When Victoria opened her eyes, the first she noticed was she was in her bed chambers. Her head pounded and she felt a strange a chest burning sensation on the left side of her chest…just above her heart. She released a grunt as she struggled to sit up…what on earth had happened to her?
"Easy now." Alvar's voice made her pause, she blinked in shock when her blurry vision cleared to see Alvar sitting on a love chair at the opposite end of the room like he owned it (which he probably did) with his piercing red eyes watching her intently. "I wouldn't want you fainting again for no reason."
"...I fainted?" Victoria muttered in confusion, that explains how she found herself on herself on her bed when the last thing she remembered was meditating in Alvar's study.
"Strange isn't it? We touched and you suddenly collapsed."
"Ugh." Victoria placed her hands on the sides of her head in a attempt to reduce the pounding ache. "My head hurts."
