William:
How the hell has it been three months since kings Henry death we've only been on the run for a week max and as far as my knowledge goes of the mythical forest goes time does not distort in there so how, how was it possible unless... The dragon.
"ALRIGHT EVERYONE COMING IN MAKE SINGAL FILE LINES WELL GET EVERYONE ADDJUSTED."A man on top of a look out post yelled
I had complete forgot that the old drunk transported us here
"Come on William lets go in line, we'll talk about the time after were adjusted here."Arthur said waving his hand to follow
I followed him and stood in line. As I looked around all I saw was just grass and two look out posts from where we entered, Infront of us there were two people taking all the applicants of the people one man and one women we were in the line of the women she look strong she wore the same attire as us but just fitted for a women except she nor anyone here wore a mask like Arthur and I.As for all the people here most looked like they haven't eaten their whole life's i could see a lot of skinny people here, which made me wounder how they were gonna fair in an army.
"NEXT!"
"Come on William. "Arthur nudged me
"What's your name and numb. Oh its whisk and key I've been expecting you two, the old drunk told me you two were gonna be strong so don't disappoint me. Heres your key just go right until you see the building, put your stuff in your room and meet me here in 30 minutes. Your room number is 131. dismissed!"
Arthur grabbed the key and we began walking but there was nothing Infront of us just grass. Arthur and I looked at each other confused but none the less we continued and to are surprise not 5 minutes from were we were a giant building appeared stunning Arthur and I.
"WHOA so someone here can use illusion magic! "Arthur exclaimed
"It seems that way."
The building was nothing special just a tall brick building which i assumed held around 3000 people. We entered the building and the place was bear nothing inside just two spell circle in the middle we made are way to the spell circles and stepped on them, the key began to glow along with the spell circle and in a matter of seconds we were teleported to another floor Infront of us was a long hallway with Multiple door to the sides. We saw a women trying to get into her room but failing
"Come on William lets go help her out!"
"I would rather go into are room and talk about how we're forward in time."
"AH there's nothing we can do about that now. What we can do is help this beautiful lady"
I sighed and agreed we walked towards the women and as we got closer Arthur began talking
"Hello Miss are you having trouble?"
The lady screamed in terror at Arthurs approach then began apologizing excessively saying
"I'm so sorry its just you were so close and that mask scared me i apologize"
"Smooth going Arthur, you sure do love scarring the lady's away. Honestly surprise the princess hasn't left you yet. "I said mockly
Arthur ignored me then began talking
"HAHA that's fine happens all the time here let me help you. "Arthur gestured his hand for the key
The lady gave him her card
"Oh yeah here, I think they gave me the wrong key because every time I put the key in, the door doesn't open. "The lady explained
"HMMM ah I know why, its because this room is 131 and from the looks of your key it says 130 ahah."
I saw the women's face turn a bright red in embarrassment she took her key from Arthur and lowered her face and spoke
"OH. Thank you."
"HAHA there's nothing to be embarrassed about it was just a simply mistake, my friend makes stupid mistakes all the time so im used to it, you see there was this one time he accident went into a women's bathroom and got beat up because they thought he was a little per..."
I gave Arthur a good big hard tap on the back to make him shut up.
"AWO WHAT THE HELL MAN DONT YOU SEE IM TRYING TO MAKE HER FEEL BETTER BY EMMBRASING YOU! "Arthur! "Arthur yelled massaging his back
"WELL how about you tell the truth and tell her that that happen to you and not me."I said sternly
"WELL BECAUSE I DONT WANT TO EMMBRASES MYSELF INFRONT OF A CUTE GIRL WILLIAM SO HOW ABOUT YOU BE A GOOD WINGMAN FOR ONCE!"
"HEHE thanks you two my names Evelyn "She said waving a hand towards us
Arthur took it and said
"Its a pleasure to meet you Evelyn my name is Ar..I mean Key and my friend here name is Whisk, if i could kiss your hand i would but i cannot so i apologist. "Arthur said in a deeper voice trying to impress her
"Hehe that's quite all right Key,im gonna go now I expect well see each other often so I hope we continue to have more interactions like this. "She said while entering her room.
"Hey William you think I have a shot at here? "Arthur ask while having his arms on his hips
"Arthur it will be a miracle if an women lets you be their romantical patterner "I said while opening out room door
"HEY rude, atleast i have more of a shoot then you grouchy patens. "Arthur said entering and removing his mask
"Whatever Arthur, Now lets talk."
"I'm positive the reason we jump forward in time is because of the dragon we encountered. "I said while putting my stuff down
"The Keeper of Time Dragon? I mean it could but how? "Arthur said while sitting on what i assumed his bed he chose
"I assume the moment we got close to the dragon.."
"Keeper of Time Dragon! "Arthur interrupted me
"I assume the moment we got close to the Keeper of Time Dragon that it change time around it"
"HUH maybe it would make sense for it to have that power but how does it work because once The princess and I left you stayed so shouldn't you be even more in the future?"
