Chapter 1 - I Refuse To Live In This Flawed World

"Raizel, stop daydreaming out the window and pay attention!"

The classroom erupted with lively laughter when Miss Smith, our homeroom teacher, scolded me for sitting in the back corner and not paying attention, instead gazing out of the window.

I, who was gazing idly out of the window, quickly redirected my attention to the teacher and casually replied, "My bad, Miss Smith."

Miss Smith let out a deep breath and shook her head in exasperation before commenting, "I can't help but wonder what's happening with you lately. Usually, you are focused during class, but now you appear exhausted and drowsy."

Subsequently, the teacher continued to talk incessantly while the words went passed my head. I disregarded it completely, as I was preoccupied with my own thoughts on a different matter.

I go by the name of Raizel Drakulic, age 16 and standing at approximately 6 feet and 3 inches tall. I am afflicted with an extremely uncommon condition known as "Fulbino", which causes the hair on my body to turn as white as snow and my eyes to appear red like newly spilled blood.

You may wonder why I was so immersed in thought.

In simpler terms, a few months ago I came to the understanding that this world is flawed and unjust.

Why do you ask?..... it should be obvious already.

The current state of our world is characterized by a significant amount of injustice and a high level of inequality.

Do you believe that I am over exaggerating? You might most likely think, "He's only a child, he lacks knowledge and understanding." Or something along the lines of, "You haven't experienced the realities of life, so it's not your position to pass judgment."

Wake up, because those who characterise knowledge based on age are ignorant both to themselves and others.

The acquisition of knowledge and understanding can occur as an individual's mind matures, and the timing of this development can differ from person to person. I have personally witnessed adults displaying childlike behavior, while there are children who exhibit greater maturity than some adults.

So is it unusual for me to have thoughts on this matter?

Returning to the point I was making earlier before I got distracted..

....

When considering more thoroughly, it becomes evident that the global economic condition is in a state of uncertainty, with a tendency for the wealthy to become wealthier while the poor become even poorer. This phenomenon is observable in contemporary society through the unequal distribution of resources, including healthcare, education, and even the criminal justice system, where financial means heavily influence outcomes.

Are you aware that every year, more than 8 million individuals across the globe lose their lives or become homeless due to a lack of financial means or resources to survive?

However, we continue to engage in foolish conflicts with each other, exactly as the wealthier and more powerful individuals desire.

The more we struggle, the more wealth they accumulate, through corruption and injustice, while we remain ignorant and deceived, failing to recognize the truth. We are all living in a mere illusion.

It is truly remarkable that individuals who may have a different appearance or hold different beliefs can be completely marginalized by society simply for expressing their own valid opinions. Society seems to be deeply offended by harmless personal opinions, yet remains apathetic towards criminals who escape punishment for murder and they fail to address the current state of the world.

What truly frustrates and angers me is the fact that individuals in positions of authority have the power and skills to modify laws and rules in society for the better. However, they willingly opt not to do so in order to prioritize their own selfish desires and maintain their position of power.

If the decision was in my hands, I would eliminate individuals like them completely.

The sudden discovery of magic among humans around 50 years ago doesn't improve the situation.

Suprising isn't it? How could human discover something like magic, well thats another thing.. nobody knows.

There are individuals who possess the ability to effortlessly throw buildings, run faster than light, and possess extraordinary skills and abilities, thus making what was once considered impossible now achievable. One would assume that the discovery of such powers would lead to an improvement in the world's economic and dire conditions. However, the opposite has occurred.

In addition to the existing corruption and unfairness, these individuals now possess unimaginable magical capabilities.

However, whenever there are villains, there will always be noble heroes ready to step in and restore equilibrium.

Currently there are highly empowered terrorists who are freely moving around the world, causing significant chaos. Unfortunately, it is impossible for heroes to be present in multiple places simultaneously.

Every single day, every hour, and every second, I constantly remind myself that I will not conform to the norm and settle for a flawed world. There is not a single moment when I don't have the urge to bring about a transformation.

Ringgg! Ringg! Ring!

"Class dismissed!"

At the sound of the loud evening bell, Miss Smith dismissed us from our final class period.
