Chapter 51 - Boxing Moves

When the two beauties, Reika and Mae Ling, saw that Kai had ended the phone call, they hurriedly approached him. Their worried expressions were evident on their faces as they reached him. Sensing their concern, Kai warmly wrapped his arms around both of them and planted a gentle kiss on each of their cheeks.

"Are you okay?" Reika asked, a trace of worry still present in her voice.

"Hm," Kai nodded, his smile radiating reassurance and comfort.

Suddenly, Kai tightly hugged the two girls, relishing the feeling of their soft bodies pressed against his. It was as if he wanted them to melt and become one with him. Initially taken aback by Kai's sudden affection, both Reika and Mae Ling gladly returned the embrace. As they did, they heard Kai whisper softly into their ears.

"Thank you for coming into my life," Kai said, tears welling up in the corners of his eyes.

Though Kai always tried to appear tough, the encounter with Rick had shaken him to the core. The fear of unintentionally causing harm to either of them weighed heavily on his mind, making him want to punish himself. However, with Rick's guidance and the constant presence of Mae Ling and Rei, his fear began to dissipate significantly. He wanted to show them just how grateful he was for their presence in his life.

Mae Ling caught sight of Kai's tear and gently wiped it away with her finger, before licking it playfully. "You're acting really strange, Senior Brother. What's going on?" she asked, curiosity evident in her voice.

Kai simply smiled and shook his head. "Nothing at all, I just want to express my gratitude for having both of you by my side," he replied.

Sensing that the turmoil within Kai was easing, Reika let out a sigh of relief and tightened her embrace around him.

"Kai-kun, don't bear everything alone. If you ever need help, just tell us," Reika said, her voice filled with sincerity.

"Alright. From now on, I promise to share everything," Kai said, reassuring Rei.

Kai started telling them that he planned to use a technique to help Mae Ling learn Martial Arts faster, and Rick's response also shook the girls. They now understand Kai's situation better. When they think that their beloved man will be the reason why they end up feeling soulless or end up being retarded, they don't know what to do. They try to put themselves in his shoes and feel the same as him.

Mae Ling started to sob when she heard it. It was all because she asked Kai to teach her to become stronger, which almost led her beloved prince charming to do something that could ruin her and make her beloved prince life terrible.

Wanting to comfort her, Kai and Reika assured Mae Ling that nothing bad had happened and nothing would ever happen without discussing it together and gaining the approval of everyone involved.

To lighten the mood, the three of them began playfully flirting with each other, creating an atmosphere filled with love and affection. Even the flowers in the surrounding area seemed to respond, swaying gently in the breeze as if dancing to their joyful connection.

After a while of diverting their attention, Kai finally brings the conversation back to the reason why they came here in the first place.

"Alright! Mae Ling, let's get started with your training," Kai said, addressing the eager young girl.

Turning his attention to Rei, he continued, "Rei, I think it would be best to speak with your grandfather before we decide if you should learn other martial arts. I don't want it to negatively impact your swordsmanship later on and have any regrets."

Reika, having become cautious after the earlier incident, agreed with Kai's suggestion. She didn't want to risk compromising her swordsmanship by hastily learning a new fighting style. So she just watches them on the side.

Curiosity shining in her eyes, Mae Ling asked, "What are you going to teach me, Senior Brother?"

Kai pondered for a moment before answering, "Hmm, let's start with some basic boxing."

Mae Ling, excited by the prospect, immediately mimicked a boxer's stance she had seen on social media. Her punches may have been sloppy, but the power behind them was undeniable due to her enhanced body from cultivation. It made Kai wonder what she could achieve with proper training.

Kai chuckled and remarked, "Oh, so you already have some knowledge of boxing?"

Mae Ling blushed and replied, "Hehe, I just copied the moves from a video I saw online."

Impressed, Kai patted her head and said, "That's good. Now, I'll teach you the proper fundamentals of boxing. Let's start with the jab."

"Jab?" Mae Ling tilted her head and questioned.

Kai explained, "It's a quick punch that can be very useful in a fight. The jab is considered the most important punch in boxing, and it's usually the first one beginners learn. There's a famous saying in the boxing world: 'The person who controls the left controls the world.' It's actually the first technique I learned too."

"Really? That's awesome! I'm super pumped to learn the first move that Senior Brother mastered!" Mae Ling practically bounced with excitement.

