Nightfall, Woods
Naruto was running through the woods frowning as he thought about Kali before his nose twitched and he sensed other beings and as one gained on him he kicked off a tree and dodged a tackle and when he landed he saw the figure turn and glare at him,
The figure gave a hiss and blurred forward before Naruto blurred forward in a zigzag pattern and punched the figure in the jaw causing a loud crack to sound off in the clearing
Naruto watched as his assailant fell and made to kneel down when he flinched as he felt an unbearable heat and he looked to see a hole in his shirt where the burning was coming from,
Groaning Naruto immediately dug into the hole and pulled free a bullet that was glowing blue and he dropped it as it burned his fingertips, Naruto peered through the darkness and saw he was surrounded by men and women all aiming guns at him before he moved quickly and grabbed the unconscious man he knocked out and lifted him up before a hail of bullets struck as Naruto vamped out of the clearing
Man1 turned to see Naruto rushing him and made to shoot him but Naruto decapitated him, grabbing the gun Naruto jumped to the tree and caught the sniper rifle as the man turned around and he grabbed his chin as the man hissed trying to bite him
Naruto blinked in shock, "Vampires.' He said before he shot the man in the head and sensed someone rushing behind him and turned with the gun aimed at a man and he smirked as the man stopped while Naruto glanced to the woman who had her gun against his temple and a hand on his wrist
"Stop." The woman demanded
"You people attacked me. What do you want?" Naruto asked
'You need to come with us." The woman said
"I don't even know you, and-
The woman dropped the hammer on her pistol, "I wasn't asking."
"I know.' Naruto said holding up a clip causing her eyes to widen before she looked and saw her clip had been taken out,
Naruto wrapped his arm around the woman's and kicked the man in the jaw before he pinned the woman to the tree and shoved his free hand into her chest gripping her heart causing her to groan,
"Who sent you here?" Naruto glared
"T-the vampire council." The woman gasped as Naruto eyes narrowed before she gripped his arm and wrapped her legs around his before the man from earlier dropped from above and stabbed a syringe into his neck
Naruto gasped as vervain was injected into his system and he punched the woman off of him before with a groan he sped back into a branch having it run through the man on his back
Naruto groaned as he fell to his knees weak,
The woman walked up to him and Malia in coyote form darted into the clearing and jaws found her neck and Malia snapped it
Naruto smirked tiredly watching as Malia returned to normal and approached him, "You okay?"
"Yea. I'll just need a moment. We're going to lock her up.'
Later, Naruto's Safe house
The woman groaned as she returned to life and found herself tied down with dried blood on her wrists and she looked up to see Naruto standing across from her and she glared
"I was told vampires outside of myself don't exist." Naruto said
'We keep ourselves secret, it's a law."
"Then how do you know about me?" Naruto asked
'We have humans under compulsion to tell us when blood bags are inexplicably taken from hospitals and blood banks. We arrived, watched and saw you the only one here that smells of blood and wet dog." Naruto raised an eyebrow and sniffed himself, "Untie me. The council wants you brought out of this territory."
"My life is here and I ain't going anywhere."
'Dont be stupid. The Alpha pack is here and for a young vampire you will die.'
'I handled myself pretty well against you. I'll be happy to untie you if you leave and never come back."
"I have a mission and I am not going to fail it."
Naruto frowned and nodded, "Well I hope you like animal blood cause that's all you'll be getting." He said before he stood up and left
The woman tried to get up but was too weak to do so as the door slammed behind him
"We should kill her.' Malia said
'Naw. She can be useful." Naruto said as they watched Allison finish the mountain ash barrier
Derek's Loft
Stones raised an eyebrow as his childhood friend texted him about attending her birthday, "Can't make it but we'll hang out tomorrow.' He texted back before he looked to his girlfriend who was pacing
"You know, I'm starting not to like this idea. Sounds kinda dangerous…" Erica said
"You got this babe.' Stiles smiled giving her a thumbs up
"Does it have to be him, though?" Erica asked with a frown
"He knows how to do it. I don't. It'd be more dangerous if I tried doing it myself." Derek said with a sigh
The door opened and everyone looked to see Peter had arrived, "Guys...FYI? Yes, coming back from the dead has left my abilities slightly impaired... but, the hearing still works. So, I hope you're comfortable saying whatever it is that you're feeling straight to my face."
"We don't like you." Derek said stone faced before he stood up and continued, "Now shut up and help us."
"Fair enough."
Moment's Later
Erica in a t-shirt sat in a chair as Peter paced behind her while Stiles and Derek watched
"Relax. I'll get more out of you if you're calm." Peter said
"How do you know how to do this, again?"
'It's an ancient ritual used mostly by Alphas, since it's a skill that requires quite a bit of practice. One slip, and you could paralyze someone...Or kill them."
