Chereads / Xianxia: Nine chances / Chapter 27 - Li Jun's Dillema (II)

Chapter 27 - Li Jun's Dillema (II)

Taking a closer look at the region the tree was located, Li Jun narrowed his eyes.

"How come I didn't notice it all this time." He was already starting to rethink his previous plan.

Getting himself involved was no different from seeking death, it was a fact. The current state of his mortal physique was incapable of walking out of the central zone the fruit tree was growing.

"Damn! This is another one of those situations that can get one killed for overestimating their abilities." He thought of any tricks that could allow him to walk towards the tree but nothing was coming to mind.

Even his level 55 intelligence was useless.

The magma below him was not as dormant as he had thought.

Boom!

He could see the area around the tree had small holes that kept erupting and closing after every few minutes.

The situation on the side of the water was not idea either, it was too cold, considering part of the lava that was splashed over become frozen before it could even land.

In any way, he was glad he had realized this, but it also meant he had no way to gain access to the fruit in the middle of the magma and cold water pond.

"If I could consume this fruit, my gains might probably be beyond anyone's understanding. But the current situation does not allow or can it be possible for me to even get close." He was in deep thought about his next move.

Regardless of how he looked at things, he was already in a dillema.

Having something good before you and being incapable of getting your hands on it was frustrating.

He was uneasy and the memories from the other timeline seemed to be incapable of helping him at all.

He had already started to get used to the fact that those memories might act as an advantage at some point, but it was not yet.

In fact the nine chances was the only thing that interested him more, and he had no actual idea what they where. He only rembered this, and even the source of this information was something he had no idea.

Within the next moment after the magma below the small fruit tree calmed down, he realized the tree was not affected in the slightest.

It was shocking, after all it had existed in such an environment even allowed for a fruit to come out, how could it be easy to destroy.

He was just uneasy because of the information they had seen in the class.

It is said that the eruption from a volcano is so terrifying that it can level half of the sector. This information is not baseless, rather it is taken from events that have already taken place.

It is not the only one, other natural disaster level events like this have happened and the reason the sector lords came into being was to provide weak humans with some safe place to stay. The Sector lords are after all the only ones with enough capabilities to calm down natural disasters with their own power.

One can thus imagine just how powerful they really are, the power at this level is not possed by everyone.

It is even the same reason those that managed to reach their level as the only ones allowed to set up cities.

The wilderness is too vast and having more regions occupied by humans is a good thing. But above them is the strongest man alive. He is considered a legend, but Li Jun was not naive enough to still believe this.

He also held the belief that the person was just too strong, otherwise the sector lords would have turned the sectors into their family domain.

As he was still lost in thought, the area around him shook slightly, and he could feel the ground around him making small explosive sounds.

"This place is kept in balance by the cold water on the other side, there is a probability that things would not end well if it was only the magma in this place. Regardless of the reason, I have to retreat. Nothing I do could change anything. This place is dangerous and could end up costing my life. As for that fruit, I have no fate with it." He was very sober.

So what if he could see it, his ability was lacking.

Just a simple explosion from the pent up magma under him would destroyed him. He was even certain that the cold water on the other side was just as bad for him.

It would be no different from experiencing a doomsday event.

He even had doubts about his ability to withstand the energy from the fruit. This thought was stupid though, as the treasures of heaven and earth in the form of fruits are the most easier to consume.

The reason for this was simple, even with stronger power contained within them, anyone would be able to survive consuming them.

This is because the excess energy would just leave the body through the pores and other means.

Only when one tries to stop it, can there be danger, or if one is stronger enough to have attained a leakage free body.

This is impossible for the current Li Jun and even the attempt of stopping the energy from escaping a dream.

For one to accomplish this, they have to be strong enough to be able to control every inch of their bodies.

Once this is accomplished, another major issue comes into play, the quality of the fruit.

It does not matter if one wanted to block energy inside their bodies, the energy in itself had to meat the requirements.

He was just unnerved by the roars coming from under him, and he knew it was just the sound of the compressed pressure.

It eventually managed to release some of heat compressed, but it was incapable of making much waves within the proximity of the colds.

Boom!

Boom!

He was lucky, it was happening further from his position, but he was clear on the situation present in this place.

Two forces kept restraining each other, but it did not mean he was willing to risk it by staying in this place.

Even though reason had it that this place was going to remain in the same state for a long time, he was not able to control his thoughts.

Numerous absurd thoughts in his head did make him of the vote to leave this place.

"My intuition is right! Regardless of how good the things in this cave are, my incapability to gain access to them is true." He was able to see through this and retreated several steps back.

He had no idea how this place had formed and finding out about it was probably a good thing for him.

He might be able to improve his inteligence level, unfortunately he was not in the mood for exploration, nor did he have the capabilities to accomplish this task.

He didn't have any clear information about the state of this ruin, and he had to find a way out for himself real quick or death from hunger was not the only thing he had to worry about.

In the begining, he wanted to just rest, but the condition in the ruins was making him uneasy, he didn't feel any change in temperature.

But he was unwilling to stay around to find out, perhaps by then, the price he would have to pay would go beyond his ability.

"The chances out there are just as okay! Who knows, maybe it will become possible for me to get something even better." As he thought of this, the desire to retreat increased.

He could not be blamed, for the current state he was in, getting out was like the only option for him.

It did not seem like he would lose anything at all, but part of him was very much willing to take the risk.

Regardless of how he looked at things, it was not normal for the temperature in this cave to remain the same.

Something was not right, this part of him also made him unwilling to just bolt out of the cave.

From the moment he entered this cave, it was a massive change, obviously something about the cave was not right.

The barrier he passed through could not have been formed naturally.

He did lack any evidence to base this thoughts on, but even so, his intuition was telling him to not retreat, rather move forward.

Thinking about how he got in this place, his mind was in a trance.

"Regardless of how I look at things, my situation does not seem ideal. Perhaps it would have been simple to lie to myself, but my high intelligence level already indicates the chances of survival without any source of energy for me are on the decline." He could feel it, the chance he was thinking about on the outside required him to be alive.

With his state, it would be a mirracle to last that long.

It seemed his thoughts had entered a dillema.
