Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: Aliens First Day At School

(Note: I would like to add that our Mc will be a seamless part of the Marvel Universe as if he was always supposed to be part of Earth-616, he isn't just a self-insert; he'll have his own enemies and story.)

It was the year 2000 on the celestial body called Gia, more commonly known by its many inhabitants, Earth; on this day, a particular alien, whose name would one day resound throughout the planet, was waking up, but that was years into the future. Right now, our alien friend was awakening from his slumber as today was the first of kindergarten for him, and while he wasn't excited, the same couldn't be said for his parents.

"Pharaoh, wake up! It's already 6:50; you need to be at school by 7:30, and you're not about to be late on your first day!" Yelled Hana from down the stairs while wearing a gray suit, a long skirt with leggings underneath, and formal shoes.

Hearing Mom, I grumbled under my breath, but despite not wanting to go to school, I listened to Mom and got out of bed.

"Yes, I'm awake, Mom." Said Pharaoh blandly in a childish voice while yawning as he exited his room and entered the bathroom.

Once I finished peeing, I stood on a stool and started brushing my teeth; when I finished, I exited the bathroom and headed back to my room to wear the clothes Mom had already picked out for me yesterday. Looking at those childish clothes sprawled on the foot of my bed, I sighed, but still, I took off my PJs and wore them as I knew Mom wouldn't let me leave this house otherwise.

'Well, at least the entire outfit isn't bad; I'm wearing all white air-force ones. Hmm, now that I got a good look, I'm actually rather cute. I'd prefer handsome, but I'm a little too young to be called handsome yet.' Thought Pharaoh with a slight smile as he looked in the mirror, observing his outfit, and although he wasn't pleased, he wasn't as upset as before.

Grabbing my small backpack, I turned off the lights and headed downstairs, or more like jumped from the top to the ground, which was about an eight-foot drop, something a normal child would probably get hurt from, but I wasn't a normal child.

"Pharaoh, what did I say about doing that? You're going to rip your clothes like last time." Said Hana with a slight frown as she glanced towards the stairs when she heard a loud thud, causing her eyes to land on Pharaoh walking toward her.

"Sorry, Mom, it's just fun to do sometimes." Replied Pharaoh sheepishly as he set his backpack down and sat down beside Hana, who was eating breakfast at the table.

"Haa, what am I going to do with you." Muttered Hana quietly, speaking Japanese, though even so, Pharaoh heard everything she said.

"Thanks, Mom." Said Pharaoh in perfect Japanese as he grabbed a pair of chopsticks and started eating leftover onigiri from yesterday.

Despite how skeptical I was when I first laid my eyes on onigiri, they tasted utterly delicious, at least the ones Mom makes; actually, although I've only lived for six years so far, Mom hasn't made a single dish I don't like.

"So, little Tut, you excited for your first day at school? Ready to make new friends and meet new people?" Asked Hana with a slight smile as she took a bite of onigiri before glancing at Pharaoh or Tut, who was trying to stuff a whole onigiri into his mouth.

"No, not really; most of the kids around the neighborhood are pretty lame. The only cool kids are Jean from down the street, Pete, who lives in the apartment buildings a few blocks down, and Gwen; although both Pete and Gwen are a little weird, they aren't super childish. I just hope I get one of them in my class; otherwise, it will be boring." Replied Pharaoh, after finally swallowing nearly an entire onigiri, though his words caused Hana to give him a weird look.

"I know you're a little more mature than the other children you've met, but don't forget you're only 6; you're also still childish." Said Hana with an amused smirk as she shook her head and rubbed Pharaoh's head; well, she at least tried to, but she wasn't even able to budge him.

"Nearly forget, but under no circumstances can you show your powers, alright? I'm being serious, Tut. Your Father and I have already told you several times what'll happen if you openly display your abnormal strength. In the best-case scenario, you'll be labeled as a Mutant and will merely be ostracized by everyone; in the worst case, the government will come and separate us." Stated Hana seriously as she forcefully made Pharaoh look at her while she looked deeply into his bright purple eyes, wanting to convey the graveness of the matter.

