In the silence of the room, an aura of sorrow and loss surrounded the teenagers as they stared at the body in front of them. They had fed him the bottle, but instead of healing, the little heartbeat they detected was no more. He was truly gone this time. Sophia and his close friends cried silently while the others were also gloomy. The fact was, everybody liked Liam, as he was the most easy-going and gentle one of them.
"There is another problem, guys." Heidi broke the silence as she said with a nonchalant expression, "Phil and Isabelle, they are gone. I think Lorzark is responsible for it; he must also be responsible for locking you guys in your dreams." Sophia had explained everything that happened to her, and she was still shaken by the news of Lorzark. She was the only one who knew the condition she left him; if he hadn't died from blood loss, he should have died from the excruciating pain of having his penis sliced off.
"He must have taken Phil because of the beating he gave him, and he must have taken Isabelle because of the unfinished business he has with her." Leo explained to the group as he turned to Heidi, "If what I'm saying is true, then you are the next person on his to-kill list."
Standing up, Heidi took a shovel beside the wadrobe. As she walked towards the sleeping Ethan, everybody sprung to their feet as they glared at Heidi with shock in their eyes. They thought he was going to kill him, but she did a different thing when she reached Ethan. Kicking his spine aggressively and jolting him awake, she spoke resentfully. "You killed Liam, almost raped Sophia, and you think you can just sleep." She threw the shovel in his hand and said one word: "Start digging."
Standing before the others, her delicate eyes met with the shivering and scared eyes of others except Leo, who looked at her back without a change in expression. "We have to divide ourselves into two groups; one group will go after Lorzark to rescue Isabelle and the rest, while the other group will stay here and bury Liam."
Initially, they were twelve, but with the deaths of Zaid and Liam and the disappearance of Phil and Isabelle, only eight of them were left; Heidi, Leo, Ethan, Moris, Tilly, Sophia, Eliza, and Eloise were all that were left of them at the moment. Sophia, Ethan, and Eloise volunteered to bury Liam as the remaining five decided to go after Isabelle and Phil.
"Look around the house, guys, take any weapon you find suitable, and meet back outside in five minutes."
They quickly toured the house, picking up the weapons they were comfortable with, and they met outside after the five-minute mark. Heidi, in her own case, was holding a twin sai, and Tilly had a bow hung around her. Heidi remembered learning them since she was small. If not for the event leading her, she was supposed to be preparing for her archery school entrance exam.
Stepping out, Moris held an iron club in his hand. The weight was perfect for his size, and besides, he was the strongest of them, so it was logical that he used it efficiently.
Tilly had a whip, while Eliza was holding a twin katana blade. "Everybody is here; let's go."
Moris led the group as he was a better tracker than the rest of them, throughout the journey a feeling of unease weigh down on his shoulders. Tracking Lorzark was too easy, it was almost as if he wanted to be found. Heidi, emerging behind could see the trouble in his eyes patted his shoulder, "He was carrying two people, there is no way he could cover his track."
