"Pfft, why would I be scared of you? People should be scared of losing their loved one, not getting any food in this perpetual winter, and probably of the calamities most and foremost. They shouldn't be scared of someone's eyes!"
"Are you scared of the Lich?"
"I do, obviously."
"Then how come you're able to fight it?"
"Because courage doesn't mean the absence of fear, it's the will to overcome it. The fear is still there, but what's good if I let my fear stop me from taking a step forward to a better future?"
"I don't understand."
"You will understand it, sonny, you will."
And just like that, they traveled together through the blizzard and storms, surviving through the knowledge of the apocalypses by utilizing the organs and skins of the calamities.
