Chapter 43 - Phoenix? The Feng Dynasty?

Silver Wolf Territory!

Whoosh!

Whoosh!

With each previous breakthrough, Su Xiaobai's true Qi had surged like a roaring river, filling his reserves to the brim.

He soared from tree to tree, his movements swift and precise as he avoided the treacherous ground below, traversing the vast, ancient forest.

The forest stretched endlessly, engulfed in darkness, its mysteries hidden within the shadows of towering trees.

As Su Xiaobai raced through the night, the gentle murmur of water reached his ears.

"Water...?"

The thought of it stirred a deep longing within him.

Su Xiaobai had long craved a chance to cleanse himself.

The stench of blood clung to him, excluding a disgusting stench.

Numerous breakthroughs had left his body slick, yearning for the purity of flowing water.

As Su Xiaobai approached the source of the water, his steps became cautious, every sense on high alert.

The faint glow of moonlight filtered through the dense canopy, casting ethereal shadows on the forest floor.

As he neared the waterfall, the sound of cascading water grew louder, masking his approach.

Suddenly, his keen eyes caught a flicker of light—a small lantern resting on a rock near the waterfall's edge.

Its flame danced gently in the night breeze, casting a warm, inviting glow on the surroundings.

Yet, it wasn't the lantern that made Su Xiaobai pause—it was what lay beside it.

A magnificent stallion with a coat of flaming red stood nearby, its mane rippling like tongues of fire in the moonlight.

The beast snorted softly, steam rising from its nostrils, as if it too was forged from some ancient flame.

Beside the stallion, a few delicate garments were strewn across the ground, their silken fabric shimmering with the faintest hint of enchantment.

'The woman from Red flame fortress?'

Su Xiaobai's breath hitched as his gaze was drawn to the base of the waterfall.

There, through the mist and the soft veil of moonlight, he could make out the silhouette of a figure—a woman, bathing in the secluded pool.

Splash!

She dipped her head into the cascading water.

The droplets clung to her like sinful lovers, tracing the delicate curve of her neck before gliding downwards.

Each droplet traveled with deliberate slowness, as if savoring every inch of her flawless skin.

The water traced the hollow of her collarbone, pausing for a tantalizing moment before slipping between the soft, rounded swells of her majestic twin mountain peaks.

Her chest rose and fell in a languid rhythm, each breath sending ripples through the water around her, teasing the surface with the promise of what lay just beneath.

The droplets continued their journey, sliding over her abdomen, slender waist, where her skin shimmered with a slick sheen that begged to be touched.

They pooled briefly at the curve of her hips, where the lines of her body were both inviting and dangerous, a fucking masterpiece of temptation.

Her thighs, long and smooth, were half-submerged in the pool.

As the droplets reached her legs, they clung to the gap between her soft, and fleshy thighs, before finally dripping down to her ankles and disappearing into the water below.

Her hands, delicate yet strong, moved through the water with a fluid grace, caressing her own skin as she washed away the day's dirt.

The way she moved, the way her body responded to the water, was a damn symphony of seduction, and Su Xiaobai could feel every note of it thrumming through his veins.

Even the way her hair clung to her back, slick and wet, was enough to drive a man to madness.

It flowed down her spine like a river of darkness, the ends curling at the small of her back before blending with the water around her.

Every part of her was a masterpiece, from the way her lips parted slightly, to the soft, almost inaudible sighs she let out as the water cascaded over her.

She was a heroic goddess made flesh!

She was sin incarnate, every curve, every movement, designed to pull a man into her web, to make him forget the world and drown in her.

Su Xiaobai couldn't help but let out a bitter smile as he wrestled with the dangerous scene before him.

Every instinct screamed at him to turn away, but the rational part of his mind cut through the haze.

Motherfucker... Wake up before she turns you into a eunuch!

The thought jarred him back to reality, and he quickly shook off the temptation.

He couldn't even gauge her strength, and it was better not to provoke something—someone—powerful.

"Neighhh!"

Just as he decided to retreat — The red stallion pawed the ground, its fiery eyes locked onto Su Xiaobai as he cautiously approached.

Despite the beast's fierce appearance, it seemed less wary of him, almost as if it recognized that Su Xiaobai wasn't a threat.

Still, that didn't stop him from acting on his more pragmatic side.

He crouched down near the scattered clothes, his eyes scanning for anything of value.

'Its bad to steal,' he thought, a smirk tugging at his lips. 'But it was even worse to not steal!'

The old mantra ran through his mind as he rifled through the garments.

Her clothes, soft and delicate, still carried her sweet, slightly seductive fragrance, teasing him gently.

But beyond that intoxicating scent, there was nothing of practical value.

Su Xiaobai hesitated for a moment as his fingers brushed against a pair of black lace underwear, the material exquisite and nearly transparent.

A wicked thought crossed his mind, but he quickly banished it.

He was a man of virtue—or at least, that's what he liked to tell himself.

Of course, that virtue tended to exist only in the presence of those stronger than him.

Deciding he had pushed his luck far enough, he hurriedly bowed to the heavens, a quick prayer for forgiveness for even considering such sins, and turned to leave.

*Whoosh!*

He moved swiftly, his steps silent as he tried to slip away unnoticed.

But just as he was about to disappear into the shadows, a sound broke through the night.

Splash!

"Who is it?" a voice called out, sharp and enchanting.

Su Xiaobai's blood ran cold. He'd been discovered.

Bam!

As the words left her lips, a fierce sword intent sliced through the air like a viper's strike.

The water around her seemed to freeze momentarily under the pressure of her aura, the force of her intent powerful enough to split the very air.

Whoosh!

Fairy Lianhua moved with grace, instantly covering herself with a white silk cloth that clung to her still-wet form.

Even in the heat of battle, her every movement was laced with an almost unbearable seduction, her body a potent mix of lethal beauty and strength.

Who dares to spy on me?

She thought, her eyes narrowing into icy slits as she lunged forward, her sword slicing through the mist like a beam of moonlight.

But as she stepped forward to confront the intruder, her sharp gaze found nothing but the rustling leaves and the distant echo of his retreat.

Su Xiaobai was already long gone, having vanished into the night like a shadow.

"Gone so quickly…" she muttered, her voice low and dangerous, laced with both annoyance and grudging respect.

Her sword lowered slightly, though her guard remained up, senses keenly aware of any sign of lingering danger.

Yet, as she stood there, dripping water from her hastily donned cloth, a strange, unsettling chill ran down her spine, something more than just the remnants of her own sword intent.

It was a familiar sensation, one that tugged at the edges of her memory, drawing her back to a particular encounter.

'No... it couldn't be... that rascal from before?'

Her eyes flashed with recognition, a mixture of irritation and curiosity.

She recalled a similar feeling, that same goosebumps, from an earlier confrontation with a wily young man who had the audacity to stare at her.

"Could it have been him?" she wondered aloud, her voice softer now, almost thoughtful.

A faint, bitter smile curved her lips. "That little rat… is he stalking me?"

Fairy Lianhua's grip on her sword tightened as she scanned the darkness once more, searching for any sign of him.

But there was nothing, only the gentle murmur of the waterfall and the whispering wind that carried his scent away.

"Next time," she murmured, her voice filled with a quiet, lethal promise, "I won't let you escape so easily."

With one last lingering glance at the shadows, she turned back towards the pool.

She had underestimated him once, but it wouldn't happen again.

And the next time their paths crossed, Su Xiaobai would find out just how dangerous it was to cross Fairy Lianhua.
