Chapter 5 - Chapter 5: The Hero and the Kid

*The Blue Demon, one of the six major demons in the lineage, alongside the Lord of Chaos, the White Demon. These six beings and their respective armies ravaged Malakye for decades, killing and plundering everything in their path. The Blue Demon, in particular, was known for its fierce hatred of humanity, much like its twin, the Red Demon, known for its sadism. During the final battle, these two demons were present at the castle of Lord Krezios. Their devastating power shook the sky and the earth. Literally, their battle against the heroes Allen and Rhadim caused earthquakes. But despite this unleashed violence, the hero Allen could not eliminate the Blue Demon. At least, that's what's written in the history books. And it's with this information in mind that Lord Gawain flew at full speed to the sealed location.*

-The Blue Demon... a monster that even my ancestors couldn't defeat. *He thought.* Just 80 years ago, all the high-ranking Psykers of the kingdom had to join forces to seal it. I wonder if I'm up to the task.

*He clenched his fist as if to affirm his determination.*

-There's no room for hesitation. These demons must be eradicated at all costs.

-Lord Gawain, you're almost there. *The PNA HQ informed him.*

-Yes, I'm arriving at... the site.

*He widened his eyes, surprised by the scene before him.*

-Lord Gawain... Lord Gawain... Don't tell me he got caught?

*He regained his composure and touched his earpiece.*

-I'm fine, don't worry.

*There were several craters on the ground, then a trail that crossed the earth. All along, there were pieces and limbs of the Blue Demon, and right in the small crater on the mountainside was its head. Gawain bent down and lifted the head, raising it.*

-Here, Gawain... The Blue Demon is dead.

-Huh... Lord Gawain... Repeat.

*A photo arrived on the main screen of the PNA crisis room, and Gawain pressed a button.*

-I confirm... The Blue Demon is dead.

*Suddenly, cheers erupted in the control center. Agents hugged each other, and Achy sat down for the first time since the crisis began, letting out a sigh.*

-Well done, Lord Gawain. *An agent shouted.*

-Worthy descendant of the hero Gizon.

-One last thing. *Gawain continued.* It wasn't me who eliminated it.

*A chill ran through the room again.*

-Can you repeat that? *Achy asked, sweating suddenly.*

*But to understand what had just happened, we need to go back 10 minutes earlier. No, half an hour earlier. Gizon was in the damaged car, and the driver, seeing him as a child, was taking him to the nearest police station.*

-I'll take you back, kid. What's your name again?

-Gizon... Gizon Olsen.

-Haha. Your parents named you after the hero.

-Oooooh, you have no idea.

-Haha. You know, that name was so popular at one point; a law was passed to forbid it. Only members of the Gawain family can use it.

-Tell me about it...

-You must be from abroad. Where are you from, kid?

-From far... Very far away.

-Who's this kid? *The driver thought.* He's so small, but he has an adult's voice.

*Suddenly, Gizon had a flash. He felt an anomaly in the air, like an incredible surge of psychic energy. He got out of the car, breaking the door.*

-But...

*Without saying a word, he flew into the air and looked around. The city was lit up, but something was wrong; the air had changed, and the atmosphere resembled that of his time.*

-Hey, kid, I thought this world was at peace, but it feels like a morning invasion on a Thursday.

-Morning invasion?! *Ezio said suprised.* Honestly, I don't know. It might be related to your resurrection.

-My resurrection?

-The spell might have unleashed sealed demons.

-You don't say.

*Ezio thus explained his story to Gizon. Not that he understood 80% of what he was saying, but he had grasped enough of what was happening. We return to where we left them.*

-You know what, kid, I've heard enough. I'll give you control.

-What? But... I'm going to get demolished.

-If you die, I can go back to my eternal nap. I thought you wanted to be a hero...

-But... Not like this.

*But he wasn't listening. That said, Ezio, now in control, saw the world differently. He didn't just see things; he felt them—their life, their aura, their power. He detected demons hundreds of kilometers away. He had been put in control of the most powerful vehicle on the planet.*

-Oh my god. Oh my god, oh my god. I can't do this.

-But yes, you can; you're a Psyker now.

-It's true... But... I had resigned at some point. Remember? I planned to pass the torch to someone better than me.

-And how am I better?

-Uh, you're Gizon the crimson general. The Phoenix Lord, the nightmare of Malakye, the scourge of Vouivres, the exterminator...

-Okay, okay, okay, I'm better than you. *He said sarcastically.* But what do I always say?

-With great power comes the responsibility to use it to the fullest?

-The power even given must be earned. My religion forbids suicide, and I refuse to take a child's life, so no choice. Either you pilot, or you get wrecked. I win in both cases.

-Wait, at least explain to me how...

*A Troll struck Ezio, and the young boy protected himself by reflex, but the punch stopped as if it had hit a crystal wall. Psychic energy had formed a crystal wall in front of him, and the young boy, smiling, retaliated and struck the huge monster. His fist made a huge hole in its stomach, and the beast caught fire before collapsing to the ground.*

-By the fire of Gizon, what have I just done?*The young boy said, as terrified as amazed.*

-Literally the fire of Gizon. You know? Mine?

-I'm invincible...

*The boy rushed into the melee and unleashed a flurry of punches and kicks, surrounded by flames, effortlessly incinerating the horde.*

-Hahaha, he feels unstoppable. That's good; ablaze yourself.

-Hey, don't laugh in my mind.

-I forgot to tell you; you only have a tenth of my strength right now. I'd get out of here if I were you...

-Only a tenth? Oh, I see; you're not in control.

*A sudden flash made him stumble. Ezio was flying in the direction of the next horde, but he was flying just below the speed of sound. However, he arrived right above where the Gray Wolf horde was facing Psyker Kalinsky. Ezio was still surrounded by the aura of flames, and his hair stood on end, giving him an almost divine look.*

-Hey kid, what are you doing?

-Isn't it obvious? I'm trying to summon the fire comet...

-The what? Go home, kid; can't you see the girl is handling it? Look, she seems to be doing fine over there.

*Ezio looked at Beth; the woman seemed exhausted from her repeated battles.*

-She looks tired. Besides, she doesn't have armor; she'll be overwhelmed.

-Armors are for amateurs; legends don't need them.

-Can you remind me how you died already?

-You know what ? Fuck off.

*Ezio activated the comet and incinerated the Gray Wolf horde in front of Beth's astonished gaze. The Wolves let out cries of pain and agony that made Gizon smile.*

-Dirty overweight mutts.

-You're a real sadist. *Ezio said.*

-It was you who incinerated them; personally, I would have dismembered them first.

*Ezio flew even further west.*

-First, I have to make sure there are no demons attacking from the west.

-Why, is there something to the west? *He asked casually.*

-My parents. *He said seriously.*

-Oh...

*Ezio flew this time as fast as sound. As he accelerated, he suddenly came across a demon on the horizon. A blue one. It let out a scream that ravaged part of the forest in front.*

-Oh my Goth, it's huge.

-Sorry, kid. *Gizon said.* I'm taking back control.

*Ezio found himself suddenly ejected from his body, unable to do anything about it. In front of him stood a huge and massive being. Ezio felt himself losing his breath, even though he was in astral form.*

-The... The... The de... The demon... It...

-Stop pissing yourself. From now on, let the grown-ups talk.

*To be continued.*
