Karasu was the strongest demon Shin created so far, strong enough to be compared to Tetsu. A brief hand-to-hand spar the two demons had afterward to test Karasu's mettle proved it.
Karasu met Tetsu's blows with his own, matching her pace. She wasn't using all her strength, and she was tired after the exhausting magic, but it was still good.
"This would've been enough to be a match for someone like Iashkawa and Jun… If you don't count their abilities," Shin commented. "Of course, being Contracted gave them extra power from merging. But you also have a special ability, Karasu, made with a specific purpose. Show me how you can use it."
The demon nodded. "Yes, master."
He moved from the brightly lit yard in front of Shin's house to its shadow and disappeared. All traces of his presence were gone, or at least, it felt this way.
"Ah! You didn't tell me about this boss—can he turn invisible? No, I can't smell him either—even better? But can I touch him?"
