"Aurelio Long Santoro! If I come upstairs and I see you aren't dressed I will whip that butt of yours!" A woman shouted from downstairs. A young six year old boy was sleeping on his bed he didn't bother moving he just hugged his pillow tightly.
"Five more minutes," Aurelio mattered to himself as he sighed and he turned his head. Aurelio let out a sigh as he smiled he dreamed about food and eating all kinds of food. A ten year old girl slammed her palms together and Aurelio jumped up as he scream he blinked he stared at his older sister who grinned happily and she clapped her hands together.
"If it isn't my dear brother you aren't the only one who will be punished if you are late!" The girl shouted and grabbed her brother by the hand and dragged him down the stairs. They were eight kids the oldest is twelve years old and his name is Logan, the second oldest is Hannah she is actually Logan's twin sister both of them are known to be talented, third oldest is Mike his eleven years old, fourth oldest Lily ten years old, she has a twin sister her name is Jessica, both of them are identical you cannot tell them apart unless you live with them and you know their annoying bad habits, sixth oldest Vanessa but she goes by Vive she is eight years old, seventh oldest child is Isaac seven years old, and Aurelio making him the baby in the family six years old. It's a loud family but a every happy family.
"Mom I am hungry," Vivi whined as she sat down at her seat.
"Mom, don't forget I will be living in two days."
"Why are you going?" Lily asked.
"How about I kick you ass."
"Logan language!"
"If it isn't my lovely family!" A man shouted from down the hallway and his wife pulled on her husband's ear who whined out and dropped his breakfast sandwich.
"Aurelio today is a big day for you don't you know that?" The beautiful woman said to her son in a gentle manner.
Aurelio mouth was full of food and Aurelio eyes widen. Yes today is a big day! It's finally time for his awakening!
"I AM FINALLY GOING TO BEAT MY SIBLINGS!"
"Keep on dreaming," Isaac said and he grabbed the last bacon.
"Humph Isaac you have lost to me many times."
"You want to go!?" Isaac asked.
"Isaac," both parents snapped and Isaac looked away and he cleared his throat and he held out his hand as if he was trying to say something but Aurelio just walked forward and patted his brother back.
"It's okay even though you are a loser this brother still loves you."
"Tsk just you wait I am pissed I am going to go and play with my friends!" Isaac shouted.
"Such a loser," Lily said and she stood up and looked at her brother.
"Well mom I am going to go outside my friends are waiting for me."
"Come on Aurelio we got the appointment for your awakening," The man said. Aurelio's father was a middle aged man who was well built he was handsome he has gray eyes he wore a white shirt and black jeans. When he took his son outside there was a flouting car that was waiting for them. This car was white when the middle aged man Noah held out his hand the car unlocked itself and the door popped open. Noah put his son in the back seat and buckled him up when he sat in the front all he did was touch the blue screen in front of him and typed the place he wanted to go and the car started backing up by itself as it started turning to left it it would stop when it was time to stop.
"Son do you know anything about Resonance Spirit and the nine attribute elements?" Noah asked his son. Aurelio was a extremely handsome young boy with his large grayish bluish eyes his thick black short hair some that fall on his face he pushed his hand over his forward and he gently smiled brightly.
"Isn't something so cool that only the four legendary heroes also have?"
"Yes you can say that but each person's Resonance Spirit and nine attribute elements are different. Let's start off with Resonance Spirit, Resonance Spirit comes from someone's bloodline, you inherit this type of Resonance Spirit, Resonance Spirit can be anything from a simple hoe, pen, paper, weapon, or even something legendary like a warrior but of course one should have a strong bloodline to awaken a warrior and it should be passed down from their family at list once in a life time, your mother Resonance Spirit is Ice Angel Sword, your brother Hannah, Mike, Jessica, and Vivi have that Resonance Spirit it also means that their body can handle the cold much better then your sister Lily, Isaac, and Mike. Your brother Logan awakens something that happens every once in the while in both families which is twin Resonance Spirit, but let's not get into this right now as I am saying all the kids have different Resonance Spirit but it also means their levels and strength is different from each other just because you have the same Resonance Spirit it doesn't mean you understand it better then the other person. In the future you will meet people with extraordinary Resonance Spirit, but also people with weak Resonance Spirit but never judge a book by there cover do you understand me?"
Aurelio listened to his father's words carefully like it was the last thing he would.
"I understand dad I will listen carefully."
"That's more like it now attributes elements, fire, water, earth, air, lightning, wood, mental, light, and darkness."
Fire
Fire is usually an offensive element that can come in many colors from green to purple. It's usually shown as red, orange or blue.
If you're using Fire and want to use it beyond just another projectile then you could give the magic to someone that reflects the element.
He/She could be passionate or quick to anger but that's only the explosive side of fire. The other side is a deep fury or determination to finish a goal. This causes the flame to be more focused and less explosive.
Water
Water has many forms and is not bound to one shape making it very adaptable.