"I understand, Mom; I promise I won't display anything strange; I'll ensure to limit my strength to that of the other children." Said Pharaoh seriously as he nodded his head, causing Hana to smile lightly and kiss his forehead before releasing him.

"And I wouldn't allow the Government to separate us if they tried to; I'll defeat them!" Added Pharaoh as he stood on the chair and righteously raised his fist into the air, eliciting a slight chuckle from Hana before she quickly reprimanded him for standing at the table.

Quickly finishing my food, I grabbed my back that was leaning on the side of the table and followed behind Mom as we exited the house, just in time to see an old red pickup truck pulling into the driveway.

"Ahh, there's my favorite person in the world!" Said James in a gruff voice as he exited the truck and walked toward Hana and Pharaoh, completely ignoring Hana, walking right by her only to swoop Pharaoh into a hug.

"Hey, Dad! Mom said you were at work and weren't going to make it." Asked Pharaoh with a curious smile as he sat on James' arms while Hana folded her arms and gave him an admonishing look.

"Yes, Honey, what happened to being unable to make it?" Asked Hana passively aggressively with a raised eyebrow as she glared at James, causing him to lean down and kiss her, only to be interrupted by Pharaoh pushing them apart.

"Eww, no kissing; do it when I'm not present!" Said Pharaoh with a disgusted expression, causing James and Hana to chuckle as they both entered the green Camry parked beside the red truck.

"Anyways, is my little man excited for his first day at school?" Asked James with a smile as he sat in the driver's seat, looking at Pharaoh through the rearview mirror while Hana sat in the passenger seat.

"Not really, it's probably going to be boring." Replied Pharaoh as he set his backpack beside him and buckled up just as the car began to move.

"Eh, well, you're luckier than me; my parents didn't have enough money to send me to school, so I don't know what it's like, but I'm sure it's going to be fun." Said James with a smile as he waved at a small family of four to his left.

Seeing Jean also dressed up in a childish outfit, I internally chuckled while waving back at her, to which she happily waved back, along with her older sister Sara, who was four years older than me, so while she was still childish, it was at least tolerable in my opinion. The rest of the ride to school was relatively quiet, well, at least for me; Mom and Dad were speaking about important stuff that I wasn't the least bit interested in, so I ignored it and looked out the window, enjoying the birds flying overhead.

'Heh, wait for me; I'll be up there soon with you.' Mused Pharaoh with a slightly eager smile as he eyed a few birds.

Despite having only lived for six years, I'm already incredibly strong; I'm capable of lifting cars like they're toys, and while I desire to test out my current limit, I can't really go anywhere to do so. I may be an alien and have the mind of an adult, but I'm still a child, and if my parents find out I'm missing, they'll be beyond pissed; maybe not Dad since he's pretty laid back, but definitely Mom, she loves me dearly, that I know, but she's also pretty strict.

Speaking of my parents, our family is possibly the weirdest group of people I'll ever come across; Mom is Japanese and moved to the States when she was about my age, while Dad was born here in the U.S., specifically in Kansas, which, funnily enough, is the same place where the original superman crashed, and where I also crashed. Just like how I asked the Overseer dude, I'm black with caramel-covered skin, and obviously not African American since, well, I'm not human at all, but that's what I say I am to avoid confusion.

What I find the weirdest thing about our family definitely has to do with Dad; he dresses up just like how you'd expect a racist person to dress: Jeans, boots, shirts with the American flag, a bald eagle, or a gun, and lastly, a bass pro fishing hat; to top it all off, he's got a southern accent. At first glance, you'd think he's a racist, but when you see him walking around while hugging his Japanese wife and holding his black child by the hand with a smile, some people show shocked expressions, which I find funny.

"Yo, sport; we're here." Said James as he parked the car and got out, followed by Hana and Pharaoh, who sighed.

Exiting the car, I grabbed Mom's hand as the three of us walked across the street to the school, and like I was saying, I noticed a few adults show slightly surprised faces when they saw our family, though they quickly ignored us.

"Tut, I'm sure you Mom told you, but remember, no powers." Said James quietly as he leaned down and whispered into Tut's ear.

"I know, Dad." Replied Tut with a nod, causing James to smile as he stood upright and affectionately rubbed his head.
