Chapter 14 - Chapter 14 Marine Who Upholds Absolute Justice

What is a "Yandere"?

It refers to the kind of individual who could express love for their significant other one moment, only to contemplate harming their significant other in the next. Even Marine generals like Momousagi, known for their fervent commitment to absolute justice, can be likened to this—albeit briefly.

Ron pictured a gathering of these zealous Marine hawk generals, envisioning Akainu delivering an impassioned speech, rallying them to cleanse the seas of pirates and restore normalcy. The audience of Marines was stirred, as if a seed of conviction had been planted within them, gradually taking root until it blossomed into a blood-red Bana flower.

Despite the serious tone, Gion, the seemingly flirtatious and lethal flower among them, disclosed Sengoku's request for Ron to join the Marine. However, her nonchalant attitude suggested that his refusal wouldn't bother her much.

To Ron's surprise, Gion'e approach differed from the expected stalking and coercion tactics. It appeared she was handling the situation casually, prompting Ron to reconsider viewing her through conventional eyes. After all, dealing with a fervent and unpredictable people like her required a unique perspective, as she might make an unexpected move at any moment.

Time flowed by, with each passing minute and second.

Ron and Gion engaged in alternating conversation, exchanging words as a bottle of plum wine gradually emptied. As dusk approached, a golden hue seemed to blanket everything on Earth.

Gion, expressing gratitude for the hospitality, set down a pack of Berries and rose slowly. "Thank you for the story you shared last time," she said, revealing that Marine had deployed an additional 20,000 troops to capture Ace, with Admiral Akainu set to arrive the next day. With a parting smile, she left the tavern, her graceful silhouette disappearing from Ron's view.

Ron mused softly, questioning the validity of Gion's information. Was it a temptation or a genuine revelation? Before he could delve into his thoughts, the system interrupted with a notification.

[Ding, customer Gion: Momousagi finished talking.]

[Host options: Armament Haki, Momousagi's fighting instinct, Observation Haki...]

Ron faced a dilemma; he possessed all these abilities, rendering some choices redundant. "Can I give it to someone else?" he inquired.

The system responded, stating that Ron could convert repeated abilities into skill books and give them to others. "Choose Armament Haki, make it into a skill book, and put it in the warehouse," Ron decided.

[Ding, the transformation was successful!]

As the system's voice faded away, a red light ball silently materialized in the system warehouse. Ron touched it, contemplating patiently, "Let's wait for another ability and give them together."

As the boss, Ron maintained a commitment to treating everyone equally. Rem's voice echoed from the kitchen, announcing the readiness of dinner – grilled fish and roast leg of lamb. Ron eagerly rushed to the kitchen to assist.

Meanwhile, in the Naval Headquarters, inside the Fleet Admiral's office, Sengoku reviewed a report, noting that the issues raised by official were significant. He found the middle part of the problem to be commonplace, but the concluding part raised concerns about a substantial loophole. Tsuru Vice Admiral stood silently, acknowledging the assessment.

A series of knocks interrupted their discussion as Gion entered the room. Sengoku inquired about her meeting with Ron. Gion reported that Ron's stance remained unchanged, but she added a curious detail.

While sitting on the sofa, Giom revealed, "I saw something interesting today. Roger's saber is hanging on the wall of the tavern!" The revelation startled Sengoku and Tsuru Vice Admiral. Roger's blade thay had been missing for decades, and its sudden appearance in the tavern, especially during a time of heightened Marine activity, raised questions.

With Marine fervently pursuing Roger's descendants and Ron casually displaying Roger's blade, Sengoku and Tsuru Vice Admiral couldn't fathom Ron's intentions. The situation left them perplexed and concerned.

"If it is indeed Roger's blade, Ron's identity becomes even more elusive, and his previous refusal seems quite justified," Sengoku mused. He then asked Gion if she had subtly inquired about the blade.

"I didn't delve into the topic of the blade much," Gion replied, a subtle smile playing on her lips.

"It's just leaving a suspense before departing. When the mystery unfolds, we'll discover Ron's allegiance to either Rayleigh, Ace, or the Marines. Then, we can extend an invitation to Ron to join the Marines without any reservations."

...

Night descended, revealing a breathtaking galaxy in the sky. The salty sea breeze, accompanied by the rhythmic sound of waves, enveloped Ron, Rem, and Ram in an unprecedented tranquility.

Suddenly, the tavern doorbell jingled, and Ron turned to see who was entering.

Snapped!

Ron slapped his face, exclaiming, "Another eager follower."

Someone was approaching, but it was no longer accurate to call them a human—it was more like a sheep. A bronze-skinned, upright-walking Sheep, a character from the animated series "Xi Yang Yang and Big Big Wolf," stepped into the tavern. Known for his straightforwardness and bravery, the only downside was his excessive eagerness and unwavering sincerity.

At the sight of Sheep, Ron couldn't help but recall famous memes from before his time travel.

"Hello," Fray(Fèi Yángyáng = Boiling sheep) greeted politely as he walked into the tavern. "A voice guided me here. It mentioned that the grass juice here is delicious." He settled at the bar, glancing around. The peculiar environment and occasional gunshots outside seemed to make Fray slightly uneasy.

"Grass juice?" Rem and Ram wore puzzled expressions.

Ron sighed, explaining, "Just go outside, find some grass, and use a juicer to make it into a drink."
