Problems have been rising ever since cellphones have been allowed to children. Some would say "no" ,some would say "yes",but entirely neither of them are right or wrong. They both have Advantages and Disadvantages.
One of the many advantages of having a phone would be the ablity to contact/call. In some scenarios phones are needed especially in emergencies. Phones can help them call for the authorities for help, examples would be a sick student/teacher,a fire,an earthquake,etc.
In some schools, teachers are now using pdf's or files for their activities and if a student does not have a cellphone they would not be able to do their activities and is more likely to fail their lesson. So if teachers get to use phone students also can. They can also use their phone for reasearching purposes in some classroom work,performance tasks, or group activities rather than using manila paper which can sometime be a waste of money. They can use their phones to make a powepoint and sharescreen it on to the classroom television.
Having a phone is a responsibility.
If you give your child a phone they can become more careful and responsible as a phone can be easily broken or stolen all the more reason for a child to be responsible. Being responsible is a hard task for learners that is to why having a phone can be a big lesson for them. If they lose their phone it is a lesson for them not to lose anything ever again and be more careful, but if they still have their phone then they have the capabilities of being a responsible and good person becoming a reason to trust them.
Having a phone is not only for their selves but also for your trust. As to become more responsible is to become trustworthy.
According to the statements shown,problems will always have a solution. Having a cellphone can help a learner one way or another. Trust, responsibility, wide area of knowledge these are examples of what having a phone can help your child. Now come on, help your child become more of a better learner!
