Chapter 5 - Chapter 05: Foundations of an Empire

The arrival of the New Year on January 1, 2017, heralded a fresh beginning for Mansoor. With the dawn of this significant day, he awoke with a sense of excitement, knowing that the hard work he and his deadmen had poured into their various jobs across Pakistan, particularly in the KPK and Punjab provinces, was about to bear fruit. The anticipation of receiving the first month's salary was palpable as he began his day with a morning jog, followed by breakfast and a period of waiting.

By noon, messages from his deadmen began to trickle in, signaling the distribution of their salaries. Time seemed to accelerate as Mansoor eagerly awaited confirmation from all his workers. Finally, at 4:00 pm, the last of the salaries were accounted for, and Mansoor could proceed with the calculations. The total amount was staggering: 1 billion PKR, a sum that far exceeded his expectations and marked the beginning of his aspirations to build a business empire.

With this newfound wealth, Mansoor recognized the need for swift and decisive action. He decided against the time-consuming process of building new poultry farms, opting instead to acquire existing ones. He shared his strategy with Ilyas, instructing him to seek out farms for sale and negotiate their purchase at market price, or at a premium of up to 30% if necessary. Ilyas, understanding the importance of the task, gathered a team of 100 deadmen to assist in the endeavor.

Mansoor also understood the importance of accumulating prestige and respect within the community. To avoid drawing unwanted attention from banks, government departments, or military intelligence, he wisely chose not to pool the money into a single account. Instead, he allowed the deadmen to hold onto their earnings, calling upon the funds as needed.

As he pondered his next business ventures, Mansoor realized the potential in the transportation and oil station industries. He reached out to Ilyas for an update and was pleased to learn that some poultry farm owners were willing to sell at reasonable prices. Encouraged by this news, he directed Ilyas to expand their acquisitions to include oil stations and to establish a transport company equipped with buses and vehicles.

Ilyas assured Mansoor that the tasks would be assigned and that the transport company would soon be operational. With a sense of relief, Mansoor then turned his attention to the remaining 10,000 deadmen, strategizing their distribution within his upcoming business plans.

The day flew by, and by 10:30 pm, Ilyas returned with a progress report. Six poultry farms had been secured at an average cost of 13 million each, three oil stations for a total of 90 million, and the transport company was in the process of being established. Mansoor was not disappointed by the pace of their progress; on the contrary, he was satisfied and offered praise and encouragement to Ilyas for the work done.

After a fulfilling dinner, Mansoor retired for the night. As he drifted off to sleep, he did so with the knowledge that the foundations of his empire were being laid, one calculated move at a time. The day had ended, but the journey towards a vast and prosperous business realm was just beginning.
