"You are just amazing. Do you know that?"
Richard broke their silence.
Lilith smiled at his words and then said, "I am not good at taking compliments."
"It's not a compliment. It's a fact."
Staying in his arms that felt like home for a while, they finally withdrew from each other.
Hours had long passed and the afternoon sun was now replaced by an evening warmth that came with a soft breeze to cool the lands.
Lilith was the first one to leave the room and when she was about to go to her chamber, she met lady Amara who was speaking to the head butler but upon seeing her, the lady dismissed the butler.
Walking towards Lilith, lady Amara embraced her. "Oh goodness. You don't know how relieved I am to know that you are safe."
The woman said after a hug.
She had made all the efforts possible to search for her but with her resources that were limited, she had to depend on what she heard from Richard and others.
