Chapter 60 - Chapter 59: New Powers Awaken!?

Looking at my frozen food, I looked around, noticing mine was the only bowl frozen; I looked at Mom and Dad in hopes they could tell me what had just happened, but when I saw them, they were freezing. Dad has frost forming around his beard, while the tip of Mom's hair is covered in frost; I was confused as hell, but seeing them practically freezing to death, I looked everywhere, yet I found nothing that could cause this.

"T-T-Tut c-close y-your m-mouth!" Yelled Hana while shivering in the cold, barely able to speak as she looked at Pharaoh, who suddenly widened his eyes before quickly shutting his mouth.

'Ice breath! Wait a second, if my Ice breath finally awakened, does that mean…' Thought Pharaoh, and almost right on cue, his eyes gained a tint of red.

Seeing everything suddenly gaining a slight red tint, out of reflex, I closed my eyes, hoping my heat vision would shut itself off, which thankfully worked since, though I didn't dare open my eyes to see if I could control it.

"D-Does a-anyone here, k-know what's h-happening?" Asked James as he looked between Hana and Pharaoh, who both shook their heads, causing him to sigh.

"Well, it seems like I can now expel icy air from my breath, though I think that was rather obvious." Remarked Tut, though every time he spoke, the surrounding temperature, which was beginning to rise, plummeted once more.

"Y-Yes, w-we figured t-that out, s-so, c-can you s-stop doing t-that? Your Father and I are freezing." Replied Hana with a nod as she stood up and backed toward the couch, concealing herself under every blanket available, though it did little to warm her up.

Shaking my head, I heard both of my parents sigh, and since I couldn't stop, I figured it would be best to head outside; at least that way, if I accidentally use my heat vision, I point it to the sky.

'I just hope I don't hit an unfortunate plane.' Thought Tut as he stood up; well, he did, but he also happened to bring the table with him, causing everything to fall onto the floor.

"W-What the h-hell, Tut; t-those were my f-favorite bowls! Put the table down!" Yelled Hana in slight anger as she stared at the spilled Udon and shattered bowls before eyeing Pharaoh, who was holding the table.

"I-I'm sorry, Mom, but I'm not holding the table; see." Said Pharaoh apologetically as he extended his arm outward, showcasing his opened hand, which was somehow stuck to the table.

"S-So you can s-stick things to your hands now a-as well?" Asked James with furrowed brows as he glanced at the table glued to Tut's hand before looking at him while still shivering in the cold.

"I-I guess? I-I don't really know, Dad." Replied Tut as he slightly opened his eyes, only for an extremely hot laser to shoot from his eyes and hit the table, surprising Hana and James.

Quickly shutting my eyes, I breathed a sigh of relief, though that was a mistake, as I heard Mom sneeze, prompting me to quickly head outside through the backdoor, which was proving a little tricky since I had a whole ass table stuck to my hand. Finally exiting the house into the backyard, I was going to continue, but the stupid table got stuck on the door frame, and using my genius intellect, I thought it would be a good idea to try and pull my hand off the table using the door frame.

Which obviously didn't work; in fact, shortly after I started pulling, the entire table busted through the door frame, causing me to stumble backward and fall to the ground; the worst part was that I couldn't even open my eyes to see.

"T-Tut!" Said Hana calmly, though the cold anger was evident in her voice as she and James stood at the broken doorway

"S-Sorry?" Replied Tut while lying on the ground with a wry smile, which was hidden as the table was on his face.

After the little incident of a few of my powers awakening, Mom and Dad went to bed early on a mostly empty stomach while I stayed outside in the backyard, mainly because Mom had forbidden me from entering the house until I got my powers under control, and partially because I was guarding the broken back door.

For the rest of the night, I focused on first trying to remove my hand from the table, which, after rubbing my hand over, I noticed it sustained absolutely no damage whatsoever, greatly surprising me as I had blasted it with my heat vision by accident; I expected to find a burning hole on it somewhere, but that wasn't the case.

