Chapter 25 - Chapter 24. Women's Turmoil

Tianhao returned from the bathroom and sat in front of Xiaolu again, his expression much milder.

"Haha, did this guy go to the bathroom to vent his frustration by banging on the door?" Xiaolu chuckled inwardly. However, she thought her words just now were a bit too much. She should not expose others' weaknesses. So, it seemed like it was her own fault. She raised the red wine glass that the waiter had poured for them and swayed it in front of Tianhao.

"Thank you for treating me to a big meal. I'll drink a toast to you." Seeing Tianhao obediently lifting his glass, Xiaolu, in a show of camaraderie, downed the red wine in her glass.

Oh no, Tianhao actually picked up the wine glass, swirled it, smelled it, took a small sip, and then put the glass down.

"You, I drank it, shouldn't you do the same?"

Tianhao looked at Xiaolu like he was looking at his prey for a long time before answering with a smile, "Come on, my respected sister-in-law, this is an '85 wine. A bottle costs tens of thousands of dollars. If you drink it like that, you'd be drinking hundreds of thousands in one night. Besides, such good wine is meant for savoring, not for quenching thirst."

Xiaolu blushed at Tianhao's words, feeling embarrassed. Was it necessary to make fun of her just because she drank a glass of wine?

Thinking of this, Xiaolu imitated Tianhao's manner and stood up.

"Hey, where are you going? You haven't eaten anything, are you planning to run away?"

"I'm going to the bathroom." Humph, tit for tat, Xiaolu walked towards the bathroom, releasing her pent-up frustration.

Huh? What's going on? Why can't I walk properly? My head is spinning. Oh God, did I get drunk from just one glass of red wine? Xiaolu tried hard to control herself, but she still walked unsteadily. Not good, I'm about to fall. Just as she was about to fall, Tianhao hugged her from behind.

"Damn, don't show off just because you can't drink. This red wine is quite strong."

"I... I feel dizzy."

Tianhao helped Xiaolu back to her chair and snapped his fingers at the waiter, "Bring a sobering soup, quickly."

"Hao, is that you? Is it really you?" A tender voice came over.

Tianhao frowned. Without looking, he knew it was Luna.

"Yeah, it's me." Tianhao coldly replied, took a piece of steak and put it in his mouth without looking at Luna.

Xiaolu, still a bit dizzy, leaned on the chair and looked at this woman walking over. Wow, so sexy, so stunning. Wearing a silver-white sequined dress, her hair elegantly fixed behind her ears with a hairpin, not only were her features charming, but even her walk had an indescribable charm.

"Hao, I've missed you so much. Are you still mad at me?" Luna, without any politeness, sat on Tianhao's thigh, her hands around his neck, her voluptuous chest pressing against Tianhao's upper body.

Xiaolu stuck out her tongue. Half-awake from the wine, what a fragrant and ambiguous scene. It seemed that this demon not only had a bad temper but also led a very messy private life.

Disgusted, a look of disdain flashed in Tianhao's eyes. He originally wanted to push away this impolite woman, but when he saw Xiaolu looking extremely dissatisfied, he suddenly smiled triumphantly and hugged Luna, pecking her on the face, then looked at Xiaolu with a smug expression.

"Disgusting," Xiaolu turned her head away.

Luna widened her sharp eyes, "Who are you calling disgusting?"

Xiaolu shrugged, pointing at Tianhao, "Him."

"Hao, who is she to you, how dare she speak ill of you?" Luna seemed determined not to let Xiaolu go.

"She... she's the maid at my house." Tianhao smirked.

"Too much." Xiaolu, although poor, had her pride. She couldn't tolerate being labeled a maid just because of a meal. Sure, I don't look as good as this woman, but I'm not a maid, for heaven's sake!

Unable to bear it, Xiaolu stood up and tried to walk away. However, her legs were uncooperative, and she swayed as she walked. Passing by the couple, she accidentally kicked the woman. Xiaolu could swear to the heavens that it was unintentional.

Luna screamed, "You smelly maid, how dare you hit me!" Saying this, she leaped from Tianhao's embrace and, adopting the mannerisms of a shrew, forcefully pushed Xiaolu.

Tianhao didn't expect things to escalate to this point. He hurriedly stood up, grabbed Luna, but it was a bit too late. Xiaolu had already been pushed to the ground.

"Smack!" A loud slap landed on Luna's face. Xiaolu, still feeling the pain, looked up in surprise at Tianhao and Luna.

At this moment, Luna also looked at Tianhao with a surprised expression, "Hao, you hit me. You actually hit me for a maid?"

"Just get out!" Tianhao roared lowly, no longer paying attention to Luna but crouching down to help Xiaolu. Xiaolu, disgusted, avoided Tianhao's hand and struggled to stand up.

This demon, he was just cozying up to that woman a moment ago, and now he slapped her. Although this woman looks annoying and deserves a beating, Tianhao's change in temperament is too fast. Could it be because she was bullied that he hit that woman? Huh, he wouldn't be so kind to me.

Luna covered her face and ran away crying.

Tianhao, who originally wanted to play with Xiaolu, didn't expect things to develop like this, making his mood gloomy.

"Let's go back." Tianhao looked at the lavish feast in front of him and felt no appetite.

"Why go back? I haven't eaten anything yet." After speaking, Xiaolu lowered her head and began to eat, completely treating Tianhao as if he were invisible.

Tianhao stared at Xiaolu with wide eyes.

Xiaolu continued eating, pretending not to hear him. The atmosphere became awkward, and the delicious aroma of the food seemed to have lost its appeal. Tianhao sighed inwardly; he didn't expect the situation to take such a turn.

Xiaolu, seemingly indifferent to the awkwardness, suddenly looked up from her plate and said, "Are you going to keep staring at me, or are you going to eat? The food is getting cold."

Tianhao blinked, surprised by her sudden assertiveness. He shook his head, trying to shake off the lingering confusion, and reluctantly picked up his utensils.

As they continued to eat in awkward silence, the restaurant's ambiance, once filled with the promise of a delightful evening, now carried the weight of tension and unresolved issues.
