Killian followed after Shyla; he found her standing at the riverbank, watching the scenery of the flowing water.
Killian looked around, sensing the presence of summoned monsters nearby. "They are hiding by blending in with the natural mana around them," he whispered. He nodded. "That's why even a skilled ranger like Shyla can't detect them. Because only those who specialize in reading mana can detect them, like a skilled mage."
Killian walked towards Shyla and let her notice him as he approached. Shyla looked back; her red face was being highlighted by the sunlight.
"Killian," Shyla said softly.
Killian smiled gently. "We decided to go home now to take a rest. I am here to pick you up." He stopped a meter away from her. "You should not be wandering far from us; it would be dangerous if monsters attacked you."
"Don't worry, I can detect them," Shyla assured, turning her gaze to the gently flowing river.
