Zeus' POV
How do I tell this nag that her most precious daughter is gonna have a rough life on earth and an even worse live if she remains here on Mount Olympus. I thought carefully and then finally spoke "I'm not hiding anything from you Rhamnusia". She looked at me scrutinizingly and spoke. "Alright, I will do as you wish as long as my daughters get to live peacefully, and I get to punish greedy and unjust mortals". "Plus, I won't hear your nagging, grumpy voice every day". She added in a mocking tone
"Sometimes I think I would've been better off with a rock instead of you. At least the rock wouldn't give me a headache". I said feeling satisfied seeing the frown on her face. "How are the girls?" I ask, trying to lighten the situation.
"The girls are doing very well, they're growing quickly in strength, wisdom, beauty, and their godly powers". She responded, gleaming with pride on the progress of her daughters. Rhamnusia and her daughters are loved dearly by most of the gods on Mount Olympus, but she cannot remain here, at least not till this entire thing blows over.
" You should go checkup on them, you know how their ringleader can be, always getting them into trouble". I said with a light laugh. "HEY! Don't about my Ices like that, she's a sweet little angel and is only a child". Just then there was a large crashing sound outside followed by a scream I recognized all too well. "You were saying?" I said with a raised eyebrow. She groaned and we both walked out of the room to see what the already known cause of the commotion was.
Hermes' POV
I could barely control my laughter looking at the mess Ices made. The old man's gonna be pissed. I thought with a smirk. "Mummy's gonna be upset, why must you always cause trouble Ices" said Codel, Ices' younger sister. "Stop being a downer Codie, it's just a little bit of fun" Ices retorted, laughing at the stern expression on her sisters face while her other two sisters remained silent.
"My name is CODEL! Not Codie, I hate it when you call me that" Codel yelled, looking like she would pounce on Ices if someone didn't calm her down. "All right now girls, no need to get worked up over something so trivial" I said calmly, stepping in between them.
"It's not right uncle Hermes, Ices always causes mischief, and it makes Grandpa angry and gives mummy a headache, sometimes it feels like I'm the older sister, not her" Codel said with obvious annoyance. These girls are a handful and now I have a headache. I said inwardly. "What is the meaning of all this commotion?!"
I turned around to where the voice came from. Great, just great. Old Zeusie just had to have heard the crash. Here comes the nagging. I said inwardly getting pissed but kept a straight face. Hello old man, Nemesis. I acknowledged their presence. "YOU!! I should've known that YOU would have something to do with this!" He yelled furiously. "Wow old man, TEN SECONDS, that's a new record". My sarcastic appraisal seemed to have offended him even more. "You two, knock it off right now. Herm, what happened exactly? You were supposed to be watching the girls and make sure they'd stay out of trouble, especially Ices". Nemesis asked, whispering the last part about Ices loud enough for only me to hear. "It was just a little fun game of who "who can knock Old Zeusie's statue down" it's not a big deal" I said with a mischievous grin. I nearly burst out laughing seeing the old man's face. "IRRESPONIBLE! CARELESS! NEGLIGENT! FOOLISH! the list goes on". He thundered then continued "When are you going to change Hermes?!. Last week it was the fountain, the week before that was the garden, now MY STATUE!". Calm down old man, they're just harmless pranks". I said, rolling my eyes. "Okay, say for instance, they ARE harmless pranks, can you not use your bad influence on the girls? They're just kids and the LAST thing they need is someone who's could serve as a bad influence on them". He said with that nagging tone which I absolutely despise." Alright alright what do you want me to say then. Sorry?" I said sarcastically with a scoff then continued "I'd rather spend a week in the underworld" I said rolling my eyes. "Well since that's on the table then why-" I cut him off from completing the sentence "woah woah big guy that was just a joke" I responded quickly, shivering at the thought of being sent to the underworld. "Herm, apologize to the grumpy old man before he sends you to the dungeons or worse, the underworld". Nemesis said and I reluctantly agreed. "Fine! I'm sorry". I said in the most hesitant and reluctant tone ever. "Good". The old man said with a stupid grin. "Now girls, come on, we better head back to our room". Nemesis said to the girls, and they walked off and Zeus turned to me with a broom. "Better get to sweeping. He said with that same stupid grin. "And hurry up, the guard dogs will be released soon, and we both know they're not very fond of you" he said laughing and waking off. I so badly wanted to wipe that grin off his face. Sigh, I guess I better get to cleaning.
