I mentally transmitted to Alistair
'Are you out of your mind?'
'Just listen, there is an illusion domain cast around some parts of the city. I need you to deactivate them so the guilds can come'
'How do you know?'

There was silence for a bit but I then felt Alistair leave my shoulder still in his cat form causing me to let out a sigh of relief.
'Now then'
Looking at the monsters pouring out the gate I quickly drew my sword as lightning surrounded my body and I charged forward. However, before that, I ran in front of a few civilians before I quickly moved them away but I also killed the monsters that were about to kill them.
At first, I didn't want to interfere.
However, after mulling it over I decided to interfere as a just-in-case measure.
Some might think I am being paranoid but with the Goddess of the Star bullshit, I think I have every right to be paranoid. If a whole new religion was made and it gained popularity with the masses then what else could happen? Besides this could actually work well for me.
Lightning coiled around me again as I thrust my blade causing a giant hole to appear in a monster killing it.
I was able to blitz a few of the creatures but it barely made a dent in their numbers.
As I slid to a stop I noticed a bear-like creature standing over me. However, when it swung its claws down I disappeared and reappeared above the bear and stabbed it in the head. Landing on the floor I then noticed 3 bird-like creatures charging toward me.
I quickly activated [Distortion] which caused monsters to stop before they could hurt me. I then swung my sword decapitating one of them before I reappeared behind another bird slashing my sword and killing the other one.
Once I landed on the floor I ran toward another group of monsters before I quickly dispatched them.
"Mommy!"
Looking toward the side I saw a kid that was buried under the rubble. I then quickly started to run toward him along with a few monsters.
Once I made it to him I quickly pulled him out of the rubble before I also grabbed the woman next to him. Appearing a distance away I gently put the woman in my arms down along with the boy.
"Mommy please wake up, ple-please," the boy shook the woman as tears came out of his eyes.
I then grit my teeth.
'This better fucking work'
After taking a breath a small golden glow surrounded my hands soon the wounds on the woman's body healed and she woke up.
"Please go to the nearest shelter," I instructed as I turned back
'That should've got his attention'
Ducking under the claws of the wolf I then sliced its head off before I used lightning to enhance my movements. I quickly killed the 8 monsters near me before a bottle filled with a blue liquid appeared in my right hand.
Quickly popping it up and drinking the potions I felt my mana quickly replenish.
'I only have 14 more but I have to use them carefully'
I then saw a monster standing over me causing me to quickly jump and land on a lamppost. Clenching my fist as a blue glow surrounded my hand causing a wolf and bird to fly into each other. I then quickly jumped down and a red glow surrounded my sword before I slashed down causing both of them to be sliced in half.
Once I landed I looked at the other monsters causing me to let out a sigh.
This is going to take forever.
But just as I thought that I saw a group of monsters suddenly fly in the air as another person ran toward them and appeared behind a second later. When he landed the monsters that were in the air were sliced into a dozen pieces as their limbs hit the floor.
"You've done a good job, first year," Hearing that I quickly turned to find a black hair and violet-eyed youth standing next to me. Seeing the black sword on his waist I instantly knew who he was.
'The fourth-year former student council president''
"Let us handle the rest yea," he said as he put a hand on my shoulder and smiled slightly
"Sure," Nodding I stepped back allowing the rest of the fourth-year students to take over. I wasn't exactly surprised as you could see the freshman on the student app.
His name was Alaric Hart and he was going to be one of the people who would die in the last stand against the demons.
He was going to be a friend to Issac as they were going to work at the same guild.
I looked at the rest of the fourth-year students and watched how they easily dispatched all of the creatures with ease.
Once they finished I was about to approach them but then suddenly pressure descended around the area causing me to freeze.
'Wh-What?'
I had only felt such suffocating pressure like this once and that was with Alistair who showed me what a real 13-star hero could do.
Looking at the golden portal that just expanded I saw a black silhouette approaching the portal and was getting bigger.
My heartbeat increased as I figured out what it was.
'No, no, no, no, how is this possible!?'
This wasn't how this was supposed to go!
A red claw exited the portal before a giant red leg covered in scales appeared. Soon the entire creature was revealed causing me to be stunned.

A giant sharp horn was on its nose, and giant spikes were visible along its spine.
The creature's red eyes then looked at us
'Why?'
Why the hell was the red drake here!?

Alistair looked around the area and remembered what Arthur had said.
'Illusion domain, huh'
Alistair had seen a lot of illusion domains however, this one was special. He couldn't sense anything when he entered or when it even manifested.
And that also wasn't mentioning the dungeon that appeared out of nowhere.
However, this event was familiar with the event then.
The first calamity was something that delivered the biggest blow to humanity. Despite the news saying demons were responsible the higher-ups knew it wasn't.
However, also Alistair knew it wasn't demons as the creature he faced off with was no demon.
Making it to the edge he quickly transformed back into his human form before he touched the barrier. Once he did he poured his mana into the barrier causing his eyes widened.
"Ah shit"
This was a type of barrier he had never seen before. Its rune structure was way too complex from what he had seen.
To disrupt the barrier he needed to block the mana running around the runes however, the runes that were embedded into the barrier had many other ways for the mana to leak out.
"What the hell made this,"
Memories came back as he remembered the great calamity.
Out of nowhere giant portals appeared in the sky much like the apocalypse. However, monsters that had never been seen before descended. They resembled angels but they were far from angels. The next second monsters started to pour out of the gates.
But humanity was prepared despite that they still faced quite a loss.
Alistar himself was a part of the people who slayed one of those creatures.
Suddenly Alistar's eyes shot open as he turned toward where Arthur was as he suddenly sensed a strong creature.
'Is that a dragon?'
Alistair wanted to run over there however, he was able to sense four other presences. Then a smile formed on his face.
'If he's there it shouldn't be a problem'

Looking at the creature towering over us I couldn't help but let my thoughts run around my head.
'How is it here?'
'Am I in the wrong place?'
'What happened?'
However, one name or title rang throughout my mind.
'The Goddess Of the Stars'
That was the only explanation I could come up with. I had guessed that she was a factor in my transmigration but this then also led me to another idea.
This world.
It isn't my world.
A bright red glow slowly started to go up the creature's spine before flames were coming out of his mouth.
"Shit!" a curse escaped my mouth as I quickly moved out of the way.
The drake opened its mouth causing a torrent of flames to come out.
*BOOOM*
As soon as the flames touched the ground a loud explosion happened causing me to activate [Distortion].
However, despite that, I was launched back into a building.
Thanks to the calamity buildings became more studier so repair wouldn't take so long.
"Ah Fuck,"
Making my way out I looked at the destruction in front of me but I noticed someone just standing there calmly.
'Fucking hell what kind of monster is he?'
Alaric was just standing there calmly as the land around him was destroyed. I looked at his black blade, which was sheathed. I knew most of the stuff he did was thanks to that blade however, even despite that he was pretty strong.
That being said even with the drake in a weakened state I doubt I'd be much help. However, I needed to get rid of this thing quickly.
And that was because I wanted to go to where Issac was.
Killing this thing was just insurance so nothing else would happen like, I don't know another Drake coming through the portal.
With a breath I let crimson lightning coil around my blade.
'Let's just hope this works'
