Aside from those samples regarding the huffalos, the materials carved from the eldritch horror were useful too in some way. They couldn't be eaten, nor could they be used for anything else due to a tint of corruption existing in all of them, but they could be researched, and their genome might prove useful when the kingdom reached that level of technology.
Regardless, they needed to be cleaned off from mother nature, as their hints of corruption could lead to an unnecessary problems in the future if the biomass manage to integrate itself into the ecosystem.
Hopscotch, Nagan, and Owen had also been traveling to another regions and continents time to time, gathering some samples while also removing the excess biomass to at least prevent the corruption to a great extent, as it was impossible to clean off the whole wayward planet without glassing the majority of the landmass..
