When they stepped out of the mansion, it was already dark outside, it meant that they had slept for quite a while. Nova let Roan open the back door of the car for her, getting in with his help.
"What's the charity event about?" She asked, taking her purse back. It was mostly empty and she merely carried it as a fashion statement because her phone was still back at the company.
"Reforestation," Roan briefly explained, his hand placed possessively on her thigh. "I was solely invited for the publicity so you don't need to worry," He tagged on, hearing the worry in her voice.
Nova sighed in relief, she had become used to silently standing by Roan's side from how often she followed him around, and this should be no different from all that. She was still a bit nervous from the last time she went to a function with him but Levi and Stella weren't here, and neither was… Mia.
