My fleet was orbiting this massive gas giant, its dark browns and yellows creating an earthy-colour to lightly radiate outwards as the Dwarf Star's light reflected off of its surface.
We had sat here for a few minutes, reports and various alerts running through the ships as the anti-warp technology came online and dulled out the ever-present madness that could even be felt in real space. My mind became easy with the understanding that no one would go insane or become possessed, High Humans being a magical evolution of Humans making for an interesting situation within Warhammer 40k. The basic constructs around the ship were unaffected and still mulling about their tasks as the crew breathed in and exhaled in a collective sigh of relief.
Smiling, I quickly began to relay orders and commanded three vessels to move around the orbit of the Gas giant and get scans in the opposing direction to the one we had scanned. Macragge was several hundred light years away from our location and currently we were in what the Imperium would consider, wild space. Rogue Traders and other factions permeated outside of the Imperium and this was definitely an area where this could happen. Interactions with the Imperium would be better to be created through a faction they at least knew, The Rogue Traders. They were necessarily a 'faction' but more of a group of people that are captains, treasure hunters, diplomats, mercenaries and numerous other professions... Think of them like Pirate crews but with a more 'official' place amongst the Imperium's ranks.
Bleeps transmitted through my console as I got reports from the three vessels, they had found nothing of import except for a few small communications between Alien nations. The Alien nations were insignificant and were not any of the major players in the galaxy. Ordering them back I quickly began to connect to my power, attempting to momentarily halt time. As soon as I tried the ship's lights flickered as reality resisted me, something interfering with my connection. In moments I felt a disgusting layer of thoughts and malignant emotions try and poke into my mind. The feeling was white hot and almost made me yell in pain, before the pain could continue I cut the intention of fucking with time.
Time was apparently much harder to grasp here. Unlike in Marvel or other multiverses it was alive, like and eel hunting prey that dare get too close. In fact, most of the powers or concepts in this multiverse seemed to be 'alive' in some sense of the word. This multiverse felt like it was the epitome of evolution and mutations. It was a wonder that Human's had survived so long amongst these conditions.
'Shit... That means that I can't snap any universes out of reality... No more shattering Multiverses, at least while I'm here.' Luckily I felt that my Multiversal travel was still able to be used, little good it did for me whilst staying here.
"Supreme Leader, we are picking up faint signs of a spatial anomaly gathering within the system. It is almost a 95% match of what is called a warp portal."
"Maintain caution, scan from a distance. If they contact us, put it on the main screen."
Yelling out their agreeance they continued on to make constant scans. Meanwhile, I started to toy with my more basic powers. Magic was still available but was pulled from the warp, the magic becoming tinted with my own aura. The magic itself was glowing white and black but shifted to purple every now and then. Psychic powers were definitely still accessible and in fact were some of the most free powers. My godly domains were still there but now linked to that shadowy purple mass just beyond the reach of reality. My primordial stats were still available and accessible... 'That's good, i am not totally powerless, Maybe i should invest some Shards into martial skills?'
"Supreme Leader, the vessels are badly damaged and there are signs of odd dimensional energies moving independently, as if they have bodies."
"All of the fleet is to move out and surround the vessels, order all Marine forces to prepare for imminent ship-to-ship boarding."
' "To all vessels within distance, be advised that we are Rogue Traders and that we request aid. " '
The voice of a male came through the audio systems of the fleet, the entire crew becoming serious and determined. The helmsman easily started to bring us forwards and set us in front of the imperial vessels. The entire ships was made of large angular metal hull plating and had a deep gothic architecture to them. Bright blue glows suffused the various stained glass panes in the centre of the ships, fire leaking from several of them as people slowly vented from said openings.
' "This is the V.I Arcadia, we have heard your call for aid and will soon aid you. " '
There was no response as a small explosion rocked where the main bridge would be, blood, viscera and fire pouring out from the shattered bridge section.
'Well, shit...'

Hope you enjoyed! Please let me know of anything from Warhammer you would like to see, I may or may not add it... Also, I do not own Warhammer 40k or Warhammer, I only own the characters that I have personally made. Second of all, I do not claim to have 100% knowledge of Warhammer 40k law, if I get things wrong please understand that this is a fan fiction and that it is possibly an AU... Thank you all once again.
