From a city heavily defended by a giant wall and this is where little Gon Smith and his mother Maria smith live. Gon was getting beaten up in an alleywaynoiseis seniors from school. Gon saved the fat kid from getting stabbed and marked by knife. Gon was unable to defend himself because of its numbers. An officer stopped the fight immediately and the senior students started running away. Gon was treated at his school clinic. Putting ointment on his bruises and treating his wounds. Maria got to the school as quickly as possible to check on her son. The two walked home and talked about saving someone. Maria was nervous about what could've happened to Gon. She was proud and suggested to interfere and not report to the guard.
Gon said to his mother that he would grow up kind and strong to defend people. Maria stared at him with hopeful eyes and waited for Gon's dream to come true. 8:30 pm, after dinner, Maria was cleaning the table up. Gon was walking around the house and knocking on the wall. He suddenly hears the knock kind of off. It was thin and he got curious about what was behind it. There was a little a tiny hole in it, a middle finger is enough to fit. Gon inserts his middle finger inside it and pulls it using all of his might. It was a thin wood shaped by a square, it was dusty and full of cobwebs. He sees a sword handle and grabs it.
It felt heavy, Gon pulled it harder, and a 40.5-inch Excalibur with an igniting machine on top of its handle fell to the floor making a loud metal noise. Maria suddenly looks behind hearing a noise that sounds familiar. She runs faster than a human could and grabs Gon's hands. She hugs Gon and pulls him away from the sword.
Maria: "How did you-...I mean...Oh no...what's that?!!
Gon: "I accidentally found it, mama, I was curious..."
Maria was nervous and she acted dumb towards Gon. She said she would report this to the police and she said to Gon to go upstairs. Gon is a Mama's boy so he obeys her in a split second. Maria's face turns serious and lifts the mechanical Excalibur one-handed. She looks everywhere planning where to hide it. In the morning, Gon asked what happened to the unknown sword. Maria panics and laughs it out.
Maria: "Kukukuku!!!! Oh that?!! I reported it to the police sweety, They investigating it...."
Gon: Good thing I found it! It would have hurt someone who found it if not us!"
Maria serves Gon many breakfast dishes because she doesn't want Gon to get thin. She likes Gon fat and healthy, Gon then heads to school, Gon can see the giant wall and it's big gateway where the heavy train goes in and out. He greets the hometown guards a good morning. While walking on a bridge, a loud machine noises came from the sky. Thousands of airships were flying heading towards the wall. It was confusing because of the amount of airships is heading. He continues to walk and a robe guy suddenly bumped to Gon making them stumble. Papers and blue prints scattered around. Gon helps the man pick up his blueprints and journals. The mysterious man looks at Gon and grabs his shoulder tightly and roughly shakes him.
"Before 9:49 pm at saturday, get out of this city and head to kassadin air base!!!! Trust me kid...somethings about to happen!!!!!."
The man runs away with haste while panicking. Gon was confused yet scared from what just happened. He thinked that it was a crazy man, he symphatizes the mans mental health and pray for him. Meanwhile at the classroom, Gon checks what day is it. It was Friday, 8:09 am, Gon makes himself busy while the teacher is having a lesson. The teacher had difficulty teaching because of the loud noise from the sky. The students checked it out, they saw bombers heading outside the wall too. Everyone was stunned by the size of it. Also, airships with high-powered cannons were following the giant bombers.
The teacher gets angry and continues his lesson. Then Gon gets back from his own business. At lunch, the fat kid that Gon saved thanked him because he didn't thank him for that day. The fat kid was rich, the fat kid said to Gon that he would repay him someday. Gon said it was fine even if he didn't repay him. The fat kid introduces himself as martin, he is a son of a governor and also a class topper. Gon said "good for you." And Gon focuses on eating his lunch break.
They talked about the airships going outside the wall. Martin said it was a military airship containing jaegers. Then Gon suddenly gets curious about the jaegers. Martin was surprised that Gon didn't know what is a Jaeger. A Jaeger is a super soldier, trained to kill morphex and defend, morphex are alien monsters that roams outside the walls. Jaegers eats the killed morphex to gain power strength, speed, stamina, and more.
Gon was disgusted about eating morphex since it's a monster. Martin said the morphex contains 49% genetical enhancement. But this only if it was handled by researchers. The meat of the morphex is examined by the scientist's and decrease the genetical enhancement to avoid side effects. Eating to much morphex can cause death, veins get dark and the victim gets blooted when eaten without decreased gene. The most fatal is the victim might turn into one of the morphex and much more worst.
Gon was amazed by martins knowledge from the jaegers and morphex. Martin felt good about the compliment and offered Gon that he will pay what he eats. The two become friends and talked until lunch break ends. After school, from the gates, martin runs up to Gon and forgot to say something. He said that a airship with a mark is the one who contains jaegers.the airship has a mark of a skeleton, jaegers are called many things. Angels of death, warfreaks because of their bloodlust against morphex's. The strongest is the crimson witch the first, a woman carrying a giant sickle. One swing could cut everything clean and perfectly, also the most bloodlusted Jaeger from the top.
While martin and Gon were walking, they talked about their dreams. Martin and Gon agreed to be a Jaeger someday. They parted ways and Gon was satisfied from his peaceful joyful day. When he arrives home, his mother suddenly hides something very quick. She keeps her composure and takes a sip on her tea. Gon was changing clothes and was talking to her about his day at school.
Gon: MAMA! I WANT TO BE A JAEGER SOMEDAY!!
Gon shouted to her, she spits her tea inside her mouth in surprised with widened eyes. She stands up and pinches gon's cheeks, she said that there are so many honorable jobs besides being a Jaeger. She looked nervous and remembering something traumatizing. Gon leans to her caress making maria calm down and take a deep breath. The was 5:30 am, Gon was staring at the clock and processing the man once said.
Gon helps his mom from cooking dinner. He couldn't keep the burden off his head. He had a hard time believing the man, but his guts wants to say it to his mother. It was 9:30 and he runs up to her mother to tell what's he's been keeping.
Gon: "MAMA! THE MAN SAID THERE'S SOMETHING BAD ABOUT TO HAPPEN HERE IN 9:49!!! WE NEED TO GET OUT OFF HER!!"
Maria: "Oh sweety, is that one of your friends? They must be fooling you, you should not believe something that's not proven yet."
She decides to cook his favourite meal, gon is still 12 years old. Yet she feels bothered since Gon doesn't lie. When Gon takes at the trash from night, he sees a group with robes.
