The meeting was rather uneventful with Danea mainly thanking me for my actions and asking for some aid from The Veritas Imperium with regards to protection against slave traders, at least until they could make a fleet of their own. I had agreed and stationed the fleet I had taken here to the planet for the foreseeable future. I decided to drop a city-ship here and connect a web-way gate to Atlantis.
After the protection treaty was arranged we were left to speak about possible avenues for trade, migration, immigration, etc... The meeting was a long one and eventually we came up with a pact of sorts that would make trade possible through a specific teleportation hub centred in their capital city and showing up within Canberra Australia on Terra. I wanted to decentralise the power of the planet so that If in future Atlantis were to be destroyed Humanity would still have some infrastructure and power. Unlikely as it may have been it was better to plan for the worst.
From there we spent some time have talks and chats, speaking about Twi'lek culture and the culture of Humans on Terra. One of the biggest topics we were speaking about was the movie industry and the gaming industry. The Twi'leks had normal things like gambling and sports but had not heard of video games or movies, the concept being foreign she asked me what it was all about. This lead to me introducing her to a movie called 2012, we watched a little bit of it and she was intrigued and sucked right into the story.
I could feel the monetary opportunity with this so I quickly said that we could create TVs and sell them on Ryloth for Credits. This naturally lead onto a discussion about the planet's infrastructure and industries, which were almost completely nothing. Ryloth really did survive off of slave trade. I ignored the issues however and had a plan to slowly introduce proper education, infrastructure, culture and development to Ryloth, connecting them to my Empire intrinsically... With a year or two they would become so infatuated with our technology, industry, education and people that they will basically be citizens of The Veritas Imperium. This was the way the Romans conquered people, for the most part, you show them a better standard of living a large and diverse culture that is accepting then you start to educate them the same way you would one of your people and then bam! You have yourself another 'Roman' territory, or in this case another territory of The Veritas Imperium.
...
Several hours later the talks finished and I handed over command of the defence network to Captain Romanov, yes, Natasha had become a part of my military. Funnily enough she was happy to have the post and was actually looking forward to dealing with the slave traders that came. I had just shook my head and disconnected the call when I was finished. I then went and committed to my plans by dropping a city-ship onto the ocean and placing a Web-way to the city, allowing people to travel to Ryloth's City-ship. Once that was finished I quickly teleported back to Terra where I grabbed another member of staff and told them to assemble the world council for a small meeting without me, to select a new governor/manager for the city-ship on Ryloth. The staff member was a bit blown away but quickly sprinted off, her face flushing bright red... I really had to remember to turn off my charisma.
Following that I quickly began to summon another 100 battleships to come with me to the Halo Multiverse. It was a choice I made to show the UNSC that I wasn't weak and that my faction was to be taken seriously. I mean the Ori were scarier than the UNSC and we crushed them without any casualties, so they would not pose a danger, but it was better to err on the side of caution whilst making a statement.
The Military was a little lambasted by my rampant requests as just several hours earlier I had taken a decent force with me to Ryloth and now I was taking some of our forces to another Multiverse. Luckily Kali had stepped in somewhat and managed things as she quickly straightened out the stupidity of the higher up by basically threatening to fire them if they did not grow some balls. God i loved her.
Anyway, half an hour later another 100 ships were prepared and I smiled. I joined the ships, taking the leadership of the lead ship, the Divinity. As all 100 Ships were preparing for departure I slowly closed my eyes, opening them moments later as the entire fleet was now suddenly in another multiverse with different spatial coordinates. The crew was calm and collected as they had run drills in VR with this exact same setting, something i had added to make it less awkward when it was done in real life.
We were now hovering in space near to Earth, 100 ships of the UNSC splayed out and around the planet as several spatial platforms hovered high in the atmosphere. Communications started to go crazy as all of the UNSC ships started to turn in our direction their armaments going live.
"Unidentified Ships, please identify yourselves!" A scratchy voice came through the comm system, our ships being so advanced that their communications seemed rudimentary at best.
"This is Emelia Lionheart, leader of The Veritas Imperium, please relay my arrival to Fleet Admiral Terrence Hood." There was silence as the comms shut off, no moves were made and we hung in dead space for several minutes in a stand-off. I was getting quite bored of waiting for other people at this moment. Just as i was about to intrude on their command building we received a communication from one of the larger ships that told us that we were free to send a delegation down to Earth.
Confirming the conditions I quickly called up Alpha and his squad to be my guards and also called upon Mystique who had recently joined the military as a liaison for the Mutant community. It wasn't needed but was apparently something that the Mutants wished to do to maintain peaceful ties with humans and to ensure their use to society. To be honest it was a completely unnecessary action but most mutants seemed to be overly dramatic, ideological and traumatised, so if it made them more comfortable, then why not?
We walked through the ship until we reached a small hanger bay where a transport ship was held. It was fully prepped and ready with the deck crew making final checks as we entered the ship.
Ten minutes later we stepped onto this universe's Earth, Spartans and Marines surrounding the ship for security reasons as Fleet Admiral Terrence Hood awaited us with Master Chief standing by his side.
'Hmmm maybe I should make a Halo TV show... Get Henry Cavill to play Master Chief and make sure he wears his fucking helmet. It could work really well and inform people about the multiverse we were interacting with. Good Idea me!'
We stepped forwards in confidence as the admiral stepped forward also, his face much more surreal in real life.