"Okay, okay. Take it easy. Are you right-handed or left-handed?" Kai asked, trying to reign in Mae Ling's enthusiasm.

"I'm right-handed!" Mae Ling exclaimed, holding up her small right fist.

Kai nodded knowingly. "Alright, I'll teach you how to throw a left jab."

With lightning speed, Kai threw a series of jabs, creating a swooshing sound as his fists sliced through the air. Mae Ling watched in awe, trying to absorb every move.

"Now, give it a shot," Kai instructed.

Mae Ling imitated Kai's movements, but her jab felt different. Unlike Kai's relaxed fist, hers was clenched tightly. She repeated the motion, feeling frustrated at her slow and soundless jabs.

"Why does your jab make that swooshing sound, but mine doesn't? And why does it feel slower?" Mae Ling asked, clearly confused.

Kai couldn't help but chuckle. "Haha! That sound effect will come naturally as you practice your jab over and over again, thousands of times."

"Thousand times? Seriously?" Mae Ling's eyes widened in disbelief.

"Absolutely! But let's not worry about that right now," Kai assured her, stepping closer to adjust her stance.

"Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart, knees slightly bent, and your non-dominant foot and hand in front. Always jab with your lead hand. A good boxing stance is crucial for a powerful punch. It provides a sturdy foundation to generate strength and speed," Kai explained, moving Mae Ling's limbs into the correct position.

After Kai finished aligning her stance, Mae Ling took a moment to catch her breath. Her face flushed, not due to the training, but due to the unexpected proximity to Kai.

"What's up, Mae Ling? Why is your face so red?" Kai teased mischievously.

Of course, Kai knows why she's breathing like this, as he uses this chance to turn her switches a little.

Blushing, Mae Ling stammered, "N-nothing. What's next?"

Kai let the topic slide, resuming his instruction. "When you throw a jab, don't clench your fist too tightly. It'll make your muscles tense. To increase the speed of your jab, you need to relax your muscles and loosen your fist, like this. Look closely at my left fist."

Mae Ling focused intently on Kai's hand, determined to master the technique and avoid any distractions.

Swoosh! Swoosh!

Kai demonstrated a series of jabs to Mae Ling repeatedly, ensuring that she understood the technique before attempting it herself. After observing and practicing for a few minutes, Mae Ling's jabs began to take shape.

Ding! First move complete! (1 / 5)

"Yes! Senior Brother! I did it!" Mae Ling exclaimed, bubbling with excitement as she confidently threw a series of jabs at Kai's outstretched palm.

"Good job, Mae Ling! Just as I expected," Kai praised her, pulling her close for a warm hug, followed by a passionate kiss that made both of their hearts race.

Reika shook her head upon seeing this scene, and a tinge of jealousy surfaced in her heart. However, she just shrugged it off, as she will solo Kai later in bed and sleep together.

It was also a reward for her cute little sister, doing her best in training.

After a brief moment, they broke apart, with Kai ready to move on to the next lesson.

"Next, I'll teach you how to throw a straight punch," Kai said, his voice dripping with anticipation.

Throughout the training session, Kai patiently guided Mae Ling through each technique, focusing on correct stance, weight distribution, and waist rotation to maximize power. He taught her how to switch the weight of her body and turn her waist in, as well as how to turn her shoulder when she throws her fist to deliver a powerful straight punch.

The third move was a one-two combination, which involved a jab followed by a straight punch, but with more speed. The fourth move focused on defensive movements of her upper body, such as slipping left and right and using the defensive move called Philly Shell. This move involved rolling her shoulder like the legendary defensive boxer Floyd Moneyweather.

The fifth move was the uppercut, which is the best punch for a smaller fighter like Mae Ling. With her fist positioned at the side of her stomach, she throws an upward punch with her dominant arm while twisting her waist counter-clockwise. She ends the throw in front with her arm bent at a 90-degree angle and by stomping her right foot while bending, she can send the force from her feet towards her mid-body, delivering a powerful uppercut. She can also use this punch to deliver a body blow, causing her enemy to vomit.

After training for a couple of hours, Mae Ling finally learned 5 moves from Kai, completing the Chain Quest.

Ding! Congratulations on clearing the Chain Quest: Mae Ling's Training.

Reward: [Legendary] Fist of Destruction.
