Chapter 1 - Chapter I: Ballet I Shall Do..

I breathed the air and sighed a healthy yet raspy sigh. My name is Tera Galore and I am 12 years old. I am on the verge of death for tiring reasons but you can't blame me for it. I had a part time job which I used to help with our family expenses and yes, I'm working.. It was a Saturday afternoon when I got to the bridge- the Tillamook bridge soecifically. The redish brown brick of its youth shined mellowly with a duet; the blue, calming river. I stared down and saw my reflection and some sea creatures swimming by. My face was scratched from falling yesterday and my hands were slightly sore from holding all those heavy boxes. I raised my head and glanced across the river as it moved calmly. I sighed again.

"What should I do right now?"

I asked myself, staring into something I didn't know I was staring at even though it's a void of nothingness. I held tight onto my sidebag and walked away. The air blew on my face and I felt the tingles of my skin move to the beat of the sun's striking yet warm rays. It was a questionable Saturday. I haven't laid down for a while and I feel so tired and weak I could fall down. I sat by a tree and exhaled audibly- Which everyone passing my chuckled and giggled because I was a kid.

"You alright?"

I gazed up and saw this dark skinned woman with blue eyes and a beautiful sense of fasion.

"I'm just tired ma'am.. I've been this way for quite a while but don't worry I'm fine."

"Would you like something to eat then?"

She asked and immediately I got off the bench and sat up right as if I had fallen asleep. She chuckled and gave me a paper bag. My face lit up for a moment and I gazed at her with furrowed brows.

"Do I have to pay?"

I asked with a bit of disappointment because my money was on the verge of dying- And so was I.

"Oh no no no!"

She laughed softly

"It's for free. I'm giving it to you because you look exhausted and.. No one wanted to have it so.. here..."

I gleamed at her and hugged her.

"Thank you ma'am!"

I let go of her and she smiles softly.

"What's your name?"

"I'm Tera Galore. What about you ma'am?

She smiled with her eyes and lips and brushed back her braid

"Nora Anderson. Nice to meet you"

She smiled again and lent out a hand to be shaken, which, I did happily. I decided to leave since I couldn't afford waiting for too long and she was anticipating to see me any time soon. I got home and I was not expecting a greeting.. A Governmental greeting. There was a Lawyer seated at the hall with my mother. They were chatting about something and I could tell that she was crying. My sister saw me and motioned I'd walk with her to the Kitchen so that she'd explain things to me. And when she did, my belly flipped so hard I thought I'd have stopmach pains.

"What?!"

I half whispered to her. She told us to whisper because the Lawyer wasn't the only one who came.

"What do you mean they want us to move?! We got here like a year or two ago!"

"I know! It's stupid isn't it?"

She winced on the thought of leaving the area and sighed. If we were to leave, they would cost us some financial problems. I sighed and leaned on the counter.

"So what are we supposed to do then? Pack up and leave just like that?! I'm not leaving this place until I'm-"

I paused. We both turned to the door and overheard the man speak.

"So, what are you going to do about it Mrs Galore? Are you going to leave or you have another idea you might try?"

"Oh Mr James.."

She sobbed silently. We both stood at the door and peeped through the hole. She gazed up at him and spoke

"What should I do? I'm scared. Oh, where should I go? I can't go back to Bellerwood! It's too far from my children's school"

"Well.. there's one thing you could try.."

The Lawyer spoke scrolling through his phone. He clicked on something and showed it to my mother and she was soeechless. She gazed up at him and down on the phone again. My mother was young. She gave birth at a very premature age.. 18 and she's 28 now while I'm 12 and Katie, my only eldest sister, is 23. Her husband left her after realizing my mother's womb was weak and she can't bear any more children and since that day, she has grown to rely on herself but now.. I think she needs a man by her side to comfort her.

"Ballet?"

"Ballet."

"Ballet?!"

I gazed at Katie who stared back at me with a rather confused expression. Ballet's going to help us? Oh, okay since it has a hell of money given out but is expensive as hell.

"But how sir? None of my kids are good at it"

"But it depends on age and how well they'll be able to do it. Do you, perhaps, have a younger child?"

Me James asked. My mother gazed at the hole in the ajar door and gazed back at him. Before we knew it, one of the Black suited men grabbed me and yanked me to the hall. I didn't have time to scream nor did I have time to shriek when he grabbed me. All I realized was that I was at the living room. In the middle of the living room.

"He seems like he could do it."

Mr James suggested. My mother gazed at me and then at Mr James. That was the look of "Are you sure he can do it?" And somehow he responded with a nod as if to know what she was trying to say.

"Alright... Tera... We're signing you up.."

And from that day, my life changed forever..
