Take a chance on me

There she stood, inspecting the image in the large window of the large building. From her golden strappy heels, nude painted toes, her long silky dress that felt smooth on her long legs. Long chesnut colored hair that fell in waves around her shoulders. Everything about her was long, including her face. That night, she broke up with her boyfriend of 10 years. All she could do in that moment was reflect. Pour through 10 years of memories, 10 years of laughter, 10 years of fighting, 10 years of tears, 10 years of....love. At least from her perspective. 

"I don't know Merinla, it's like you just stopped caring about yourself lately. You were definitely hotter before. Now, you're just uninteresting to look at." 

It made her cringe to hear it again. What was she going to do now? 10 years, 10 long years down the drain. Merinla was so lost in thought and refelction, she didn't hear the figure approach her nor did she the reflection in the window. 

"Hell of a night huh?" 

Merinla chuckled. "Oh yeah, a real riot. Definitely one for the history books." 

The figure looked down and smiled. A genuine smile, unbeknownst to the brown haired. He walked close behind her. So close she could feel his chest on her back and his breath on her neck. 

" I can make you forget. Fill the hole with new memories, new experiences. Things that idiot could only dream of." 

Chills ran down her spine. "Is that so?" 

"All you have to do is take a chance on me."
