"So Emelia Dear, what do you do for a living?" We were all now sitting down at the kitchen table, a cup of hot coffee steaming in front of each of us.
"Ah, I suppose you could call me a consultant for the president of the United States..." There was a small gasp from both of them as they then started to excitedly inquire.
"What do you do? That's a very important job!"
"My daughter naturally knows how to pick a partner! Congratulations my little butterfly!"
Illyana became more and more shy and flushed as her father layered compliments on her. I happily smiled as i took my cup of coffee and drank from it deeply. The warmth of the liquid was soothing but the bitterness soon overpowered that sensation as my tongue started to lick the corners of my mouth to get rid of the acrid taste. Coffee wasn't for me i found.
"I am a consultant for the President pertaining to Mutants."
They became quiet as they looked at me with worry, not knowing how we got here or that i knew about their daughters' powers.
"O-oh i see... T-then, what does that entail?" I almost broke my calm as i saw them flounder at the revelation, my laugh being barely held in. Illyana looked at me with a small triumphant grin that started to slowly make her parents believe that they had made an assumption.
"Well, you see, I rescued the mutants at Xavier's School from an illegal black operation by a part of the government. Following that i met with the president in the Oval Office and quickly negotiated an agreement that ultimately led to the freedom and equal rights of all mutants." Their jaws dropped at my story as they looked at Illyana moments after to confirm. She merely nodded in response to their questioning and stunned gazes.
"T-that is crazy... It seems that my daughter's partner is some sort of hero."
"No, that was Illyana, she's my hero. Always will be..." I looked at Illyana who looked at me with sad puppy dog eyes as she was getting emotional from my words. Paul and Alexandria merely smiled sweetly as they hugged each other a bit.
After this the talk devolved into minute discussions about how i proposed and what Illyana's ring looks like. The ring stunned Alexandria and Paul, causing Alexandria to look at Paul with a slight amount of dissatisfaction. Feeling awkward for that interactions I decided to help Paul out with the ring.
Finally, after several hours of talking about small topics and getting to know each other deeper me and Illyana finally decided to head off. Before i left i took Paul aside with the excuse that I was assuring him of my devotion to Illyana.
"What did you want to speak to me about?"
"Here, have this ring... After a month or two, give it to Alexandra as a replacement ring for the original and say that it is you recommitting yourself to the oath of your marriage again." He looked flabbergasted and momentarily looked at Alexandra, who was currently speak to Illyana; facing he opposite direction.
"Thank you daughter-in-law, i will use this wisely..." He gave me a decently tight hug, his eyes wet with excitement at the prospect of exciting his wife and the sympathy that had been shown to him.
"If you ever need help from a little old farmer, please feel free to come at any point and I'll help out." I smiled at his genuine words of gratitude. Feeling a deepening connection between me and him, almost akin to friendship, I took out two of the dozens of Apples of Idun.
"Here, take these, eat them after we leave... Enjoy yourselves some more... Remember eat them after we leave! I want Illyana to be surprised when she meets you both next." He too nodded his head and we started laughing a little amongst ourselves.
Soon after both groups merged back together and a very happy goodbye was done. We didn't confirm when the wedding would take place but guaranteed that they'd be among the first to know. Then, with tears in our eyes, we departed back to Xavier's Mansion.

(Paul's Perspective after they had settled down)
I looked at the two apples the young lass had handed me. They were both a gold colour with small specks of red gleaming through along the stem of the apple. Both apples looked appetising, the lass had said to eat them so i thought, 'Why not?'. I took the other apple and handed it to Alexandra who looked at me skeptically.
"What are these? Who are they from?" Her voice was quickly becoming her usual mix of angered and frustrated.
"They are from our daughter's wife... She said for us to eat them when they leave, something about a surprise for Illyana." Her expression did a 180 as she very quickly deployed a smile on her face as she looked at the golden apple.
"Oh, if it is from her then why not..."
They both bit down on the golden apples before them, a sudden hunger beginning to gain hold of them as they quickly scoffed the golden apples. Both of their bodies began to shine and feel rejuvenated as they sat on the couch, slowly settling into sleep.

(Emelia's Perspective)
Me and Illyana had just arrived, our position within the cafeteria as we noticed a bored and saddened Jean sitting at one of the tables completely dejected. 'Fuck... She waited all this time...'
"Jean! We're back!" Illyana was the one to call out. Jean instantly looked up at the both of us, and i watched as the previously depressed mood of the beautifully shy and youthful woman vanish as an excited and cheerful mood replaced it.
"Emelia! Illyana! I've been waiting... I thought you had abandoned me for a few moments there." I flicked her in the head shortly after; softly.

She blushed deeply as she remembered, having to shake her head and run up and give me a hug to hide her shame and embarrassment. 'She's always the same... Maybe i just like a girl with the same type, Illyana is the same most of the time.'
"Silly thoughts lead to nothing but pain... Now, i have something i want both of you to come see and I have special outfits for you to be able to survive the journey."
They cocked their heads to the side at the same time before looking at each other and shrugging their shoulders. 'They're already starting to get a sister-like connection... That's going to be fun.'
