Alexandra family crisis
Alexandra arrived at her father's office and is shocked to see what a mess it has become, Arthur stood in the middle of the mess and sighed relieved when he sees his daughter walking towards him.
"Dad what happened?" she questioned and rushed over to him, the father and daughter hugged each other tightly
Alexandra has stayed at Ethan's place for the last one week and only returned home tonight to celebrate their admission at her place because of Ethan's brother presence in the house, he is serving as the vice president of the country and is a very strict person who won't allow them to party however they like
Alexandra studied her father and it seems like he has lost some weight in just a few days which gets her worried, they both took the elevator up to her father's office and there she made a cup of coffee for him and made him sit down
"Dad can you tell me what is going on now?" she questioned again when her father is calm and took a seat beside him
"We might have to apply for bankruptcy" he begin
Alexandra's jaw dropped hearing that and she is clueless as to why her father's company that has been doing alright for so long will suddenly go under. She turn away from her father and looked back at him for more explanation
"I took a huge amount of money out from the company to invest in your uncle's business but it flopped and he ran away after that, I tried getting in touch with him but no one knows where he has disappeared to and am stuck with a huge debt" he explained further and held his throbbing head.
Although Alexandra doesn't know anything about her father's company and has little memory about her uncle, she remembers how her mother always complain about him before she died and she can't believe her father will trust someone like that.
"Is there no other way out?" she questioned and Arthur shakes his head negatively
"Is that why the company is in a mess?" she asked referring to the ugly state of the building
"It happened a few months back so I skipped some tax payment and tried to get some money through gambling but it doesn't work out. People from the tax ministry came for investigation today and took everything" he told her with tears in his eyes as he blames himself
Alexandra also has tears in her eyes as she watch her father breakdown and is lost of words to comfort him with, Arthur immediately assures her that he will take care of things but she knows that their status will definitely be affected by this crisis
"There are just two things that might change" he told her with apologetic look in his eyes and Alexandra brace herself to hear it
"You can't study at Height, I can't afford to send you there at this time"
"What?"Alexandra exclaimed
"I know you really want to attend the same school with Ethan but things are not good for us right now and I can't afford the tuition there" Arthur tried to explain but Alexandra isn't hearing any of it
It has been a long time dream for her to attend Heights together with Ethan and their other friends, it's the best school in the country and only the best of the best are admitted every year.
Because she didn't get into their desired high school, Ethan had to forfeit his admission and attend Novel with her but now that things finally work out another problem ensue
"Dad I can't give up my opportunity to attend Heights, not now" she tried to make him see reasons with her but her father already made up his mind
They have a lot of debt to cover my sweetheart and we also have to move out of our house" he dropped another bad news for her and Alexandra is speechless out of anger…
…After leaving the hospital, their mothers kept in touch and after her first birthday, Alexandra parents moved into Ethan's high-end neighborhood and the two reconnect together. Moving out of the house she has spent sixteen years of her life in and the only place which has the memory of her mother will really break her down
Apart from losing the precious memories of her mother, she won't be able to see Ethan as often as before and gradually they will draw apart from each other.
Although her father is helpless but Alexandra doesn't want to let go of the two things that are very important to her and breaks down, after losing her mother because of her sickle cells illness, she was only able to hold on and live well because of Ethan
He is the only one who could get through to her and she relies on him more than anyone, if she attend a different school with five hours distance from his then she won't have anyone to rely on
Alexandra received a message on her phone as she is still pondering on her father's decisions and reads it, Ethan send her a text to inform her they already left the house and asked her to call him, she realize then that she has another issue
How to tell Ethan that their promise to attend Heights together is not going to happen and she will have to move out of his life because that's exactly what moving out of their house means to her
She took the cup of coffee in her father's hand and tells him that they should return home first and thinks more on the decision to make tomorrow
Arthur knows how hard it will be for his daughter to let go of the house and also return back to her old school but he has no other choice, Ethan's parents own the house they live in and they pay the rent yearly.
He moved in because it's his wife request but their status is far below that of the Anderson's and they pay a hefty sum of money every year even after the discount given to them
"Let's return home, I will inform the Anderson about my decision tomorrow" he told her but Alexandra still doesn't want to believe they are moving out of the house.
Being the only child, she has been pampered with everything and always gets what she wants but her father refusing her this time means there is really no other way and she is sad

The Arthurs move out of their house in a few days and move back into their old house, although the house is also very beautiful and richly furnished, Alexandra isn't happy and has refused to talk to any of her friends or even Ethan about it.
Ethan is very worried after learning from his parents that they suddenly move out and they explained briefly to him about what happened with their company
When his parents also heard about what happened, they offered to help and even told Arthur not to worry about the rent but he decline and doesn't want to become a parasite that lives off them so they left.
Ethan had thought to tell Alexandra about his feelings on the day they are to leave to Heights but she is already avoiding him before he gets to the chance to tell her
He sent her the hundredth message to inform her he will soon leave for Heights and wanted them to leave together but didn't get any respond from her, it has been like that for a few days now and he is restless, he pace around his room not paying attention to Antonio who is busy with games.
He doesn't understand why she won't speak to him and wonders how she is doing; Antonio drops the gamepad in his hand and comes closer to him placing his hand on his shoulders
"You will see each other at school anyways so why are you so worried?" he said and took a seat
"I just want to know how she is doing and why she didn't tell me before leaving" he said and took a seat beside him
"Am sure she is fine and we will find her when school resumes tomorrow" he said to assure him but Ethan isn't convinced
"Ethan! There is a message for you" His mother called outside his room and he quickly open the door thinking it's from Alexandra
"Its Alexandra dad, I think Alexandra is leaving to college today" Mrs. Anderson said and hand over her phone to him
Ethan took a few seconds to read the message and he is shocked to learn that she is attending a different college even to a far place at that
He hurried down the stairs and took one of the car keys ignoring his mother's words to drive safe and drive down to the address written in the message.
Although he is angry to know Alexandra will be attending a different school without discussing it with him but more worried about not seeing her before she leaves and speed up the car.
The drive to her hour is about an hour from his but Ethan managed to arrive earlier, he rushed into the house but the doors are locked and no one answered to his calling
He tried calling Alexandra's number severally to no avail and kicked his car in anger, Novel is a boarding high school and he will have to wait till she has a break before he is able to see her again, Ethan is shattered and sits on the floor frustrated.
