Nova stood in the middle of Roan's big bedroom after she was done changing, not quite sure of what to do next. Instead of sitting and waiting for him, she decided to take the initiative and go look for him, her palms sweaty from how unsettled she was.
Nova opened the door to find Roan waiting right outside for her, surprised to find out that he had just been outside the door waiting for her. She braced herself to address the issue, needing to know what was going on behind Roan's smoky gray eyes. "Ro- mph."
Her words were cut off by a kiss from Roan, her eyes were wide open in shock so she saw that he was staring right at her as he did, focus in his eyes, a firm hand on her jaw.
"Why didn't you ask me for help?" Roan said after he broke off the kiss, his eyes sad.
Nova couldn't speak, she could barely catch her breath, so all she could do was stare right up at Roan who was only a few inches away, the realization hitting harder than her heartbeat.