"You... You've had a lot of practice, though, right?" Stiles asked
"Well, I've never paralyzed anyone."
"...Wait, does that mean that you--' Erica was interrupted as Peter stabbed his claws into the back of her neck
Stiles was about to rush forward but Derek held him back, "Wait, I see them--" Peter said as he saw flashes of Erica's memory before he backed away groaning
"What'd you see?" Derek asked as Stiles rushed to Erica
"It was confusing... Um, im-images, vague shapes…"
"But you saw something." Stiles said
"Erica found them." Peter said shocked
"Issac and Boyd?"
"I barely saw them-- I mean, glimpses--"
"But you did see them?"
"And worse."
"...Deucalion." Derek said
"He was talking to them. Something about time running out."
"What does it mean?" Erica asked
"He's gonna kill them." Stiles sakd
"No, no, no, no, no. He didn't say that...He did make them a promise... that, by the full moon, that they'd both be dead."
"The next full moon?" Derek asked urgently
"Tomorrow night." Peter frowned
With Naruto
Naruto left his house and frowned seeing Kali sitting on the hood of his car, sighing he walked down the stairs and toward her, "What do you want?"
"To talk." Kali said
"..."
"I'm sorry for leaving the way I did but it was for your protection."
"My protection?"
"After Duecalian began to go crazy he wanted you. So we made a deal, he gets me and leaves you alone." Kali said
"And the others? Julia, Carolyn?" Naruto asked
"I had to prove to Duecalian he could trust me." Kali said looking away
Naruto looked confused before his eyes widened an with a snarl he sped forward and his hand caught Kali by the throat and pressed her against the car
"You didn't!" Naruto growled
"To keep you safe, it was the only way.' Kali struggled to say,
Naruto released Kali after a moment, shaking his head he got into his car and drove off as Kali watched
Later, Beacon Hills High
Naruto, Erica, and Stiles walked toward their next class, "What does a pack of Alphas need with Issac and Boyd?" Stiles asked
Naruto and Erica looked to some twins who walked by, "Maybe the gay one wanted some new buts to play with." He said causing them to stop and glare at him as he smirked at them
Stiles looked over, and saw the two,"Twin Alphas, so Erica I guess if we each kill one then we take their power. You in?"
"Of course.' Erica smirked
"See you later.' Naruto promised the twins
Naruto turned around and walked off, Stiles and Erica caught up to him as the twins looked at each other, "Dude what was that?" Stiles asked
"I'm going to kill every last one of them." Naruto promised his eyes flashing
Stiles looked over and saw his dad talking to a student and quickly got Erica's and Naruto's attention, "Hey, what's going on?"
The two listened in and frowned before looking to Stiles
"Heather is missing." Naruto said causing Stiles eyes to widen before his eyes narrowed and he turned to the direction the twins walked to and was about to head back when Naruto wrapped an arm around his shoulder, "Calm down."
"We got to find her.' Stiles frowned
"And we will, but first we need Erica to remember."
"Peter couldn't get much." Erica said
"We don't need Peter.' Naruto shook his head
Later, Animal Clinic
Naruto, Stiles, and Derek were pouring ice into a tub as Erica and Deaton watched, "Obviously, it's not going to be particularly... Comfortable. But if we can slow your heart rate down enough, you'll slip into a trance-like state.
"Like being hypnotized." Erica said getting a nod
The two walked forward as the guys finished, "Exactly. You'll be half transformed. It'll let us access your subconscious mind."
"How slow does her heart rate need to be?" Naruto asked
"Very slow." Deaton said vaguely
'Okay, well, how slow is very slow?"
"Nearly dead." Deaton said as Erica who touched the ice water flinched
"It's safe, though, right?" Erica asked
'Do you want me to answer honestly? "
"No. No, not really."
"Look, if it feels too risky, you don't have to do this." Stiles said
Erica looked at him and smiled
Moments Later
Erica in a sports bra and sweatpants got into the tub hissing as she sat down fully, Stiles meanwhile was watching nervously, before with a nod from Erica she was pushed under,
Erica wolfed out and began to thrash trying to escape, "Get her back under. Hold her there."
"We're trying!" Derek said before he and Naruto forced Erica back under the water and when she stopped thrashing they slowly released her before she rose to the top of the tub with her eyes closed
"Now, remember, only I talk to her. Too many voices will confuse her and draw her out." Deaton said getting nods before they looked to Erica, "Erica? Can you hear me?"
"Yes. I can hear you." Erica answered
"This is Dr. Deaton. I'd like to ask you a few questions. Is that all right?"
"Yes." Erica said
"I want to ask you about the night you found Issac and Boyd. I want you to remember it for me in as vivid detail as possible, like you're actually there again." Deaton said
"I, I don't wanna do that. I don't... I don't wanna do that. I don't wanna do that." Erica said fearfully as the lights flickered
"Erica, it's all right. Just relax. They're just memories. You can't be hurt by a memory."
