Nova could hardly follow their conversation, standing awkwardly close to the entrance. She was worried that Roan's coffee would get cold though; was it fine for her to just walk right up and silently offer Roan his drink?
It should be fine, right? As his assistant, she would be in situations like this every single day, besides, if Roan didn't like her actions, he would let her know and she would make sure not to repeat it.
So with her mind made up, she took out his coffee from the bag and walked over to place it on the table, she intended to give him his coffee and then hang back until he was done discussing with Sandra. She didn't at all expect Roan to reach out and pull her closer to him, his hand around her hip.
