Hidden variables of sentience could be seen hiding between the semblance of these gargoyles' souls, and the hidden parts of their souls made their overall signature of existence much more eerie and unnatural.
These gargoyles clearly weren't born naturally, nor was it created by someone from this universe.
This whole place might be related to whoever gave Nagan and the two other usalians their {Void Eye}, and this might also connect the event holder of the Virtuosic War, Keter, with whoever was the one behind the Voidmetric Incident back on Viridis.
Nagan noticed that if he were to approach any further than where he currently was, the gargoyles were immediately going to be activated, and he wasn't sure on how strong they were going to be.
And so, instead of jumping into the frays, a potential sea of invisible methanol fire that might burn him to his death, Nagan decided to commit to a preparation to fight whatever the unknown threat that was awaiting him.