"I don't wanna do that."
"Relax. Relax." Deaton coached and Erica settled down, "Good. Now let's go back to that night. To the place you found Issac and Boyd. Can you tell me what you see? Is there some kind of building? A house?"
"It's not... it's not a house. It's stone. I think marble."
"That's perfect. Can you give me any other descriptors?"
"It's dusty, so empty. Like an abandoned building." Erica said before she gasped, "Someone's here. Someone's here. '' she latched onto Naruto's hand that was still on the tub, causing him and Derek to look at one another
"Erica, relax."
"No, no, no, they see me, they see me!" Erica said fearfully as the lights flickered again while Stiles bit his lip as he wanted to comfort his girlfriend but he could get hurt if she lashed out
"Just memories. You won't be hurt by your memories. Just relax. Relax. Good. Now tell us what you see. Tell us everything."
"I hear...Boyd I hear him. He's talking about the full moon, about being out of control when the moon rises."
'Is he talking to Issac?"
"No, it's a woman."
Everyone shared a look
"Can you hear anything else?"
"They're worried.They're worried what they'll do during the moon. They're… Worried that they're gonna hurt each other."
"If they're locked in together on the full moon, they're gonna tear each other apart." Derek whispered
"Isaac, we need to find them right now. Can you see them? Do you know what kind of room it is? Is there any kind of a marker? A number on a door? A sign?"
"A vault door.'
"Like a bank?" Naruto asked looking at Stiles who took out his phone and looked up abandoned bank buildings,
Erica began to panic again and told them she found a Issac's corpse and shot out of the water, awake, "
"A vault! It's a bank vault! I saw it! I saw the name. It's, uh... B-beacon hills first national bank." Erica said as Stiles put a towel around her and helped her out the tub, "It's, um... it's an abandoned bank, and they're keeping them locked inside, inside the vault."
Erica looked to everyone and saw Derek looking sad, as Naruto leaned against the wall, "What?"
'You don't remember what you said right before you came out of it, do you?"
"No."
"You said when they captured you that they dragged you into a room and that there was a body in it. You said it was Issac."
Moments Later
"He's not dead." Derek shook his head pacing
"Derek, she said, "there's a dead body. It's Issac." Doesn't exactly leave us much room for interpretation."
"Who was in the vault with Boyd?" Naruto asked
"Maybe it was the girl on the motorcycle. Okay, the one who saved you?" Stiles asked Erica
"No, she wasn't like us. And whoever was in the vault with Boyd was."
"What if that's how Issac died?"
"They, like, pit them against each other during the full moons and see which one survives. It's like a werewolf thunderdome."
"Then we get them out tonight."
"You and I against a pack of Alphas to find and save 2 Betas who can't control themselves on a full moon." Naruto said
"If Erica got in, then so can we."
"Getting in is not the problem. Getting to the vault, fighting Alphas and two Betas without trying to hurt said Betas is suicide. We need backup."
"You want to ask Peter for help?"
"Of course not. I still think he should be dead. Malia can help but we need 1 more person." Naruto said before he motioned to Stiles, "Stiles will find us a way into the vault."
"Looks like someone already had found a way, but thanks to the power of the internet won't take long to find out how they were robbed." Stiles said
Later
A blood bag was tossed to the woman who snatched it and began to drink greedily as she glared up at Naruto who walked forward and knelt down in front of her
"So let's work out a deal." Naruto said
The woman stopped drinking,
"You help me with the Alphas and I'll go with you."
"Help you with the Alpha pack." The woman scoffed, "The Alpha pack has been mobilizing these past few months. Recruiting betas as foot soldiers while they consolidate their own power. What can 2 vampires hope to do in Werewolf territory?"
'An Alpha, a Werecoyote and I are going into their stronghold tonight to save some Betas. You in or what? Give me your word that you'll help me with these guys until they are no longer a threat and you'll be free. Or you can stay here in chains and starving." Naruto said
The woman frowned, "What's to stop me from breaking your neck as soon as you free me."
"You'll have to try it and find out." Naruto smirked
The woman sighed, and extended her wrists, and Naruto unlocked her shackles, "Got a name?"
"Nathan McCall, and you are?"
