"And his voice was so… quiet and thrilling…"
Rayne made a face, but Sasha looked like she was about to faint.
"And- and," Leah blinked, realizing herself what had really happened, "he asked about the scratch on the side of my cheek."
There was a pause and the cousins stared at her dumbfounded.
Sasha's jaw was severely slack, and her grip was no longer powerful.
"Wh-" Rayne was the first one to recover from the anticlimactic ending, "What?"
Leah blinked up at her cousins, "M-my scratch. You know… the one Sasha's nail made on my face accidentally?"
The two stared at her blankly.
"That man who came that close to your face as though he was going to kiss you," Sasha's brows were arched all the way up, "Actually touched your cheek to ask about that scratch?"
Leah laughed nervously, realizing it had been quite anti-climatic.
"I guess it's not as romantic as you guys may have thought but… well…"
