As Inaho transformed, plates of chitin grew from under her skin, soon covering most of her body. Her eyes widened and her eyeballs split—first into two, then into four, then into eight… and soon, both entire eyes turned into a grotesque mix of human eyeballs and insect's faceted lens.
There were claws on her hands, and a long, scorpion-like tail with a stinger grew from the end of Inaho's spine. Tiny writing of the ancient, unspoken tongue of gods covered her body—three full Verses, but nothing more.
Shin's eyes lit up with excitement. Something about this insect-like form made him even more eager to take it apart than normal—a morbid, inhuman curiosity. He twisted his own metal claws.
Inaho attacked first, swiping with her hand. Shin sidestepped with ease.
"So slow! And you tried to go against us with this?" Shin mocked. "I won't even need to use my power on you!"