It's forms are Ice, Water, Snow and even Vapor which can branch off into Air Magic.
It can used for solid defense or overwhelming power when condensed into a water blade. Also, Water Magic can expand to all forms of liquid like: Blood, Sweat, Oil, Poison/Acid and maybe even liquid metal.
A water control person would be cool, calm and collected maybe even the smart one in the party. The character doesn't need to be like this from the start, it can be a point of character development.
Air
Like Water, this is an element of change but less so. Air has 2 modes; peaceful gales and raging hurricanes.
Earth
When it comes to physical combat and defense few elements can compete with Earth.
This element can manipulate the Earth and advance users can manipulate all types of materials like:
Crystals
Mud
Sand
Ash and more
This element is used for powerful blunt offense but the element is mostly used for defense.
Creating walls of earth to block attacks or encasing the user in stone skin. When it comes to the strongest Earth spells, then Lava is also an option when you combine Earth with Fire.
Mental
This element is either an improvement on Earth or a sub-element under Earth. Metal can be used in the same manner as Earth but it's more malleable and thus can be faster.
It can even go into a liquid form and do some of the stuff that Water can do like liquid metal whips and suffocation.
It can be an upgrade from Earth because of metals like Titanium which better for defense.
Let's also not forget that if the mage is in the medieval times they can manipulate the armor and weapons used.
Lightning
Lightning advanced form of Fire and the second fastest element to use. Besides bolts and balls, the magic can transform you into lightning to move at amazing speeds.
There's even magic that allows you to manipulate the Lightning in any form like a whip, sword, armor or animal.
Lightning just like Fire can be of many colors like Red, Yellow and Blue.
Wood
This is very connected to Earth Magic and usually spells that use wood and nature fall under Earth Magic. This element is all about the nature of the planet that the user is on.
Because of this, depending on your story a Nature Mage can use all the element excluding metal.
It also means that if the user is on another planet, its unique nature would have different spell possibilities.
Now when it comes to the normal usage, it's used for capturing enemies using roots and veins.
For offense the roots can be used as whips to lash opponents or you can use poison from some plants.
If that was not enough, Mages that use Nature magic are naturally good at summoning Golems and Nature Sprites.
Mage that uses Nature are usually depicted as wise and calm people that of course love or respect nature.
Darkness
Arguably the most powerful elements, so much so that they can be considered Divine Magic.
Light is the fastest magic while Darkness is the most traditionally evil.
Normal usage of these elements is nothing special.
Darkness can manipulate and merge with shadows while Light can create light constructs and shoot lasers.
But when you delve deeper, the abilities they can become really Overpowered.
Darkness
This terrifying element can:
Create black holes
Manipulate the dark portions of one's personality
Smother light sources
Raise the dead
Turn invisible (which light can do too)
Depending how you stretch what Darkness means, it can do many things. Another unique power of Darkness is that it can potentially use the other elements by corrupting them.
Examples included Dark Fire, Purple lightning, Poisoned Earth.
Light
This magic type can:
Heal
Create illusions
Allow Light speed Movement
Cancel out necromancy
Sometimes even call down stars!
The options might not be as vast as Darkness but it is just as powerful and deadly to those who use Darkness.
There is some overlap too like both can give flight to the user but Light is shown to do that more.
As you can see, these two elements can cross with other magic types depending on how far you want to take it.
Summon/ Sprite
Sprites and Summons that are heavily connected to the elements.
When a mage masters an element they can befriend a Sprite or learn to summon something related to their element.
I'm just going to go into the generally depicted summons and then explain what a Sprite is.
Fire- Dragons or more rarely a Phoenix
Water- Leviathans, Krakens or Mermaids
Air- Griffons or Large Birds (Falcons or the Roc)
Earth- Stone Golems or Giants
Lightning- Rajins or Thunderbirds
Metal- Metal Golems
Nature- Wood Golems or Ents (Living Trees)
Darkness/Light- Demons/Angels (Probably not high level ones)
"Sprites are generally embodiments of one element. There are many of them and they vary in size but from the ones I've seen they are small fairy-like beings.
Those particular gifted in an element can form close relationships with a sprite. This relation will gift the mage with a partner and magic enhancer. Nothing more to say on that matter. Son do you understand?"
"I understand dad, they are nine elements fire, water, air, earth, wood, lightning mental, light, darkness, plus summon, and sprite if I am not wrong with summon it's rare but you can also make contracts with those elements that are connected to you right?"
"I used so much words yet you court on so fast."
"Hehe of course I would who wouldn't pay attention to their dad?"
"Well we are in Daso Town now," Noah said he gently rubbed his son's head who made a cute face and he sat his car toy down. His eyes sparked with much excitement even though his dad explained all of this to him to Aurelio he knows this because his siblings always brag about awakening their Resonance Spirit and they always use their attribute element. To Aurelio this is something he has been waiting for.
