Chapter 195 - Chapter 194: Four Horsemen Defeated

Watching as the massive metal pyramid in the distance was being lifted into the air, I immediately thought Magneto had somehow woken up, but that wasn't it. I had given him a good punch; he shouldn't be awake for quite some time. However, when I looked harder, I spotted a small whitish dot underneath the pyramid, causing me to instantly realize it was Pharaoh. I didn't know why he was lifting the pyramid into the sky, but it was safe to assume it had something to do with Apocalypse.

'We should quickly help him.' Thought Carol with a slight frown as she watched the pyramid vanish through the atmosphere and into space before carefully placing the stadium-sized meteor down.

Now that I knew how to bypass those invisible shields, things just got a lot easier, flying back toward where I was previously fighting Magneto. I swiftly found Rogue and her group had a tough time against Storm since they could do nothing to her thanks to the shield surrounding her, which also meant that the man responsible for it must've been close by.

'Heh, bingo.' Mused Carol with a smirk as she spotted the man hiding underneath a collapsed building, utterly unaware of Carol since he was too busy focusing on Storm.

"Ugh, Rogue, what happened? Has your powers begun to wane already?" Asked Bobby with iced-out arms and legs as he glided across a wave of ice amidst the powerful winds while blasting Storm with ice, which, despite not touching her thanks to the shield, still slowed her down and hampered her vision.

"No, my powers are still working in full force; Storm's shield had just suddenly gotten super strong, and I can no longer crack it, let alone break it." Replied Rogue with an ugly expression as her eyes took on a reddish tint before two beams of concentrated plasma spewed out from her eyes and blasted Storm with them, yet thanks to the shield, they did nothing.

"Hey, you two! Be prepared to knock Storm out; I'll help break that shield for you!" Stated Carol with a faint smirk as she seemingly appeared from nowhere, causing Rogue and Bobby to glance at her.

"Eh, you can break the shield? Did you already take care of Magneto? Didn't he have a shield surrounding him as well?" Questioned Bobby skeptically as he looked at Carol, who smiled.

"Yes to all three. Now, get ready; just be prepared to hold back your punches, Rogue; otherwise, you'll kill Storm." Stated Carol with a grin as she glanced at Rogue, who had just gotten zapped with a barrage of lightning, yet, thanks to her aura, her clothes weren't damaged in the slightest.

Blasting Storm with powerful energy beams from my hands, I shot off toward the man hiding underneath the rubble by smashing right through it with my body before colliding against the shield protecting him, and it did do its job; he was flung far away, just in time for to look back and hear glass breaking as Rogue punched right through the shield, hitting Storm in the gut and flinging her toward the ground, where Beast and the large metal dude came and held her down.

"Sorry about this, Storm, but it's better than being punched." Said Beast as he and Colossus held Storm down before reaching into his pocket and stabbing a needle into the side of her neck, injecting sedation liquid into her bloodstream, knocking her unconscious a few seconds later.

"So that, two down, two more to go?" Remarked Bobby as he landed beside Beast and Colossus along with Rogue, only for them to all glance in the distance where Psylocke was on the losing end while fighting against Wolverine, Kitty, and Gambit.

"They've got her under control; let's focus on the fourth man before dealing with them." Stated Beast as he watched Wolverine tank right through all of Psylocke's attacks without flinching like the ferocious beast he was, only to constantly violently attack her while Gambit and Kitty helped from the sides.

"Oh, you mean this man?" Said Carol with a faint smirk as she carried the man by holding him by his invisible shield, only to drop him on the ground with all five of them circling him.

After I dropped him on the ground, Rogue walked forward and violently punched him, but other than her wincing while grabbing her hand, the man's shield stayed solid, and not so much as a crack was seen; not like it would've mattered much, the cracks would've healed rather quickly anyways.

"So, how do we defeat him if we can't get to him?" Asked Rogue lightly as she held her hand while glancing between Beast and Carol, only for Bobby to step forward while smiling.