Trying to remove my hand wasn't difficult, and after about an hour or so of concentrating, I finally managed to do so, though when I stood up in joy, I brought along a large piece of the earth with me, causing me to sit back down in annoyance as I continued gaining control over my powers.

By the time the first signs of morning rolled around, I had a basic level of control over my ice breath, heat vision, and whatever my other ability was, which is something I didn't even know Kryptonians had. Although saying I had basic control might be a bit of a stretch, I could only really turn them on and off, but that was good enough for right now; I didn't want to burn a hole or freeze the house, and I definitely didn't want to harm Mom, Dad, or anyone else.

'Welp, it's better than nothing, though; now I need to find a more secure and uninhabited place to practice my abilities.' Thought Pharaoh with a yawn as he stood up and carefully carried the table through the destroyed doorway and set it back in its correct position.

I already had a few places in mind where I could train my powers in peace: the North or South Pole, the bottom of the ocean, the X-Mansion, or, more specifically, the Danger Room, an island, and, lastly, deep in a jungle.

'Hmm, the North and South Poles would be difficult to get to. I doubt I could get there by plane without an adult, and I don't feel like swimming. The bottom of the ocean isn't a bad idea, but that place is definitely freaky, and I'm not fond of freaky unless it's a woman, then I'm all for it. Danger Room might be the best idea, but I just visited Jean literally two days ago, so I don't really feel like going back, though I could ask Kurt to teleport me somewhere. But if I'm going to do that, I might as well use the Danger Room.' Pondered Tut with a thoughtful expression as he sat down on the couch and started watching TV.

After a while of watching some random shows and not coming up with a plan I liked, I stood up and headed upstairs, going to check on Mom since she seemed to be feeling under the weather.

"Dad, Mom?" Said Pharaoh while knocking on their bedroom door, and only when he heard James's voice did he enter.

"Are your new powers under control?" Asked James as he glanced at Tut while tending to Hana, who was lying in bed, looking rather worse for wear.

Nodding to Dad, I walked closer to the bed and looked at Mom, who was fighting off a rather bad cold thanks to me practically freezing her yesterday evening; if I zoomed in closely on Mom, I could actually see her immune system fighting off the virus that was wrecking her body.

"Sorry, Mom." Said Pharaoh lightly while standing beside James as he looked down at Hana, who sneezed before giving him a blank look.

Seeing how she didn't seem in the mood to speak with me, I apologized once more before exiting the room, leaving Dad to tend to her while I planned to visit Sara since she might be able to help me with my situation. Well, not really help me, but she might know of more places where I could practice my ability; after all, she's currently an intern at Daily Bugle and hopes to become a fully-fledged journalist.

"If I'm not mistaken, journalists visit many different places, right?" Muttered Tut with a raised eyebrow as he shrugged his arms before leaving the house, walking down the street and heading to the Grey's house.

Since it was still pretty early in the morning and I could hear everyone was sleeping, I didn't bother knocking on the door and instead entered the backyard, which caused the greyhound sleeping in the dog house to wake up instantly; though I visited the Grey's frequently, so after, Blueno, the greyhound, gave me a once over, it returned to sleeping.

'She's either one lazy dog or a very intelligent one.' Mused Tut with a wry smile as he leaped off the picnic table and landed on the slopped roof.

Walking to Sara's window, which she never bothers to lock, I quietly opened it and entered inside before closing it shut; softly landing on the ground, I walked towards the bed and took off my shoes before laying under the blankets and snuggling right up to her.

'Now, I just wait until she awakens.' Thought Tut with a mischievous smirk as he lay right beside the sleeping Sara.

Which didn't take too long. After about thirty or so minutes, she awakened with a yawn, only to freeze when she flipped onto her side and stared right at me.

"Boo." Said Tut, though contrary to his expectations, all he received was a light hit on the head.
