Chapter 61 - Teachers Meeting Conclusion

All eyes dropped toward the sexy teacher who was twirling the side of her hair as she minded her own world, lost in her own thoughts. Sensing that all eyes suddenly dropped her way, she cleared her throat and straightened her back, trying to regain her composure.

She looked toward the deputy principal who asked her a question.

"I think we should hear both sides of the story before we jump to any conclusions," Miss Jiang said, her voice firm and steady.

"No! We must punish the perpetrator now or our school's reputation will be tarnished if we let this kind of student off the hook," Zang Wei retorted, his face flushed with anger.

"Hold on, Teacher Zang. Why the rush? We need to get to the root cause of the issue to prevent it from happening again. And let's not label student Yuan Kai as a perpetrator as if he's now some kind of evil criminal. As his homeroom teacher, I know him well, and he's not the kind of person who would just randomly beat someone without a reason," Miss Jiang said, her voice calm but assertive.

'I've been observing and monitoring him to plan on how to make him notice my charm, so I know him very well', she added silently in her mind.

"If Mr. Kang is correct, then it's a different story. It might have been self-defense if Student Wang was bullying his fellow classmates. There are multiple first-year students with bruises and bandages, and it seems like Student Wang has been bullying them since the start of the school year. Oddly enough, the homeroom teacher seems to have turned a blind eye to this bullying. I wonder why?" Miss Jiang said, curling her lips upward and giving Teacher Zhang a knowing look.

Hearing Miss Jiang's statement, Teacher Zhang wanted to retort but there's no words coming out. He and his partners in crime looked crestfallen. She was right. There were plenty of witnesses who had seen Wang Mang bully the first-year students, especially Xia Chen. Xia Chen's face was always covered in bandaid and his body with bandages, as if his wounds and bruises were not healing at all. Rumor had it that Wang Mang had made Xia Chen his lackey and would beat him up just to vent his frustration.

The number of witnesses and the united front the first-year students had formed to support Yuan Kai in this case made it clear that this was no simple matter that could be brushed off with their authority as teachers. A thorough investigation was necessary. And if this were investigated, all the hidden agendas and pocket money they received from Wang Mang's father to cover up his son's actions would also come to light.

When Miss Jiang saw the other party fall silent, she couldn't help but smirk, her smugness evident on her face. She knew she had them right where she wanted them.

'Hmph! Fools! You really think you can target my student? Well, I've got news for you, it's over my dead body!'

Mr. Kang, one of the other teachers, couldn't help but join in, his voice filled with admiration. "Hahaha! As expected of the best teacher who has risen immediately just after teaching for a year. You indeed think about your students' future first before anything else!"

The deputy principal nodded in agreement, his approval evident on his face, and the other teachers followed suit, showering her with praise. They all knew that her beauty played a role, but her achievements couldn't be ignored. After all, her class, which had been the lowest ranked the previous year, had now become class 1 under her guidance.

All the students in her class had suddenly shot up in the rankings, consistently placing in the top 100 in every exam. Even the student who had been the lowest ranked before had moved up. The other teachers were all puzzled, dying to know her secret, but whenever they asked, she would simply reply with a mysterious smile and the words, "A secret makes a woman, woman." She kept her methods to herself, and no one could figure out how she did it.

Little did they know, her class was so well-trained that they seemed more like obedient dogs than students. At the sound of her whistle, they knew exactly what to do and what not to do. The only student who remained unaffected by her charm and spell was her favorite student, Yuan Kai. And now, these fools were trying to expel him? What a joke! How on earth would she be able to charm him if he wasn't even in school?

As the meeting reached a conclusion with Miss Jiang's statement, it was decided that they would have a meeting with all the students involved and Wang Mang's father present as well.

As Kai reached the school gate and stepped inside, he couldn't help but feel that all eyes were suddenly on him. It was odd because it was almost time for the first period, so there shouldn't be many students lingering around the entrance. Yet, there they were, a lot of students, as if they were earnestly waiting for someone. Kai's curiosity got the better of him, and he noticed a guy who immediately bolted away as soon as their eyes met. Ignoring the weird encounter, Kai's attention shifted towards Mr. Zhou.

"Mr. Zhou, is this what you were talking about?" Kai asked, his interest piqued.

"That's just a small part of it. If you want to see the whole picture, head to your classroom. You'll soon find out," Mr. Zhou smirked and then entered the guard house, living with Yuan Kai and Uncle Hao.

Turning to Uncle Hao, he said, "Uncle Hao, it seems that we need to take a detour before we go to the faculty office."

Uncle Hao shrugged off any inconvenience. "No worries, I've cleared my schedule for the day."

"But Uncle Hao, were those meetings really important?" Kai asked.

Smiling warmly, Uncle Hao assured him, "Trust me, helping you out is worth more than any meeting. Besides, I'm your uncle, it's my duty to support you. You should know by now how your Master works. Remember, anytime you need help, just ask."

Kai nodded. "Thank you, Uncle Hao. Your kind words mean a lot to me. I'll make sure to return the favor if you ever need my help." Kai said, grateful for his uncle's unwavering support,

Uncle Hao chuckled, accepting the offer. "I'll take that offer in the future then," Uncle Hao said. He didn't deny Kai as he might really need his help in the future.

With their conversation concluded, they resumed their journey, following the path where the mysterious fleeing student had disappeared to.
