Stepping into the hologram room I saw a massive image of the Saltine himself, his glowy red and yellow eyes framed by a ball sack of a face. I grimaced at his visage as the soldier that had brought us to this room suddenly keeled over in pain and died.
"Temperamento, mi capitán"
No one understood my reference but that didn't matter as i moved towards the centre of the room, the Emperor's powers trying to kill me and Leia constantly, to no avail though. He looked pissed off and frustrated, felt like it too.
"Greetings oh glorious aged care recipient... It is finally nice to meet the ball sack that runs this galaxy. May i call you Ballpatine?"
"Your humour, is unamusing... Who am i speaking to? Where is lord, Vader?"
"Anakin is currently reuniting with his actual master and is also about to meet his son."
His face scrunched into a wrinkly ball sack of hatred and derision as his eyes flared bright red and yellow. His robes slightly moved as he reached out a hand towards me, in an attempt to martial his powers against my own. It naturally failed but the attempt was a good one.
Leia looked at him in scorn and revulsion, a face that very much resembled my own submerged feelings about the man in front of me... In every definition of the word, he was repulsive. I raised my hand again and watched as he was lifted into the air behind his projector, choking noises slowly drenching the voice projector.
"U-ug-h, l...e...t, m...e, d...o...w...n!" He struggled to get out his words as his face turned bright red, like a ball sack left out too long in the sun. His eyes were becoming apoplectic and seemed likely to burst at any moment as he began to incrementally transform from red to purple. I didn't let go as I watched him squirm, his facial expressions were amusing to me and honestly cathartic for Leia. Ultimately we both spent the last moments of his life enjoying the view pretty much. Until, eventually, with a pop, his neck broke and his eyes emerged from his skull as blood seeped from every orifice on his face. Honestly it was very anti-climactic.
With that finished i turned to Leia.
"Want to see your brother now?"
She just nodded slightly, her face flushed when she saw me look at her with a smile. 'Another one bites the dust!' I was all happy and smiley as we walked in the direction of Obi Wan and Luke. I could already tell Anakin was feeling better after revealing his emotions to Obi Wan.
...
(From Obi Wan's perspective)
I had turned away from my sequestered life on Tatooine as the boy I was given ward over had fancied himself a saviour and had gotten himself in a spot of trouble due to R2, my past apprentice's astro droid. I could not help but feel at the time that I had failed in some small part in not hiding myself but I had felt that it was right to show him his destiny. Talking to him I could not bring myself to tell him of his father's folly and the true decent he made to the dark side, so I had lied...
Now I found myself going to aid Leia again, her propensity to get caught in sticky situations apparently a family trait shared from Anakin. We had come to save her from her capture and hand over the plans she had looked to save. Just before we got to Alderaan however I felt a massive disturbance in the force, as if billions of voices all cried out before disappearing... I felt weakened by the sensation and this was only further intensified by the subsequent debris of the planet and its orbiting planet. Luke was confused whilst Han was disturbed by the lack of the planet.
We had measured our surroundings for several minutes when i felt a small force quake coming from a certain direction in space. Turning towards that location i saw a construct of unimaginable size.
"Is that a moon?"
"That is no moon Luke, that is a battle station."
Shock sundered through the expressions of the young men that surrounded me as I felt a force signature i had not felt in a long time. 'Anakin...' Throwing concerns to the wind Han quickly began to try and flee but was stopped as a massive tractor beam locked onto the ship and started to pull us towards one of the hangars of the battle station.
The young men quickly devised a way to hide from the storm troopers, hiding us under the vents in the floors, specifically within a smuggler's hideout within the ship. Minutes passed in quiet waiting and contemplation on my part as I felt the force signature of Anakin, it was different, it reminded me of his signature before order 66. I snapped myself out of my own exploration of thoughts when the sound of a couple storm troopers hitting the ground resounded from above, Luke and Han quietly putting on the equipment to pass as storm troopers. A bold plan no doubt but easily seen through if they are stopped by officers. I lightly shook my head at their quickness and rashness but followed after them slowly.
Luke and Han came up with a plan to save the princess whilst i deactivated the tractor beam so we could make our escape, well, this plan would have started if it was not for the high tensions of the security staff and the thorough checking of all identification cards of Storm Troopers. I was starting to suspect something unique and odd had happened, a form of sense that I had gained after my many battle in the clone wars and time spent with Anakin himself. This was further shown when I felt his presence getting closer and closer. I was expecting a wrathful force of hatred and pain after our battle in the past but it seemed he was the old Anakin again, if a bit depressed and saddened. I felt a small signature from somewhere else on this ship but I put that down to Leia's talent with the force.
"Luke, whatever happens within the next few minutes, do not engage with who I am about to meet. Am i clear?"
"Ben? What is wrong?"
I stood and lightly exited our cubby hole, the sensation of Anakin's force signature bringing back painful memories on Mustafar. Several images and words flashed before my eyes, I had to follow a Jedi teaching to slowly calm my mind down and ready myself for his appearance. My heart was calm and steady as the storm troopers around me turned in my direction, their weapons raising into the air, reminding me of that time when my own soldiers turned on me when I went to slay Grievous.
That was when it happened. Stepping out from the nearby hall was a tall six foot tall robotic figure, glowing buttons on the front and a hard leathery black fabric covering many of the usually exposed bits on a human's body. I steeled myself for another confrontation, my worries starting to slightly crack through the best of my defences as I realised that I had brought the only person that could stop the Empire directly into 'Vader's' grasp.
'I am one with the Force.'