"We don't need to defeat him, Rogue; we just need to make him unable to fight back or assist his teammates. That's easy to do." Remarked Bobby with a smile as he pointed his iced-out hands towards the man, only to blast him with freezing cold air, quickly turning into ice surrounding his shield.

Seeing what Bobby was getting at, we all backed away and watched as he froze the man encased in his protective shield, yet he didn't stop there and continued to freeze all around him, turning him into a six-meter tall and four-meter thick stalagmite. I couldn't even see him through that dense bluish ice.

"Good job, Bobby; now, we just need to deal with that woman over there." Said Beast with a nod as he turned and looked at Psylocke, only for her to suddenly get with two beams of heat vision and two energy beams, knocking her backward into the building while Gambit followed up with several exploding cards, causing the collapsed building to further collapse atop her.

"Well, that was easy." Said Colssus lightly in his deep, Russian accent as he nodded and dusted his hands off.

"So, now that we've taken care of these four, how do we assist Pharaoh with Apocalypse? Cause I don't know if you all saw, but I'm pretty sure he flew the metallic pyramid into space." Asked Bobby curiously as he folded his arms and looked at everyone, only for Rogue to glance upwards and nervously tap his shoulder.

"Yeah, about that, you've got terrible timing, Bobby; the pyramid, it's coming back down and doing so very fast." Said Rogue with an unsightly expression as she looked through the dense clouds and eyed the metal pyramid burning up, re-entering Earth's atmosphere at incredible speeds.

Hearing Rogue, I glanced upwards, and although the dark clouds were making it hard to see, I did spot a flaming object getting larger and closer by the second; it might've just been from the angel we were looking at, but it, looked like it was heading straight for us.

"What are we looking at? Oh, never mind, I see." Asked Gambit curiously as he, Kitty, and a healed Wolverine approached the group, only for them to all look at the sky, spotting the flaming pyramid through the gaps in the clouds.

"Um, that looks like it's coming right for us, right?" Asked Kitty hesitantly as she glanced at everyone, who all subconsciously nodded.

"Well then, we've got to stop it, right? Or at least slow it down like what Carol did with that meteor?" Questioned Rogue as she glanced at the meteor sitting in the distance before looking back up at the rapidly approaching pyramid.

"Yeah, we do have to. Let's just hope Pharaoh isn't pushing against it; otherwise, it will be difficult for us to stop it." Remarked Carol with a nod as she inwardly sighed before taking to the skies, followed closely by Rogue.

Swiftly flying towards the falling pyramid, which was still hundreds of miles in the air, once Rogue and I arrived, we followed beside it before carefully standing underneath it as we slowly pushed against it, though instantly, I was able to determine it as much heavier than the meteor.

"Ugh, t-this thing is heavy!" Stated Rogue with a strained expression as she pushed against the pyramid with all of her borrowed might, her muscles powerfully flexing, partially ripping her clothes since all of her aura was covering the pyramid, or at least most of it.

"Y-Yeah; just continue to push, though; we've got to slow it down!" Said Carol with a nod; the colorful aura surrounding her suddenly got denser while her eyes took on a white glow as she pushed with all of her might, massively slowing it down, yet even so, despite giving it her all, the pyramid was still falling.

'Fuck me, Pharaoh's definitely pushing this thing; he may not be faster than me, but he's damn sure got more torque than me.' Thought Carol with an ugly expression as she looked down, noticing the rapidly approaching ground.

"One last push, Rogue; you best give it your all!" Yelled Carol as she gritted her teeth and dug her fingers into the very metal before using every ounce of strength to push against it while Rogue did her absolute best, though given the massive difference in strength between the two, she wasn't nearly helping as much as she thought.

With our combined might, we managed to slow the pyramid down a little bit more before we collided with the earth, though; while I'm sure we had caused a significant amount of damage to the surrounding area, at least Egypt was still on the map.

"Ugh, I wanted a vacation, not this." Muttered Carol with a sigh while squished between the pyramid and the dirt beneath her.
