The shelf was over three meters tall and long, made from steel bars—clearly made with a lifting machine in mind. Even pushed from the other side, it fell slowly at first, then slowed entirely when Tetsu's power took a hold of it.
She was still pushing it back, when Shin dashed past the falling shelf towards the hiding enemies. He made three steps before his legs sank into the floor to the ankle.
"Shit!" Shin was fast enough to pull one leg out before the concrete became solid again, but the other one was stuck.
'Can Yozo's demon use this power at a distance, too? Is that how he dropped this shelf?'
"Bastards!" Tetsu shouted, coming out of Shin fully. She raised her hands, as if pushing the air, and the imbalanced shelf leaned to the other side, falling away from Shin. "Take this! I'm going to get you for this, and then I will make myself earrings out of your tongues!"
