Chapter 98 - Sandai {98}

Kenzo appeared beside Mahito, and upon seeing Kenzo, Mahito broke into a childlike grin. "I did great, right?"

"You did alright," Kenzo replied, his demeanor cool and collected. Mahito's childlike excitement, however, seemed to amuse him. Kenzo directed his attention to Kashimo's lifeless body, instructing Mahito, "Heal him and ensure he becomes a civilian. I need to safely remove him from this game without causing him unnecessary suffering."

Mahito nodded enthusiastically, a wide grin plastered on his face. Following Kenzo's command, Mahito set to work, tending to Kashimo's injuries and altering his state to that of a civilian. Meanwhile, Kenzo gazed at Kashimo's lifeless form and then, with a command, uttered, "Arise."

A surge of blue and purple energy emanated from Kashimo's body, and he materialized as a shadow soldier. As Kashimo stood before Kenzo, the latter noticed something intriguing—Kashimo had held back during the battle with Mahito. It seemed he had reserved the full extent of his curse technique, saving it for a confrontation with Sukuna. Kenzo couldn't help but find it a missed opportunity.

Kenzo glanced at Kashimo before uttering the command, "Return." In response, Kashimo transformed back into his shadow form. Kenzo then turned his attention to Mahito, who had successfully carried out his instructions. After a few moments, Mahito stood up, a grin stretching across his face. "Did it."

Kenzo nodded in acknowledgment before instructing, "Return." Mahito, still smiling, returned to Kenzo's shadow. Following this, Kenzo summoned a sufficiently strong shadow soldier and addressed it, "I trust you to make sure that person leaves here safely."

"Yes, my liege," the shadow soldier responded with a bow, seizing the unconscious body of the person and teleporting away.

Kenzo, with a determined expression, cracked his knuckles and declared, "Let's go to Sendai and evolve him further." In an instant, he disappeared from his current location and reappeared in the Sendai Colony. The journey to enhance his shadow soldiers continued.

As Kenzo appeared in Sendai, he sensed Yuta's energy engaged in a battle against large cockroaches. Upon reaching Yuta, who had just dispatched the creatures effortlessly, Kenzo inquired about his well-being.

"You alright?" Kenzo asked, to which Yuta responded, "I am fine."

Kenzo then directed Yuta to ensure the safety of the people, stating, "Get the people out of threat; I myself will take care of the two strong warriors here." Yuta agreed, adding, "I will be nearby if you need backup."

With a confident smile, Kenzo turned his attention to the two adversaries perched on the nearby buildings. "Are y'all going to come out, or do I need to come and get y'all?" he called out. Without waiting for an answer, Kenzo swiftly moved, appearing next to them.

"Y'all are weaker than I thought," he remarked, sizing up the situation.

Kenzo observed the expressions on the faces of his opponents. The man thought, 'He is too sweet,' while the woman's instincts screamed at her to run away from this formidable figure.

Kenzo responded with a mocking tone, "Well, aren't you just the perfect test run for me to evolve Mahito?" He summoned Mahito from his shadow and instructed his opponents, "Aight, you two fight him at the same time, don't hold back."

The man, showing defiance, retorted, "And what if we don't?"

"Then I will kill you," Kenzo declared coldly, causing a cold sweat to appear on the man's face.

Kenzo continued, "Anyway, if y'all win, I will let you live, and that's a promise," he added with a cold look.

"Now then, do what y'all ancient sorcerers are good for and get to fighting," Kenzo said coldly, fixing them with a gaze that seemed to pierce through their very souls.

The two opponents couldn't shake off the feeling that death itself was staring straight at them.

As Ryu and Uro launched a coordinated assault on Mahito, the battlefield became a spectacle of intense clashes and distorted energies. Mahito, in response, utilized his transfiguration abilities to warp his own form and manipulate the environment to evade their attacks.

Ryu focused on channeling powerful blasts of cursed energy from his pompadour cannon, aiming to hit Mahito directly and overwhelm him with sheer destructive force. Meanwhile, Uro controlled the sky, creating defensive distortions and launching attacks with her Thin Ice Breaker technique.

Despite the relentless onslaught, Mahito's adaptability and transfiguration skills allowed him to contort and reshape himself, making it challenging for Ryu and Uro to land decisive blows. The battlefield echoed with the sounds of clashes and explosions as the three engaged in a fierce struggle.

Kenzo, perched atop the building, observed the battle with a discerning gaze. He studied the dynamics between the fighters, noting their strengths and weaknesses.

The intensity of the confrontation escalated, with Mahito displaying his resilience and tactical prowess against the combined assault of Ryu and Uro.

In the midst of the intense aerial combat, Mahito, displaying his mastery over transfiguration, morphed his arms into wings, allowing him to take to the sky. Uro, manipulating the very atmosphere around her, soared through the air with her sky manipulation technique. The clash between the two fighters in the aerial realm added another layer of complexity to their already dynamic confrontation.

As Mahito reached Uro, he altered the size and form of his hands, aiming a powerful attack at her. However, Uro swiftly responded, conjuring her Thin Ice Breaker. The distortion in the sky created a shockwave that collided with Mahito's transformed arms, dealing damage to them. Despite the injury, Mahito pressed on with his assault, and Uro, unable to fully withstand the force, was struck and sent hurtling downward.

Just as Mahito was floating triumphantly in the air, a directed blast of cursed energy—Granite Blast—fired by Ryu hit him with considerable impact. The attack caused visible damage to Mahito, but he promptly initiated his regenerative abilities, healing the wounds inflicted by Ryu's powerful assault. The battle in the skies continued, each fighter showcasing their unique abilities in a relentless exchange of attacks and counters.

Kenzo looked down at the battle from where he was sitting,by the end of this fight Mahito should be good enough for Kenjaku, and after Kenjaku,Mahito could transfigure a weaken Sukuna, which was good enough for Kenzo.

A/N anyway before y'all ask when he got this cold remember most of the time y'all seen him,he was either goofing off, fighting a friend,he is not Sukuna-level cold, he doesn't see everything as his plaything and that they only exist to please him, however he is not as soft as I think y'all think he is,the culling game is basically the perfect opportunity for me to show how terrifying it is to face someone that find more use in you being dead.....
