Caught by surprise, Lilith took a quick step backwards but with the questioning look on lady Amara that was also filled with disapproval, she tried to find words.
"I came.. looking for you and when you did not answer, I thought that you might be resting."
Though her explanation made no sense to the lady, she only nodded and Lilith felt relieved.
"What is the pressing matter that caused you to come here?" The lady questioned.
"I wanted to spend some time with you before dinner."
She stuttered.
By the look of it, lady Amara was not pleased by her unannounced presence and although she tried to hide her thoughts, Lilith could tell that she was angry.
"Lilith, I need to be alone for a while." Lady Amara calmly said and since she had been caught doing something wrong, she quickly nodded and left.
On closing lady Amara's room, she stood there for a while trying to pick any sound that would appear suspicious but then there was none.
