Although she had an idea as to why they had come to the chapel, she chose not to speak but rather, she looked at Richard who said,
"We are here for marriage. We are here to exchange our vows."
At that moment, Lilith did not know how to feel about the rush decision that was mostly made by him but again, there was that part of her that felt happy that he respected her wishes.
When the two started to follow the priest who had not uttered a word, Richard turned to look at her. His eyes usually held no emotions in them but there was a way in which he looked at her that made her heart to skip.
"Do your families even know about this?" It was the priest who inquired and Richard did not hesitate to answer,
"Their opinions do not matter to us."
When he said that, he meant each and every word because to him, the only person who mattered was her and he was not going to allow anyone to tear them apart.
