. It did not have anything on me, it was not superior, it was inferior, thus it is not worth my worry. The sensation of all of these emotions flaring caused me eyes to swirl quicker as my psychic might clustered within my psyche.
"Flee now, fowl entity from deep space, or know pain." My words vibrated across the skein, across the very fabric of space, as much as it could, before reaching the Hive Mind opposite me. My words seemed to enrage it further, its powers flaring and causing mild shockwaves to emanate outwards in front of its fleet. On the tip of my vision I saw a large golden figure, its, his eyes, his eyes staring at me in utter concentration. The skein was reacting faster than most could even comprehend as what I was doing here would ultimately affect many, many things.
No response came from the Hive, other than an increase in pace and the formation of another bestial form within its aura. 'Question is, do I pull half of my fleets into this?' I tracked the fleet of the Hive and watched as hundreds upon hundreds of ships swirled and slithered forwards in space. 'Fuck it, If I am going to fight... May as well make it fair.'
Raising my hands I used my system's Multiversal Travel to pull the majority of the manned fleets from my home planet and dropped them into space around my original fleet of ten. Now in the space above the planet was a force of two hundred ships, all of them immediately reaching out to each other. I sent a small psychic message to all of the captains and watched as they all began to unite into a singular formation. Thousands of fighters now swarmed around the fleet as the Void Shielding and conventional energy shielding stacked.
`I will not be able to help you in this battle... You must destroy the Tyranid fleet! Send some Marines down to the sister of battle squad on the planet, if we are to win, we must annihilate all of the Tyranids.` Sending off my last message to Admiral Bano I re-focussed on my enemy, its aura changing into pure malice and hunger.
"Very well. You shall now face the consequences of facing a Primordial Being." In an instant I yelled out. "BANKAI!" My white Katana glowed immensely as its form began to change from pure white to a vacuous black. The aura around me shifted as it became synonymous with Yin and Yang, the very space around me seemingly melting as the 'liveliness' it had shown was on full display. Taking my new Bankai I raised the katana above my head before slashing downwards, using a fair amount of psychic might in the strike. Rippling waves of space followed the pinkish energy slash of my Bankai as golden particles slipped from the cracks made in space.
In an instant the strike landed and cause a massive shriek to emerge from the Hive Mind. The strike did very little however as the mass of power leapt forwards within space, coming to try and consume me, soul and mind. With a massive flex of my wings I hissed as my power flexed and struck out at the miasmic form of the Hive Mind. Several cracks followed as space was resisting our attempts to use it within the battle. The creature bit into my right shoulder as I sunk my fingers into its 'flesh'.

(The Space Battle)
Veritas Imperium ships were the first to fire, using their range and speed to their advantage as massive beams of Graviton energy and exotic particles bathed the Tyranid fleet. Gravity crashed ships into each other as the particles bathed the entire fleet in deadly Omega Particles. One would assume that this advantage would last, but unfortunately the Tyranids were not an easy adversary, even at the best of times.
In moments the fleet began to adapt as their speed picked up, the synapse creatures within the fleets directing the evolution of the vessels towards speed. Sound could not be heard in space but the sheer sight of seeing explosions disintegrate asteroids and ships brought pause to those on the planet as very quickly the two fleets entered into a deadly 'melee'. Several ships of the Tyranids had already been purged of all Biomass and some of the smaller ships of the Veritas Imperium had been splintered through by the stray shots of Capillaries from the Tyranid vessels.
Men and women had already died and it was mere minutes into the fight. In melee the fighter began to crash into the Tyranid vessels, the nanites beginning to consume the Biomass and convert it into electricity to power its feeding. Entire Tyranid vessels were being eaten from the inside out as several of them crumpled into dead clumps of gooey flesh. Acid sprayed from the Tyranid ships and was mostly nullified, the parts of it that did work causing massive damage to the hulls and systems of the Veritas Imperium ships.
The larger vessels of both armadas started t engage each other as the Justice powered up its Nova Canon, the Planet Cracker. Sensing danger one of the larger Tyranid Vessels tried to flee but was then locked into place as Nanites ate into the biological engines. In less than ten seconds the vessel was incinerated from existence. In retaliation a larger Tyranid vessel rammed into one of the capital vessels causing massive damage and creating areas that Tyranids could enter through. The fighting spread within the ship as Sentinels, Marines and Crew picked up arms and fought the horrors that were Tyranids.
Smaller Veritas Vessels began to beam support into the main ship as they launched their fighter directly into the larger vessels, attempting to verse the Tyranids with swarm tactics also. The Tyranids began to adapt, but not before Emelia tore off a 'limb' of the Hive Mind, her own condition just as grim as her horns were cracked and one of her arms were broken. The reactivity of the Tyranid fleet slowed and they could not evolve fast enough as their fleet became misguided, the combat starting to become easier for her people. This didn't last long however as the numerous Synapse creatures left began to take local control and direct their forces.
A massive explosion rocked the entire battlefield as one of the Capital vessels of the Veritas Imperium self-destructed in an effort to take down a Tyranid Capital vessel. The combat was bloody and stark, no safety, no take-backsies... This was war!

(The Surface)
Emerging onto the Planet two corps of the Veritas Imperium Marines instantly began to establish safety zones, saving imperial citizens and aiding the Imperial Guard. The bloodshed was intense as the marines used the limited Sentinels at their command to establish resistance against the Viragons, Haruspex, Carnifex and various infected humans.
Beams of irradiated plasma cut through armoured hide and chitin as the repugnant wails and screams of Tyranids created a din of combat. Rail Gun rounds blitzed into the various humungous targets as las fire and bolter rounds joined the fray. Basilisk rounds rumbled the crust of the planet beneath their feet as the shaking of dirt from tank tracks caused buildings to collapse and crack. Cries of pain were unleashed as lictors stabbed into Imperial Guard, drenching the ground in their blood. Seconds later these Lictors were obliterated by sentinels as several of them stood forwards and ripped them in half.
The whistling of spines and shards of biological weaponry sounded as it slammed into the Sentinels only to slide off, ineffectively. The Sentinels turned and began to shoot their plasma beams outwards into the Gargoyles and various other swarming monsters as below them the High Humans were slicing, shooting and dicing enemies with extreme prejudice. Several High Humans had already died, their bodies decorating the blood drenched grounds of this blasted planet. Ships crashed from the sky as an entire Veritas Imperium Ship fell from space into the atmosphere of the planet, only to explode in mere seconds through its fall. Black dust moved around it as the emergency functions of said vessel activated, sending its crew to another vessel in the fleet... One of the lucky instances amongst the chaos that was this battle.
Amidst the lethality of the Marines came the devoutness of the Imperial Guard and Sisters of Battle. Golden light started to emerge on the Sisters as their every round caused fire to spurt over the Tyranids and bathe the entire body of the monster in glorious golden globules that then burned intensely. Cries of faith and pain merged into a litany of faith as calls for the Emperor of Mankind resounded throughout the world, their wishes being seen directly as he sat within the warp, watching this spectacle before him.