"Selene." Selene said causing Naruto to nod in greeting
Naruto led Selene upstairs, "You can stay here until the sun goes down, then meet me at this address. Windows are UV proof so you won't have to worry about sunlight. " He said handing her a piece of paper before he vamp sped away
Selene hesitantly opened the shades and smiled when she didn't get burned by the sun before opening them fully,
Later, Derek's Loft
Naruto was with Stiles, Derek and Malia, "So vampires.' Stiles said getting a nod
"She doesn't know that I'm a hybrid and lets keep it that way." Naruto said
Stiles put down plans and blueprints, before Naruto looked to the elevator before it opened and Selene entered, "Glad you can make it." He said a s she looked at everyone who looked at her before they focused on the task at hand
"Okay, you see this?" Stiles asked pointing at a section on the blueprint, "This is how they got in; it's a rooftop air conditioning vent, leads down inside into the wall of the vault, which is here. Okay? One of the robbers was lowered into this shaft. Now, that space is so small, it took him about twelve hours to drill into that wall, which is stone, by the way. Then, throughout the rest of the night, they siphoned the cash up to the guys back on the roof through that one little shaft in the wall. Boom!"
"Can we fit in there?" Malia asked
"Yes, we can, but very, very barely. And, they also patched the wall, obviously, so we're gonna need a drill of some kind. I'm thinking maybe a diamond-bit…"
Derek impatiently interrupted, "Look, forget the drill--"
Stiles looked at him incredulously, "Sorry?"
"If I go in first, how much space do I have?"
"What do you... What do you think you're gonna do, Derek? You gonna punch through the wall?" Stiles asked flabbergasted
Derek:patronizingly replied, "Yes, Stiles. I'm gonna punch through the wall."
"Okay. Okay, big guy, let's see it! Let's see that fist. Big old fist. Make it, come on! Get it out there! Don't be scared, big bad wolf!" Stiles said as Derek sighed and finally held up his fist while Naruto smiled amused as Selene raised an eyebrow, "Yeah, look at that! Okay, see this? That's maybe three inches of room to gather enough force to punch through solid co--" Stiles put his hand in front of Derek's fist and the Alpha immediately punched it causing Stiles to groan clutching his hand, "He could do it."
"I'll get through the wall."
"Malia will follow. Selene and I will distract them."
"But why?" Malia asked, causing everyone to look at her, "One of them already is dead."
"We don't know that!" Derek said irritated
"Okay, but I don't know Isley or Burk."
'Issac and Boyd." Naruto corrected
"Whatever. We don't owe these guys."
"You're right. But wolves grow stronger in packs. Alphas recruiting Betas or whatever the hell they're doing will be a problem for us down the line.' Naruto said as Malia shrugged
"You go in to find the betas and get out while we deal with the Alphas until they are out." Selene said, "Not much of a plan.'
"Well it's what we got." Naruto said
First National Bank
Naruto and Selene entered the bank, "Can't believe I'm doing this." Selene said
'What your precious council seems like they would rather keep you all on a short leash."
"There's strength in numbers."
'And no individuality." Naruto said looking at Selene, "From what I gather about this Coven thing. Whatever the Elder says is law. You stay in some musty ass mansion all day and only go out to kill werewolves. Not interested."
'And what would you rather do?"
"I'm immortal, do what I want when I want. Thought that was the best thing about immortality."
"A wolf's bite is fatal to us. This is suicide." Selene said
"Don't get bit then." Naruto replied before he looked to his right and opened the door to see Allison in a closet beside Issac's corpse
"Na-" Allison paused seeing Selene
Naruto made to make an introduction when growls were heard and he looked forward to see the Alpha Ennis flanked by the twins
"Allison, go." Naruto said seeing she had no weapons and she ran off
Ennis smirked as he wolfed out, as the twins merged, the Alphas roared and charged the vampires,
Naruto and Selene vamped forward with vampiric hisses
Meanwhile, Vault
The wall of the vault burst open before Derek and Malia climbed out, and saw Boyd covered in sweat, "Boyd, it's me. It's Derek."
Malia's phone rang, "Stiles, now is not the best time…"
"Malia! No, listen to me, okay? Look, you gotta get outta there. Look, the walls of the vault are made from a mineral called hecatolite-- it scatters the moonlight."
Malia looked around and saw mountain ash lining the walls and stepped on the closest lime and messed it up, "What does that mean?"
"We're here to get you out, okay...?" Boyd said in relief.
"Look, it keeps the moonlight out, okay? They haven't felt the full moon in months--" Stiles said before Peter took over
"Okay, think of it like the gladiators in the Roman Colosseum. They used to starve the lions for three days, making them more vicious, more out of control. Deucalion has kept them from shifting for three months, diminishing their tolerance to it."
"They're gonna be stronger--"
"More savage, more bloodthirsty... Malia, they're the lions! They're the starved lions, and you and Derek just stepped into the Colosseum."
"Derek... we have a problem. A really big problem." Malia said causing Derek to look at her before they saw another figure walk out from behind a pillar and Derek's eyes widened
" ...Cora?" Derek asked stunned
"Derek... get out. Get out now!" Cora said just as the moonlight hit her and Boyd causing them to wolf out and rush the two.