"...The old witch she probably had something to do with it."I said while holding my chin in thought
Arthur agreed with his head
"So what now we cant change it anything. "Arthur said now laying down on his bed and looking at his mask.
"Nothing, we can do nothing about it"
"well I'm gonna take a quick nap wake me up when its time to go. "Arthur said
I began to unpack the only stuff we had which were just cloths. Once i was done i sat at the other bed and looked at the small room which only had room for two beds a small window and a small closet for our clothing, some how it felt nice and secure in this room. I began to think about how to get stronger, I thought of a few ways one was just go into the forest and risk trying to find the old witch but that seemed like a last resort, the other was once sentinel woke up he could train me but who knows if he ever wakes up, the last is that in this camp there would be someone strong enough to help me but i felt no one strong enough, that women maybe but i highly doubt it.As my mind began coming up with ideas who to help me the time past and so came the time to meet up. I woke up Arthur we put our mask on and began making our way to the meeting place. We were both quite going there and when we arrived there were countless of people there all in a circle watching the women that gave us the key in the middle just standing there. Then she began talking
"ALRIGHT NOW THAT EVERONES HERE THE FIRST THING I WANT TO SHOW EVERYONE HERE IS WHAT YOUR GONNA BE DOING IN THESE TWO WEEKS!WHISK CAN YOU COME FORWARD PLEASE."
"GOOD NOW IN THESE TWO WEEKS EVERYONE HERE WILL BE ASSIENED TO ONE HIGH MEMEBER OF THE MILATRY AND BE FIGHTING THEM EVERYDAY UNTILL YOU EITHER QUIT OR WIN SO TODAY WHISK AND I WILL DIMASTRAT HOW THE FIGHTS WILL GO"
With a snap of her finger a protective barrier appeared locking us in, I kinda felt relived that I would be fighting this women since she's the only one I expected to be strong enough to handle my punches.
"ARE YOU READY WHISK!"
I nodded my head
"THEN BEGIN!"
Arthur:
As soon as I heard the drill sergeant was going to spar with William, my heart sank. I could sense her power, and I knew William would go all out. I just hoped he'd use his brain for once and hold back. But knowing him, he'd see this as a chance to test his strength against a formidable opponent.
The sergeant Yelled, "BEGIN!" and the air crackled with tension. William wasted no time, his body springing forward like a coiled serpent unleashed. He aimed a swift punch, but the sergeant was a blur of motion, effortlessly sidestepping. In a swift counter, her leg arced through the air, landing a solid kick to William's ribs. The force sent him spiraling towards the barrier, the impact resonating through the arena.
Undeterred, William was on his feet in an instant, adopting a guarded stance. The sergeant advanced, a storm of relentless attacks. Punches and kicks were exchanged in a dizzying dance of offense and defense. The crowd was spellbound, their gasps punctuating the sounds of combat. William and the sergeant were equally matched, neither yielding an inch until a fleeting misstep from the sergeant gave William his opening. He struck with precision—left, right, then a powerful thrust to her chest, catapulting her across the field.
The audience was hushed, their eyes wide with awe. Amidst the silence, I could sense the surging mana where the sergeant stood, unyielding. She laughed, her resilience unnerving. Despite William's full force, she seemed unfazed—a testament to her formidable strength.
She taunted, "Brace for my next attack, where you struck me. It's your turn to fly, HAHAH!"
William braced himself, but the sergeant's next move was a lightning strike. She vanished and reappeared in a heartbeat, her strike sending William crashing against the barrier with such force it fractured. Lying there motionless, I feared the worst, but my senses confirmed he was still alive, just barely.
The barrier powered down, and the sergeant ordered some students to take William to the infirmary. I wanted to follow, but rage overtook me. She had nearly killed my best friend. I had to confront her.
"HEY! What the hell?! You nearly killed my best friend! What's wrong with you?!"
"Key, this is what you signed up for. This is the reality for everyone here. If you can't handle it, then this place isn't for you."
"Think you're so strong? Then fight me, you bitch!"
I activated my sword style, hoping my insult would throw her off balance. But she just laughed.
"HAHA, you've got some spunk, Key! Let's see if you're tougher than your friend."
The barrier reactivated, now fully repaired. "BEGIN!" she announced.
I activated my sword style, With the barrier restored, the sergeant wasted no time. She lunged forward with a ferocity that eclipsed her earlier bout with William. I dodged narrowly, my sword style guiding me. Her movements, initially a blur, started to slow in my perception, revealing gaps in her assault. I seized an opening, swinging my blade with all my might. But my triumph was short-lived as my sword met only dirt.
A split second too late, I sensed the impending danger. A crushing blow to my chest sent me hurtling back, shattering the barrier. As my consciousness faded, I caught a glimpse of the sergeant's face—etched with concern but marked by a fresh slash. A wave of vindictive satisfaction washed over me as darkness enveloped my senses.
